I have a confession to make and that is I love cleaning! Yes, you ready that correctly, as I simply love cleaning and find it so therapeutic, particularly if I’ve had a stressful week and I can take out a little of my aggression out with a spray can and a yellow duster! Advantages Cleans your oven really well and with minimum effort.
Disadvantages Only one bag for cleaning your oven racks.

How often do you clean your oven? I'm not even going to admit how many (or few) times I have done mine in the 3 years that I have had it! My oven was a hand me down from my Mum and Dad and my Mum is a cleaning-freak so it came to me all pretty and sparkly. The first time I cleaned my oven, I used a spray and it smelt all horrible and gave me a headache, then there was a paste thing that I tried which involved a lot of scrubbing - boo! Advantages Makes the racks and oven look brand new! Honestly! Very little effort.
Disadvantages Your daughter thinks you are going mad when you make her inspect the oven!

Racked with guilt! Not being a person who has a natural affinity to cleaning products I was nudged towards buying this by reading rave reviews on Dooyoo and Ciao. And...... The stuff is close to miraculous! I am going to write to the Pope tomorrow to see if I can get the inventor canonised! The racks in my oven are now gleaming and look brand new. I thought that they were originally black, that's how bad they were! Now I have to have sunglasses on when I open the oven door to protect my eyes from the glare. (That's a lie actually!  OVEN PRIDE  To say there is two of us in this household we do enough cooking for a family of 4, so your probably thinking if you have read my other review on Fairy Active Foam we must have a filthy house, I can assure you we don’t its just we seem to get burnt on grime everywhere, the only thing we cook in our oven is meat, roast vegetables and Yorkshire puddings, most items are covered over but the oven still gets covered in what looks like burnt on grease and grime (you know the horrible black and brown stuff). I first started using Oven Pride a few years ago - having heard people raving about this supposedly "wonder" product. Now let's face it there aren't many people who enjoy cleaning their oven and I openly admit it's a chore I hate so anything that makes it easier has to be a good thing. The Product Oven Pride comes in a box and contains a bottle of cleaner fluid, small blue latex gloves and a huge ziploc style plastic bag. The user instructions are printed on the box. Advantages Really works at cleaning your oven and racks easily and with no scrubbing
Disadvantages Gives lots of fumes when using initially, will make you ashamed of how dirty your oven is!

I quite like housework generally, I get a sense of satisfaction from everything being clean and tidy and absolutely love the feeling of sitting on the sofa with a coffee, looking around me and feeling like there's nothing else to be done! Unfortunately, since we moved into this house I haven't had that feeling because, lurking in the back of my mind, there has always been a little voice reminding me that the oven hasn't been cleaned...the one job that I absolutely loathe and detest. I know when my oven needs cleaning , it starts smoking before i've burnt the dinner! I am actually quite weird i don't mind cleaning which is a good thing in my house but and it's a big but, I HATE cleaning the oven. Especially the racks it doesn't matter how much i scrub i can never get all the black stuff off. I have tried most miracle cleaners and the best thing i found was elbow grease and a scourer. So the last time i cleaned it i moaned so much the other half bought me this ( again with the arn't i lucky to have him! ). My Dads cousin came for a few days visit and last night we were all going out for a meal, so yesterday I thought it was time to clean my oven as I would not be using it to cook any tea. I had a couple of boxes of oven pride stored away in one of my cupboards that I had bought from my local Home Bargains for £2.99 a while ago so I decided it was time to give it a try and if there is one job I HATE and HATE with a passion, it is cleaning the oven but the box states "the effortless way to clean your oven and BBQ!" so an effortless way of cleaning it sounded fantastic. Recently I treated my oven to a thorough clean. I have in the past kept it fresh by immersing the shelves in a solution of biological washing powder, in a rather handy tray I purchased just for this purpose from Lakeland Limited. This method is quite good, but it requires some scrubbing afterwards, making the whole event rather a tedious waste of time. With delight I came across a product called Oven Pride, which retails for £3.90 in all the major supermarkets. I love cooking. I learned when I was only 11, as my Mother had undergone several operations and couldn't use her arms. She sat in the sun outside the kitchen door and gave me instructions! Later at school I passed my Cookery exams and then went onto college where I studied for a Diploma in Institutional Management. I became a school cook/supervisor after I married and cooked for about 100 children. The great thing about being the cook was someone came behind you and cleared up!
