GET IT OFF MY HEAD.

Advantages: My husband likes it.
Disadvantages: hurts like heck!

After trying a number of Original Source shower gels and generally being quite impressed with the results; I decided to try the Original Source tea tree & mint shampoo (only because tesco had sold out of TRESemme!). The Original Source; tea tree & mint shampoo is in keeping with all of the Original Source products; the shampoo being a terrifically bright coloured liquid; a pea green colour and being contained within a bottle that has black, bold ...
...the bold writing that make Original Source products stand out above other products of their kind. Original Source; tea tree & mint shampoo; is priced at £2.08 (although this price may differ from store to store) for a 250ml bottle and is made by the company ‘Cussons’. The shampoo can be bought in all supermarkets and I have seen it available in corner shops as well. (Original Source has a wide range of shampoos; yet the tea tree & mint is the only ...

Mint & Tea Tree Marvel

Advantages: Gets rid of product build-up
Disadvantages: Can sting the scalp/skin, dries my hair out with daily use

The Product Original Source Mint & Tea Tree Daily Refresh Shampoo is available in 100ml or 250ml bottles, priced at 99p and £2.49 at the Original source website. The 250ml size is also stocked by Boots, Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Morrisons, and Waitrose according to their website, but I've only ever personally seen it in Boots and Tesco. Why I Bought It Though I very rarely use styling products on my hair, and so don't have a problem with product ...
...the bottle tells us that Original Source hair care products use only 100% pure and natural essential oils, and goes on to say, 'You only get cool, refreshing mint essential oil from real mint leaves. Daily Refresh Mint and Tea Tree Shampoo gives your hair that fresh, clean, natural feel. It works hard to remove product build up and improve the condition of your hair.' The shampoo also claims to be suitable for all hair types. Suitability and Warnings ...

THE MOST POWERFUL SHAMPOO

Advantages: Wakes you up, cleans well
Disadvantages: Strong smell, some may not like the sensation it gives

...I decided to give the Original Source Mint & Tea Tree shampoo a try. I had been told good things about the product previously, and my Dad had been raving on about it. But I took one look and thought no way am I putting peppermint green goo all over my head. Well, I ended up getting some just to keep people quiet. WHAT IS IT? As the product name suggests it is principally made of peppermint and tea tree oil. What is so good about these oils I hear ...
...information on both these oils. Original Source also make a variety of other products using different oils, and the company is a recognised member of the Aromatherapy Trade Council. TEA TREE OIL Tea tree oil comes from a species of paperback tree that is native to the sub-tropical coast of New South Wales and parts of Queensland, Australia. The oil remains one of aromatherapy’s most powerful tools in the fight against bacteria, fungi, yeast ...

Sniff my head

Advantages: Fresh zingy smell
Disadvantages: Can irritate some people

...a free sample of the Original Source product and found it very good I decided to return to this brand to sort out the problem. It is pretty easy to spot the Original Source products on any retailers' shelf as the contents of the various shampoos, conditioners and body washes are always bright distinctive colours contained in clear bottles with large bold product labeling in black and white print. Also at the time Boots were having a buy 2 for £3 ...
...back of the bottle then Original Source captures the powerful qualities of nature and the hair care products use only 100% natural oils, in this case the oil from real mint leaves. The product has not been tested on animals and also bears a logo which says it is suitable for vegans and it does not use any fragrances or perfume. When I used this, the first thing I noticed was that I only needed a small amount in my hand as it really does lather up ...

A Breath of Minty fresh Air For Your Hair

Advantages: Volume, Texture, That smell!!!
Disadvantages: may not be suitable for sensitive skin.

...remembered hearing good things about Original Source from other Ciao members. I looked through the bottles until i found one of the 'thickening' variety, and began to read part of the blurb on the back of the bottle, 'The shampoo is specially formulated to give fine/thin hair extra volume and body and...', that was enough, as my hair is extremely fine even for blonde hair, i was sold! So i dropped it into my basket and off i trotted. That night ...
...didn't irritate at all. Original Source do not test on animals, and all their products are dermatologically tested to lessen the chance of allergic reactions. Overall i was extremely pleased with the results of this product, and would recommend it to anyone, especially those with fine or thin hair. And at £2.99 for a 300ml bottle, it's a bargain too! ...

Source-y!

Advantages: smells great
Disadvantages: left my hair a little on the dry side

...am a fan of the Original Source shower gels; particularly the same fragrance - Tea Tree and Mint. Price and packaging~ The price probably varies depending on where you shop but I picked this up for a purse friendly 98p for a 250ml bottle at Superdrug. I think it normally retails around £1.99 but there tend to be different offers on such as BOGOF or half price at most stores. The shampoo comes in an upright standing, see through plastic bottle. The ...
...which is an intensely minty looking green - the same colour as the shower gel. The bottle is wider at the bottom and veers in thinner towards the top and has a black flip lid which is fairly easy to open. Using the shampoo~ All the usual rules apply -wet hair, lather and rinse - nothing any different to other shampoos but does it differ from others..? Using the shampoo myself~ I know the 'rules' are to use the same brand shampoo followed by it's ...

SH*T - my scalp's on fire!

Advantages: Smells lovely, cheap, leaves hair soft, shiny and manageable
Disadvantages: Smell might be overpowering for some, doesn't cut through grease

...and my latest purchase is Original Source Mint and Tea Tree shampoo. I was in a rush when I bought it, and when I got home and took a closer look, I'd decided I'd made a mistake - the green shampoo was garish and obviously artifical, which goes against the 'natural' gimmick of these Original Source products. I decided to give it to my sister, but thought I might as well try it out first! The packaging isn't that good either - it comes in a frosted ...
...This is the first Original Source product I have ever tried, and apparently, this range was inspired by Ellen Wakeman, who discovered the healing power of plants when she ran away from home in Australia. This shampoo is formulated for normal hair, and claims to leave your hair and scalp healthy and fresh. The product contains natural essential oils, with no synthetic scents, and it isn't tested on animals. It sounds quite eco-friendly, which always ...

Not Tested On Lambs

Advantages: fantastic sensation
Disadvantages: seasonal

...have recently tried from the original source range. The first ever sample I had was the ‘tea tree and mint’ shower gel and I absolutely loved it. I had high expectations of this shampoo because of the experience that I had with the gel, as the mint contents typically give what would be best described as tingling sensation, although original source refer to it as a ‘zingy’ experience! ~ Product Description ~ The product is ...

Don't Do It, You Might Regret It...

Advantages: high quality product
Disadvantages: expensive, minty smell

...the nice woman at the Original Source website (Heather). I bet she knew I’d be easy to convert though. People have always said I’m easy. It happened quite quickly in hindsight. It was sachet number two or three. I fell in love – or lust, maybe. I wanted it and I wanted it every day. I’d never been so clean. Still the emails continued, but Heather knew I was falling, she could tell. It was a few days after this that I found ...
...her I’d spent £10 on Original Source products. She must have known there and then, of course. I only realised how far I had gone recently – a few minutes ago, in fact. The dreaded jiffy bag contained the tea tree and mint shampoo. I had hated the shower gel, I knew I would hate the shampoo. I only did it for the Ciao money. (Well, I’ve got a Blake’s 7 convention to save up for!) But I got into the shower, had a quick Lush ...

Soothes my burning scalp

Advantages: Feels great Cools your head
Disadvantages: None

...could I do? Having used Original Source Tea Tree and Mint shower gel to fight burnt legs, I thought I'd see if they did a shampoo. They did - Original Mint Source Tea Tree & Mint Volumising shampoo. Packaging --------- It comes in a 300ml plastic bottle that is sufficiently transparent to show off the garish green colour of this product. An easily opened flip top allows you to squeeze the stuff onto your hand - not unlike nearly every shampoo ...
...of the great things about Original Sources products is that they aren't subtle. If it says minty or lime on the bottle, you will have the most potent minty or lime available. Lather ------ I applied a small amount to the three or four wet strands that live on my head. The product imediately lathered up very well ...

Advantages: see op
Disadvantages: see op

...about than my old favourites original source, I’ve written so many ops under this category that quite frankly I could do it on my standing on my head but I thought “No, if you want to stand a chance of winning you’ll have to go that extra mile” So I did. Tea tree tingle

Advantages: Wakes you up in the mornings!
Disadvantages: It does take a bit of getting used to

...is not too expensive try Original Source Tea Tree and Mint Shampoo (and conditioner). Boy, is it powerful. It took me a few weeks to get used to. When you wash your head with it it feels like a normal shampoo for a few moments, then, as you are washing it off you receive a cold, tingly sensation which is almost like someone wrapping your head in a cooling towel. It is not at all unpleasant, but it does wake you up.When I was a student I used to find ...
...but this would get me going in the morning. It is also lovely and cooling if you take it on your hols (and you can sometimes get little sashets for this purpose). The shampoo contains tea-tree, which is known to help problem scalps. It is not a remedy for dandruff or scalp complaints, as the formula is not strong enough, but I have found it useful to use in between my scalp treatments as it is not at all harsh and seems to keep the itching at bay ...

Minty delight

Advantages: cleans hair, keeps head lice at bay!
Disadvantages: smell will be too strong for some people

The whole range of Original Source products is known for their unusual smells. I actually got this product as part of a ‘buy one get one free’ offer.
