    Advantages Advantages Tastes of oranges!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Really upsets my migraines as a rule!

My name is Melanie and I'm a pop-o-holic. I love the stuff and in general I'm a bit of a guzzler. I drink loads whether it be tea, pop or juice. I live at home and my mum goes mad I drink everything within sight lol I drink more than I eat and at the moment in between typing and trying to watch some Prison Break (yep women can multi task eh!) I'm drinking Orangina I bought from my local Nisa shop earlier on this evening. I'm familiar of course with Orangina though I always think it's funny that before I wrote reviews I never took much notice of things really. I took for granted I liked stuff ... more

Orangina used to be the drink of holidays. It has the sweet taste of a beach in Cyprus from when I was about 5 years old. It has the glass bottle we all remember. It was banned from my school in fact as we weren’t allowed glass bottles (and no it wasn’t a ‘rough’ school.) Ah the sweet taste of Orangina – relegated to the depths of my memory. Until today that is – alleluia to Farmfoods. Being alone as I have been all week, I’m living off a rather unhealthy staple diet of ready meals and so I made a quick visit to Farmfoods to replenish the freezer. And what should I find but Orangina and I ... more

Childhood is a brilliant thing, full of bright colours and faded memories. You saw a bit of hope in every thing, and everyday was a chance to learn something. We all had our favourites, food, clothes, toys. This opinion about my favourite drink. Orangina, the juice of my youth. Okay, Okay, I am still young, but I am talking 3 – 5 years old young. I always seemed to get this carbonated orange delight every time I went to Bradford town centre with my auntie. The many happy Saturdays I used to spend aimlessly wandering aimlessly around kirkgate market with a bottle of this clenched in my tiny ... more

I have to admit that if i am to have a fizzy drink i would normally choose diet coke but sometimes i feel like an orange fizzy drink and on those occasions Orangina is my drink of choice! Orangina seemingly started life in 1936 at the Marseille Trade Fair when its Spanish inventor originally called in Naranjina, the concept was bought by Leon Beton and produced in Algeria, production was moved to France in 1962 after Algeria won independence. The company that Beton owned was bought by Pernod Ricard in 1984. Currently the brand in Europe is now owned by Suntory a Japanese company since November ... more

    Advantages Advantages juicy bits

    Disadvantages Disadvantages it stains!

I am your classic diet coke fan, but after a night on vodka & coke I can never face the taste! Up until recently, I always went for Fanta to liven my mouth up a bit, but I have now discovered Orangina. The makers of Orangina have had the same slogan for as long as I can remember - "Shake the bottle, wake the taste" - which personally I think is pretty naff. I don't really think the labeling has changed much either, perhaps it has become a little more up to date, but nothing too drastic. Although the slogan is naff, it is actually true! If you want to coax those juicy bits out of the bottle and ... more

Orangina is a lovely, slightly carbonated orange drink, containing actual orange pieces. I buy it regularly because I'm a big fan of ornage and it's perfect for scraping the scuzz off your tongue when it feels like you've licked a carpet. I first discovered Orangina on a school trip to Paris in 1990. I've been hooked ever since. I usually buy it from the Co-op for the sake of convenience. They sell it at 61p for a 330ml bottle. Orangina comes in an eye pleasing, tear-drop shaped, clear glass bottle. It has a blue screw top cap and a smallish blue label with an orange peel motif. The glass is ... more

Advantages Advantages Healthier soft drink made with real fruit juice

Disadvantages Disadvantages If your going to shake it read the small print and do it gently

Firstly I must warn you whatever you do do not repeat not do as the bottle says…"Shake it to wake it!". As this drink is made from real orange pieces and logic told me these pieces may have settled at the bottom of the bottle I carried out the above slogan "shake it to wake it". Did I wake it? Yes! Without realising it was a carbonated drink I shook it only to receive a face full on opening! Apart from my early accident with it though I thoroughly enjoyed this drink. It is both refreshing and thirst quenching and I'm happier knowing I've plumped for a slightly healthier option as this contains ... more

Advantages Advantages Tastes real rather than sugary, has little orange 'bits'

Disadvantages Disadvantages I'm sure that the Orangina in France is better than ours, and cheaper

The first time that I ever had Orangina was when I first went to France. Upon leaving the ferry, every (British) car was handed a small bottle of Orangina to try. Thirsty from my long journey, I opened the strange glass bottle (shaped like a pear) and drank the lot. I was pleasantly surprised. It was far better than any other orange drink that I have ever had! Every time, I would say that Orangina is better than its rivals (primarily Fanta) for one main reason: it tastes real. Unlike Fanta (which is still nice), Orangina does not have such a sugary and chemical taste. With other orangeades ... more

Advantages Advantages orange bits, Tangy, Natural, Unusual packaging

Disadvantages Disadvantages Orange bits can be a little too stringy

Appeal: Orangina is a widely appealing drink, with its tropical orange colour, even the name sounds exotic. What I find particularly great about this product, were Orangina’s small glass bottles they had a gorgeous curved shape distinct to their brand. Taste : A highly appetising thirst quencher if ever I saw one, especially if you really adore oranges. One of the great unusual things about this soft drink is the real orange fruit pieces you get inside, I would associate this with the taste of Californian Orange juice because it really is that tangy. If you are throwing a party and need ... more

    Advantages Advantages Delicious and refreshing

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

Embarrassing catch-phrase aside, this soft drink has to be one of the most familiar and well known. The Coca-Cola brand may be universal and widely enjoyed, but for those in the know across the whole of Europe the gently bitty texture of Orangina is second to none. Of course, the brand and the flavour is a very continental one. Rather than the sickly-sweetness of Coke, Pepsi and other American beverages, the fizzy refreshingness of Orangina is distinctly European. It is cheap on the continent, but less so here. Its distinctive bottle shape is a familiar sight in France and other holiday ... more
