Different cirumstances diff needs this is why

Advantages: Its depends on your needs, but id say reliabilty and assistance
Disadvantages: cost, if there is any see above

...come into application! With Orange contracts, here comes the confusing bit!!!- with orange original tariffs such as Talk60, everyday 50. There standards tariffs they give you free insurance for the year - except for the boxed and ready accounts and the OVP price plans (the ones where you price match onto the ornage network like anytime60 (one 2 one) or virgin etc... where they dont give you it for free - the meanies!!! So if you thining of plumping, ...
...you dont want a standard orange plan that gives the cheapest or even no policy excess. However, if you have to pay for orange insurance for one year at £5 per month, if you plan to continue to cover that contract for a further year then ornage will give you 20% off, which is a nice little sweetener to carry on with insuring your handset, at a lower price the industry norm. ...

They do care but read your terms and conditions

Advantages: all round cover, easy to claim
Disadvantages: occasional dificulties on technicalities but thats normal with insurance

...good option. Some of the Orange pay monthly tariffs do have Orange Care and Orange Warranty attached to them so you pay nothing and get all the benefits!!! If your phone is lost or stolen, you must report it stolen and obtain a crime reference number within 24 hours or your claim is not covered. This is where you need to be aware of the terms and conditions if your handset is left unattended at any time there is a good chance the insurance will ...
...you report it to the Orange helpdesk they do need to run a diagnostic on the handset, which is usually done over the phone. Any more complex problems need to be referred to a technical department. If either the system or the technical department come back with the answer that either the sim or the handset is faulty a replacement can be arranged. If you did make a claim and were successful, your replacements should generally be with you within the ...

Orange phone insurance.....FAB

Advantages: They replace your phone within 24 hours
Disadvantages: It costs £6 a month but well worth it

...since then I have paid Orange £5 a month ( It has just gone up to £6) for the insurance, and to be fair I have used it a lot more than I thought I would. There have been several occasions where the phone has gone faulty through no fault of my own, so I have spoken to Orange and they will send a replacement phone within 24 hours which is fantastic, but you have to give them your old handset and they replace it with a brand new one. But there have ...
...not to keen on giving you a new phone free of charge if you have just lost it, so you need to tell them it was stolen and get a crime reference number from the police. Now depending on who you speak to and if they are in a good mood they will waive the excess fee which I think is around £10, You have to put on a really sad voice and tell them that if they don't give you it for free you are going to cancel your insurance, and they will then let you ...

Orange Insurance - Brilliant

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: The £15 "admin" fee

...my contract phones covered with Orange insurance for 3 years and in that space of time i had 2 phones replaced. 1 stolen, 1 damaged. On the occasion that my phone was stolen i had to pay a £15 admin fee which was probably the only pain with this cover. But on the 2nd occasion because the phone was damaged through no fault of my own they didn't ask this of me. The claim took about 10mins & once i'd given over all the information I always had my new ...
...month on top of my bill. I wanted a Nokia N96 and Orange were charging alot. So I got my upgrade via carphone warehouse, which means I can't take advantage of Orange Insurance and Carphone were asking for £14 a month for insurance so i haven't bothered this time. ...

Quick review of Orange Insurance

I was with orange care for about 3 years & had 2 phones replaced through them. I had never had the phone lost or stolen, so i can't comment on how easy it was to get a new one following this. But on both occasions the phone just stopped working, they'd send out someone the next day who took the old phone & replaced it with a new one. On the 2nd occasion I didn't evenhave to pay the £15 admin fee because i argued that the fault was due to the phone & nothing that i had done to it. No complaints from me. I'm actually quite disappointed that I upgraded through Carphone Warehouse because now I can't be on Orange Care anymore! ...

Quick review of Orange Insurance

Orange really are fantastic - I'd just left the Carphone Warehouse where I was paying £25/quarter (£8.33/month) for their insurance, and got a great deal and phone direct from Orange complete with Orange Care at £6/month. A month later I spilt chocolate milk on my new Samsung Soul and wrecked it (at least I didn't lose it this time...). I called Orange up, told them what happened and they immediately arranged for a replacement to be sent out to me at home the next day. They even waived the usual £15 admin cost fee as it was the first time I had claimed. It was such a pain-free, straightforward process to claim and I'm so glad I came to them instead of CPW. ...

Orange insurance.

Advantages: free service on talk tarrifs
Disadvantages: limited to some contracts

Orange insurance. I can not fault this, its free on the talk tariffs, and the service is great, you mobile phone will be replaced the next day. The customer services are quick, friendly and very helpful. They are good because they are less prone to false claims as they are they only UK network that are able to bar the phone and the sim. The insurance does not extend to some tariffs like the everyday 50, orange make it clear that it does not. ...

orange insurance-why?

Advantages: If you need to be covered for everything and your house insurance does not cover you.
Disadvantages: Very expensive and in many cases unneccesary

...mobile phone in our local orange shop when I was asked wether or not I wannted orange insurance. I was lucky the woman survivng me new my Mum and therefore would not dare to feel she had ripped me off so she told me that my phone was covered under the particular type of house insurance my Mum had. I now live in student halls and am still covered by my Mums insurance. I reccommend that you check out what type of house insurance you have because some ...

It pays to lie...!

Advantages: Good service for physically damaged handsets!
Disadvantages: Appauling if there's a fault like I had

If you are covered by OrangeCare Insurance then think carefully about what you are going to tell Customer Services. It is often better to tell them that you dropped your phone than that it is slightly faulty. Example: I have had two problems with my handset. Firstly I dropped it and it didn't work at all - it was replaced in 24 hrs. Second time the phone had some sort of software fault going on with the security password... no fault of mine... I ...

Orange Care Insurance

Advantages: No advantages
Disadvantages: They are very strict with what you are'nt and are covered on.

I think that orange insurance is basically terrible and would'nt reccomend it to any one. I made a claim over the phone and the first thing that they tried to do was decieve me into making my claim invalid, they done this by asking me what time did I realise my phon was missing and i said tea time, the person then replied what time would that be five o'clock and i replied no six. If I would have aggreeded with the person my claim would have been ...

Orange Insurance is rubbish

Advantages: Cheapest pay as you talk
Disadvantages: Insurance is too expensive and they dont tell you that you need to buy it

I bought a Just tlak orange phone and my phone got damaged 2 months after buying the phone. I rang orange and they said because it was a just talk they wouldnt replace it. and said i had to buy insurance qwithin the first 30 days and it costs 50 pounds. Thats way to much for 1 year. The good thing about orange just talk is that when you buy a 50 pound top up card - the cll charges are reduced from 35p during the day to 25p during the day and 10p ...
