Advantages: tugs on your heart strings Disadvantages: I cant read a book whilst crying
I am now a fully fledged member of the library. And god I love that place! That's where I met you. And I honestly don't regret picking you up - You must understand I never usually do that kind of thing...
It wasn't the library where I noticed you first, but whilst watching Richard and Judy - you were one of their choices, and you quickly became mine. You just looked my type, and to top it all you sounded like my type.
Anyway I took you home, ...

Advantages: Good easy reading Disadvantages: A bit slow towards the end
Don't get me wrong the book wasn't bad. Not the best I've ever read either, and definitely in my opinion not worthy of five stars!
I was reluctant to read the book, as I thought it sounded unbelievably sloppy from the blurb, but I was told it wasn't have as bad as it sounded, which it wasn't.
Without giving too much away the basic storyline is that there is a couple, Holly and Gerry, who are madly in love and then he dies. The book is all about ...

PS. I liked you Review ofPS I love you - Cecelia Ahernby

Advantages: Easy to read, light and short Disadvantages: Predictable, soppy and sometimes cringe worthy
Cecelia Ahern, the 22-year-old daughter of Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, writes with insight beyond her years in her debut novel, P.S. I Love You, a book at once poignant and comical, introspective and farcical.
Holly Kennedy, 29, has just become a widow when the novel opens, her husband Gerry—her best friend, lover and soul mate—having succumbed to a brain tumor. Holly slogs through aimless days and nights with only memories to keep her ...

Advantages: Good Summer Read Disadvantages: Not for those who want an in-depth storyline
This book was recommended by a friend at work so I thought it would be ideal to read for my summer holidays. This is Cecelia Aherns first novel, she is a young Irish novelist, daughter of Bertie Ahern the Irish politician (and if you want some other useless facts her sister Georgina is married to Nicky one of the guys from Westlife - why I want to admit to knowing that I dont know!)
I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but I am always ...

Advantages: great story, easy read, makes you think Disadvantages: none
Reading this book wasn't really my choice. I kept complaining in the evenings, that I finished all my books and haven't got anything else to read. So my parter went off and bought me this book. (isn't he just a sweetheart :-) ) And I'm glad he did, because I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It was very difficult to put the book down once I started.
The storyline:
The main character is Holly, who is a young widow and has to learn ...

I had made a promise to myself at the beginning of the school holidays (I'm a teacher) that i would make more time for myself to do some reading. I needed some inspiration as to what to read other than my usual magazines and newspapers. I wanted something I could get lost in. And that's exactly what I found.
I saw a this book in Glamour magazine as one of their must reads then i found it in a local bookstore and read the blurb on the back. I just ...

Advantages: Funny, heartwarming Disadvantages: Not the ending I expected - although maybe not necessarily a bad thing!!!
I thought I would re-edit this review, as I was advised to at the time but never got round to it! So, here goes . . .
I received this book by accident and was prepared to hate it, simply because it was written by the Irish PM's daughter and I was convinced it was on that basis she had got a book deal. Also, she is the sister-in-law of Westlife singer Nicky Byrne, which gave me even more reason to hate her AND the book (I detest Westlife!) I also ...

This is Cecilia Ahearn's debut to the world of fiction and oh what an entrance.
I am not a huge book reader on a day to day basis but I love a good read when I am on holiday lying by the pool. And this is a good read. The story follows Holly who, in her 30's, loses her loving husband Gerry to a brain tumor.
Gerry leaves Holly a series of notes which should be opened monthly telling her what he wants her to do each month - all to help her move ...
