...removing such lime-scale deposits is Oust All Purpose Descaler. I used to buy an individual sachet for 99p but lately have been buying a box, which has three sachets, from Asda, for around £1.40. The blue box has a picture of an electric kettle, iron and coffee jug to show that it can be used on many items. ...one available in Morrissons was Oust all purpose. It claims to remove limescale from kettles irons and shower heads. It had to be worth a go at £1.39 and it contains three 25 ml sachets. The instructions were simple enough. The product is supplied in three see through sachets. You are required to open one and place in a pre boiled kettle which has been half filled with water. I was recommend this product by a family member when we moved into a very hard water area. I was forever trying to clean the inside of my kettle but without any real luck. I finally found this product in our local Wilkinsons store and was very suprised when it was only £1.79 for the packet. I purchased this product because I was looking for a cheap, quick and effective way of removing the lime scale buildup in my kettle. I followed the instructions as given on the packaging and I have to say I am less than impressed with the results. The actual cleaning process creates a terrible smell, it makes the air thick and breathing very difficult. I bought this product from ASDA for £1 and as per the instructions boiled half a kettle of water and added the contents and left for ten minutes. Simple enough you may think but on checking found absolutely no change to the kettle. I then reheated until the liquid started to fizz and left for another ten minutes when low and behold- nothing happened.
