Advantages: Great value, good sound
Disadvantages: Limited range.

Paiste make a huge range of cymbals, starting with quite cheap, up to the rediculously expensive. The 302 range is the cheapest that they sell. However, cheapness does not mean they are rubbish cymbals. Far from it. I have owned a set of Paiste 302's for about 4 years. I bought them as a set for about £140. Disadvantages: quality

Paiste have a large range of cymbals, of which these, the 302's, are at the very bottom. They are however, reasonable quality cymbals, and still better that much of the pre-packed rubbish that comes with many kits nowadays. In general the quality is okay, not brilliant, but hey, these are entry-level cymbals and the price reflects that. Advantages: small and good cymbal for beginners
Disadvantages: wishy washy sound, barely any sustain

I have had this cymbal for a year now. I loved it as a beginner but the sound is depleting and it has lost its sustain over a longer period of use. It is an ideal cymbal for starters because it is in a lower range it is much cheaper. It will not cost the pocket of a fickle musician who may give up very soon after starting and this may induce angry parents.
