Manufacturer's product description
The NVIDIA Quadro FX 550 by PNY delivers cost-effective solutions without compromising quality, precision, performance, and programmability for professional 3D environments. Advanced features including a 128-bit floating point graphics pipeline, 12-bit subpixel precision, and fast GDDR3 memory, make the NVIDIA Quadro FX 550 by PNY the perfect choice for entry workstations. Implementation of Rotated Grid FSAA introduces far greater sophistication in the multi-sampling pattern, significantly increasing color accuracy and visual quality of edges and lines without compromising performance.
Advantages: veyr fast, good processor speeds, beats any card on the market, 256 MB RAM Disadvantages: very, very, very expensive, not really anything wrong with it
...▲How it came to me ▲
Well, my graphics card before this one was, quite frankly, rubbish, to say the least. I brought some new games that demanded a faster and reliable graphics card, so, I told them I wanted to get the PNYNVIDIAQuadroFX, which I was very happy about buying after I received it.
I paid something in the region of £2,250, from Dabs.com, I’m not joking either, I was fed up with graphics cards that don’t work and that most games aren’t compatible with. Well, I was in one hell of a surprise with the quality of this card, and how quick it was as well.
I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t going to be ripped off, so I went for Dabs.com, because I know that they deliver quickly, and that it would come to me on time. I waited four days for this to turn up, I made dabs.com pay for recorded delivery so...

Advantages: Dual Display, Great Driver Interface Disadvantages: Drivers Out Of Box Dont Work, Adjustments have a small learning curve.
...The card itself works great once you fiddle with the settings, I learned early on that when the computer asks to be restarted its wise to do so. The drivers that come with the card create a lot of problems, and it is just easier to grab the latest drivers from nvidia's website. The settings must be done in a special order to avoid the machine wanting to reboot several times before getting decent resolution options. The card does manage to play most older titles such as "GTA3" and its opengl support is adaquate with a fast enough machine.
Its a good card after it has been tweaked, but I would advise getting a geforce series if you want the dual monitor functionality....

Advantages: Resolution Disadvantages: struggle at times in PRO-E when you have a part with lots of faces and edges mainly around the fillets

I haven't had any major problems with my graphics card.
It does tend to struggle at times in PRO-E when you have a part with lots of faces and edges mainly around the fillets (rounded edges). The model becomes transparent in these areas and looks rubbish. I use print screen quite a lot to get images out for reference purposes or for design reviews and that doesn't look good when I do that.
The resolution is more than enough I can get this card to go down to: 1600 x 1200 and I do use this facility sometimes if it's a big assembly then maybe a higher resolution would be good but I wouldn't use that very much.
I don't know whether this problem is associated with the graphics card but I get terrible colour differences between my screen and printouts.
I also find when I'm moving large...
