Advantages: Feels like it's doing something Disadvantages: Takes a while to apply, can make your skin very dry, has no good long term effects, in fact seemed to make my spots worse!
...eye was instantly attracted to Oxy On The Spot. It looked fairly sleek in a small silver coloured tube, and told me exactly what I wanted to hear, that it provided ‘direct action treatment for spots’. ‘Direct’ sounded promising, it also sounded quick. Just what I needed. A small tube containing 20g of cream cost me £4.50. The price may vary from city to city, most things tend to be dearer around the London way. But if you’re one of those clever Boots ... ...effective since I started using Oxy On The Spot, is covering my spots with the cream and simply leaving it on while I have a bath, and massaging it in (or what’s left of it) some 15 minutes later. It probably depends on your skin type, but I find it works for me because my skin is fairly greasy and the cream, when left on, has a drying effect which in turn, dries out my spots, calming them down and making them less noticeable. After massaging the ...

...strength. Then I came across Oxy on the Spot. To be honest, its not a cure all and it wont work over night, but it does work in the long run. Its best used on individual spots rather than a whole area of skin, as this may irritate it.
So what does it look like?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is nicely packaged in a silver box about 4 inches long. And has the Oxy on the spot logo in red and yellow on the front (sounds horrid, but isnt that bad :). Once ... ...stocking most of the popular Oxy range. The cost really depends on where you purchase it from. At Asda, at the moment, it £4, which is pretty expensive. I guess that Boots may offer it at around the same price. It is quite expensive, but again, as its for individual spots, it should last quite a while.
So whats in it? What gets rid of the spots?
The main ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, which is basically a type of ...
Advantages: I suppose its good if you have sensitive skin, good packaging Disadvantages: Expensive considering it doesn't work very well, other products work better
...acne is not through using Oxy on the Spot.
Oxy on the Spot is one of the many SmithKline Beecham products available and is rather expensive at just over £4 for a small, thin tube. Like Oxy 5 – Advanced formula (I’ve wrote an opinion on it if your interested) Oxy on the Spot contains benzoyl peroxide – which is a form of bleach. Oxy on the Spot is 2.5% benzoyl peroxide whereas Oxy 5 is 5% benzoyl peroxide. So your paying pretty much the same price ... ...I would always recommend using Oxy 5 as it is a stronger cream and gets rid of spots better than Oxy on the Spot.
Oxy on the Spot is also rather messy; the cream takes a long time to rub in and leaves your skin feeling greasy. Oh and a word of warning – even if you have really bad spots/acne do NOT rub in Oxy on the Spot, Oxy 5 or any other similar cream all over your face. That is unless you want your skin feeling very dry and a possible rash. ...
Advantages: Does dry the little things up a bit quicker Disadvantages: Doesn't work miracles
Why, oh why, oh why does it always happen?
You know what I mean...... the day you plan to do something out of the ordinary (or not so in my case, i'll explain later) you wake up and feel that little tingling sensation.....
"OH NO"
is usually the normal response....
then, sure enough, after confirming it for yourself in the mirror, you've got one of those little red blighters staring back at you.
People no longer talk to you, they talk to *IT*.
... ...planning to have a photo taken for my provisional license [yes, I know i'm nearly 18 and i've had a whole year to do this, but there we go!]. But this little blighter gives me one extra excuse not to go and sit myself in a photo booth! (hehehe!)
Anyway, back onto the product in question.
First things first:
~ Does it work!?!?! ~
This is the most important question of all. And the answer? Yes and a bit of no. If your expecting miracles then please ...
...on the spot! Oxy on the spot is a SmithKline Beecham product. The active ingredient which dries the spot up is benzoyl peroxide (2.5% to be precise) Expect to pay about £4 for a 20g tube. Oxy on the spot can be found on the shelf but I feel a more effective cream is required. Oxy 5 – which has 5% benzoyl peroxide content – is sold behind the counter. It is a similar price as oxy on the spot and I think I’m going to try it out!
On the whole, oxy on the spot is not for me. I would not recommend it but then it didn’t work for me but who says it might not work for others??!! Im going to ...
...This product is called Oxy On The Spot.
It comes in a tube that is about the length of the mouse on your computer (looking for something that you can easily compare the size of it to, thats the best i could do!)
The tube is supplied in a silver box, when I say silver, you can almost see your face in this thing.
On the box is the words 'OXY' in big pink capital letters, and then in yellow, 'ON THE SPOT' in yellow capitals on a blue background.
... ...This is in the form of a white cream.
---HOW DOES IT FEEL ON YOUR FACE?--- It may sting you when you first use it but I see this as a good thing as it feels as though those evil little buggers are getting burned!!!
I find it slightly, but very slightly, dries the skin out.
---WHAT IS THE PRICE OF IT?---
I payed a whopping £4.99 for this cream, I was desparate. I got it in Tesco, as I have said, but today, I bought my second tube of it for 84p ...
I suppose this is a well known product amongst teenagers and those who suffer from spots, I must admit to have used this product during my teens. It was what was always advertised as the product that would make spots go away.
oxy on the spot is definitely spot on when it comes to combatting those zits. I had tries many things in the past but this seems to be the best yet. I may be older and less prone to 'them' now but when I do it zaps the little buggers. ...great new solution from the OXY range it’s basically called “OXY on the SPOT”. This great new spot treatment cream gives direct action to the spot making changes over night. This cream is applied to the affect areas of the problem and is left overnight, what not to do is apply to large areas of the face as this can dehydrate the skin and make it flaky as I found out a couple of weeks ago.
Advantages: 'Cheapish', easy to apply, effective over time. Disadvantages: Turns white when you perspire, makes your skin red and itchy.
As most spot treatments go, Oxy On The Spot is curiously hard to find. In my experience the only shop that appears to stock it is Superdrug and although Superdrug have stores in most major shopping centres it's not a shop that I would otherwise use very often. This has advantages but also drawbacks. It is easy to apply and doesn't sting but turns white when you perspire which can be embarrassing and, like all benzoyl peroxide products, can make you skin red and itchy due to the skin peeling action. In addition, it can occasionally clump up with moisturisers, but if you don't use a moisturiser your skin will end up very dry and will peel ...
Well, i was about 11 when i first started to get acne, and there were no products out there that seemed to work for me. When i was 13ish it was my grandma that first gave me some to try, she had just bought it on the spur of the moment for me. Advantages: Actually works! Disadvantages: Pricey (like all spot stuff), can irritate sometimes
Having had spots since around age 13 (it sucks) I've always been looking for effective washes and creams. I must have used around 3 or 4 different creams, and I eventually came across this one, and only bought it because I hadn't tried it. Followed instructions (use twice a day) and after a few days, spots were much better! Apparently some people experience irritation or dehydration, but I was fine.
I was intrigued enough to look up how this product ... ...action. Mainly, it dissolves keratin, the material which blocks pores in the first place and causes spots, and secondly it kills bacteria. So you should be aware that putting it on a spot won't really have much effect, however it is very good at making sure you don't get any more appearing.
Price wise this is a little pricey, but all spot products are, and I'd definitely say it's worth it. If you use it properly, it should last you a couple of weeks ...
