Advantages Advantages Good radio reception, looks cute, quite cheap if you shop around

Disadvantages Disadvantages The mood lights dont really do anything for me, thats when they do work!

People that know me will tell you how much I love a good soak in the bath! It has become a running joke to my friends as I seem to spend more time sat in the bath than I do anywhere else! I think it is because when I am in the bath I am letting myself relax and unwind and to me that is really important. I used to enjoy reading a book or magazine in there but would always end up with the bottom of the pages being soaked in water so I now like to listen to the radio. I was lucky enough to have been brought one of the Paladone Floating Light Effect Duck Bath Radios for Christmas off my mum, she ... more

Advantages Advantages Cute, radio works okay.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lights won't turn off.

Just before Christmas I was running out of gift ideas for my partner and I was having a little look through Amazon for some novelty stocking fillers. When I saw the Paladone Floating Duck Radio it immediately appealed to me as my partner always takes her iPhone into the bathroom when she's in the bath to listen to music and has had a few near misses in the past with her phone getting wet. At £10 I didn't think the price was too bad, maybe a little expensive for a stocking filler but I'd been struggling to find much else at this type of price so I popped it into my basket. When the duck came it ... more

Advantages Advantages Not many really, works, just about.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not waterproof, flawed light design, poor quality.

A couple of years ago I got my husband a little duck radio for floating in the bath. It lasted just a matter of months and the reception was rubbish, I was sad when it eventually bit the dust (not even sure why that was!) and so I guess when my husband saw this on Amazon he thought it would be a good idea as he remembered how much I liked the original duck we had. He picked this up for me and gave it to me at Christmas 2011. This really was one of my little stocking presents, despite the size, and I was very pleased with this when it gave it to me but also not filled with confidence that this ... more

Advantages Advantages Convenient, safe, offers mood lighting and ability to quickly change station.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor sound quality, not the best choice.

I have always listened to music in the bath. Perhaps you could say there is nothing more dangerous, but I used to plug my stereo on and run the wire under the bathroom door to listen to my music in the bath. As it is quite a dangerous thing to do I decided to look for a better solution and I came across the Paladone Floating Mood Light Effect Duck AM/FM Bath Radio. The product is basically a rubber duck with a built in radio and mood lighting. I love laying in the bath and having some music to listen to, calm and soothing music to help me relax. The Paladone Duck costs around £10-£12 online ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice design, works well in the bath

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't find every radio station, sound quality

I bought this as a novelty Christmas gift for my partner and it cost £15. It is an AM/Fm radio with mood lighting. It requires 3 AAA batteries that are not supplied with the radio. This was bought as a novelty item and has always been used as such. There are not many times when my partner or I turn off the light in the bathroom when having a bath. Obviously with the bathroom light on, the mood lighting on the duck is slightly redundant. However if you do have the light off it does give off 7 different colours that change at regular intervals. My daughter likes this and she will sit in the dark ... more
