Product: 32” LCD television Make: Orion Features: HD Ready Price: Varied Introducing of Orion I’ve had the Orion 32” LCD Television for quite some years now, and I must admit, it is some monster of a T.V. I love sitting in my comfy chair, a beer in one hand and watching Manchester United play on the big screen. In my house it feels like being in a pub, I’ve got the bar and the 32” LCD, so I can get a drink whenever I feel, and I have a free front row seat in front of the big screen. In some ways, my house is better then the local boozer, even though I love going to the pub, because you can ... more

***~~***~~ Orion TV-32082 C ~~***~~*** When I bought my house in the ghetto, the first thing I needed, and I stress Needed, was a decent tv. Having moved out from a bedroom in mother's home to a decent sized living room I realised that my 15" was not going to cut it unless I got some seriously good binoculars. Hence a trip to curry's was in order. Armed with a list the size of a cow of necessary purchases such as washing machine, fridge, cooker, kettle, etc the first essential item had to be the TV so we headed to that section. The aforementioned Orion TV caught my eye because it looked cool ... more

    Advantages Advantages HD Ready

    Disadvantages Disadvantages It's huge!!

It was my boyfriend's birthday this weekend and as a treat I let him buy a 32" LCD HD ready TV. I know what you're thinking "let him!" but he's been bugging me about it for months and i'd run out of excuses. We looked around all of the online stores with a maximum spending budget of £450. When we looked at Comet they had a Goodmans for that price. We needed very clear specifications which I'll go into later but the Goodmans seemed to fit. When we went to the store the Goodmans looked cheep and plasticy, as well as that the speakers came out quite far at the side and made the TV look stretched ... more

Advantages Advantages Good screen size, slim profile, many connections

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only one speaker it seems, and picture quality poor in some cases

I bought this TV from Tesco around 6 months ago and have been very pleased. I watch many DVDs and have found the larger screen a must to really enjoy the experience. The sound is average but one large speaker at the front is not ideal. I had to buy a home theatre system to improve the sound. There is a good number of connections available, with three AV connections and a PC connection. I have a Wii, DVD and digital TV connected all at the same time and have used the PC connection for video conferences when working from home. Picture can be of poor quality when watching high-speed sports or ... more

5 Stars Quick review of Orion TV32082 by raymond442 20/07/2007
I bought one of these recently from Tesco. It was £20 more expensive than the cheapest "Digihome" model but it looks £200 better. It actually looks like a Toshiba or a Sony. I took it home, plugged it in and followed the instructions. It was so Easy my 3 year old could have done it. Picture is acceptible for the money and really sharp in HD. I was told Orion make for some of the big brands like Sharp. I am really pleased with it for the money. It's a real bargain and everyone comments on it when they come to ... more

Advantages Advantages Built in Freeview and is HD Ready

Disadvantages Disadvantages Freeview is not HD

I find that this TV is the right size for my bedroom at 32 inches. The picture quality is brilliant. It is a great TV for playing video games on as the HD really makes the games look a whole lot better. It comes with built in freeview although it is a shame that this freeview couldn't have been in HD. The design is very nice and looks well in any room. The sound quality is of the highest as well. The remote control is easy to use and glows in the dark to allow you to find it easily without turning on a light during the night. All in all, it is a great TV, especially when you take into ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cost

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor quality

have just recently purchased the Orion 32082 for £399 and was immediately not that impressed by the quality of the picture. I have tried to adjust the settings to achieve some sort of decent reception but it really is hit and miss. The picture on the tv can be perfect at times yet on some channels it is dreadful. If you watch Football/Sport this is not the tv for you, the set has problems with terrible motion blur which is especially highlighted during fast moving sports, for Euro 2008 I have to watch on my bedroom portable (it is that bad). Additionally, there are times when the outline of ... more

I bought this on Sunday 7th October 2007 from Currys for £299.99! An absolute bargain. Got it home, connected it, didn't even have to do an set-up. All I had to do was plug in the Virgin Media box, Wii, DVD player and then selected the right input on the remote and I was off. For the price I have to say its a excellent. Its not a Sony or LG or Samsung but hey, for the price I paid you can't have everything. I highly recommend this TV.

Advantages Advantages Good sound, good picture. In short - Excellent Value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pretty cheap looking remote - that's it.

I bought this on Sat 24 March 2007 after seeing it in Currys at 449. (I got it for slightly less elsewhere) I thought good looking TV, good size for a good price. I prefer matt black surrounds, I find the glossy ones too reflective. It really is excellent for the money. I have friends with Sony Bravia TVs and it is good enough to hold a candle to them for about half the price. The picture quality is good, a toddler could set it up, the sound is good and it looks a hell of a lot more expensive than it is. No freeview but I would recommend a TVONICs box for that purpose anyway (these are made by ... more
