Advantages: Great protection for your Palm device Disadvantages: none it does a superb job
I purchased my Palm carry case with my Palm Tungsten and in doing so made a slight saving. To purchase one of thee snazzy cases is going to set you back around £20, they are currently £18.99 at Amazon.co.uk.
The case is made of Aluminium and has a hard plastic interior. It is a hinged unit with an additional small long rectangular arm attached to the hinged area of the unit. This arm is used to attach your Palm unit to the case in a simple slide ... ...Your Palm is now connected to the case and is moveable as in the pages of a book. This allows you to easily turn it of an on and reset it should the necessity arise. Fitted to the case the front of your Palm is accessible as per usual. A slot with a soft plastic cover is located at the top of the casing; this part allows the insertion and removal of your SD card. Advantages: Great looks, solid protection for your Palm Disadvantages: No access to connections
With Palm making great looking PDA’s it is no surprise that this case for the Tungsten E has great looks. It’s brushed aluminium looks and smooth lines are great. Inside the case is a smooth plastic lining with holders for two SD cards. Whilst there is no holder it is also possible to store a few business cards behind the palm itself. The front cover can fold right back so that it sits under the back cover to make it easy to work from at a desk whilst ... ...is 9mm thicker than the palm with no cover. The case itself is light (85 grams).
Durability and protection
The case offers great protection. Already I have dropped my Palm whilst in the case. My Palm survived happily but the case does have a very small dent at the point of impact. The cover does pick up some marks from everyday usage but these are not significant and are not easily spotted at a quick glance. The plastic lining seems particularly ...
