I was recommend this product by a family member when we moved into a very hard water area. I was forever trying to clean the inside of my kettle but without any real luck. I bought this product from my local tesco store as they had run out of my usual de-scaler product. It was a reasonable price, at around £1.30 for a box containing three sachets of the product (i.e. three treatments). I purchased this product because I was looking for a cheap, quick and effective way of removing the lime scale buildup in my kettle. I followed the instructions as given on the packaging and I have to say I am less than impressed with the results. The actual cleaning process creates a terrible smell, it makes the air thick and breathing very difficult. I turned on the extractor fans in both the bathroom and kitchen in a effort to diffuse this but ...

I bought this product from ASDA for £1 and as per the instructions boiled half a kettle of water and added the contents and left for ten minutes. Simple enough you may think but on checking found absolutely no change to the kettle. I then reheated until the liquid started to fizz and left for another ten minutes when low and behold- nothing happened. Maybe its just the kettle (it is a cheap one but i would not have thought this would make a difference). ...
