(Update at the bottom) I can't remember exactly when I started using PC2Call, but I am so glad I found it. Once you have signed up you can immediately start using the service providing you have a microphone and speakers. It is recommended that you have a headset, something I would advise. Without it you get a whine on the line, which can be very annoying. Not to mention the privacy problems with having the other person's voice blaring out the speakers! ...
...have free Internet at home and at university, PC2Call is perfect for chatting to my girlfriend for long periods of time. It costs nothing! The quality is excellent - almost like a mobile phone. The applet for running the service downloads pretty quickly, even with a normal 56K modem. PC2Call is available for calling other countries, but this is at a cost. The rates are cheap though - 3p a minute for France. Only the UK is free, but I don't use it ...

This is a really great free service that you can use online, phoning any uk landline for free on the web. All its costs is the origional cost that you are paying whilst online. Pc2call do not charge for this excellent service. And if you have a business online you can incorparate this onto your web page so that a customer can phone you whilst online and make an order and this is also free too.
