Advantages: Easy to use, Small, Sleek and Smart Disadvantages: None
I purchased the Palm M515 from an ebay member through one of their auctions. Firstly I found the Ebay service exceptional, easy and understanding.
As for the product I would rate this 10 out of 10. The positive points about the product were its sleek, smart and small appearance which complimented my own look. It has a professional feel to it and can be used in any social or work environment.
The product itself comes with an interactive menu that ... ...different menus and programme the Palm device to show your favourites, just like Windows on a PC.
It comes with a standard 8mb internal memory, which I at first thought it did not sound like much as I am used to using a PC. However the programmes, games and other software that you install on the Palm are 'downsized' compared to the standard PC programmes. So 8 meg is most sufficient to start with. I still have not purchased a separate memory card ...

Advantages: TFT colour, light, clear bright screen Disadvantages: no speaker, sound quality not great
I got my palm as a means of quick access to documents when I’m on the go, and to review some of the work I do, and to show it to others.

* 33Mhz Motorola Dragon Ball Processor
* 4.1 operating system
* 16Mb of memory
* Colour TFT screen
* Battery life 5-6 hours
* 3 Backlight levels(off, low and high)
* Capability of some sound, adequate for midi
Programs that come supplied
* Synchronisation software

The m515 is now greatly lower in price and can be purchased for around £200. There are many other models out there. However the m515 will always be a great companion for those who need to do a bit of work on the go, or for ...

Advantages: Lightweight - looks the business. Disadvantages: Very short life span
...new nfo entered on my Palm was easily downloaded to my PC.
I deliberately haven't given the technical terms mainly because I can't remember them but it did what it said on the tin. I didn't go in for video imaging; for me it was purely a business tool. A sooper dooper organiser. And I have to say some clients were very impressed when I brought it out rather than the diary or a file. It did give the impression that one was very efficient and organised ... ...nothing. When I contacted palm via their site the first response was that I was just out of the warrenty period. However I could send it to them for repair but it would cost me £110.00. I am now the not very impressed owner of a piece of palm sized metal.
I know this review isn't technical and doesn't describe rams, matrix's, hot syncs and all the rest of it but I don't understand some of these terms, and if more people were really honest neither ...

Advantages: compact, easy to use Disadvantages: battery runs down unpredictably
...PDAs when I bought my Palm M515, so was a bit nervous about getting it set up, but the installation disks are easy to understand and I got it working!
I love the fact I can check out Word documents and Excel files and the note function is really useful.
There is so much stuff on the web to help with this product that even a novice (me!) can work out what to do & get hold of great free stuff, too.
My one disappointment is the battery.
Sometimes ... ...when I'm miles from home on business with no charger - it dies in a day. Yet my usage is fairly constant.
Palm's response on this was that it's a "product feature" and that a "hard reset" (i.e. erasing all your data and re-installing) was the only answer. Very scary. I think it fixed it. But now it's let me down, it's hard to trust it again...
So, if you want a great PDA and are prepared to carry a charger, then this little guy may be just what ...

i have been using palm handhelds for a long time (almost three years). the first handheld i had was the palm v, and know i have bought the palm m515. ever since i bought palm v i realized that in spite of the price, it was a good investment. a lot of people told me that i was crazy buying it, because it wasn't very usefull, but now i wouldn't be able to live without it. with this "mini computer" you can practically do everything. it comes with an ... ...to transfer it to your palm and read it in your way home. you can also read your email in the palm and write new messages that will be sent when you synchronize the data with the pc. if you do not have enough with the applications that the palm brings built-in, don't worry, there are lots of applications you can buy or download from internet to install in your palm: games, photo viewers, maps, accounting, etc... through the infrared port, you will ...

...ACT! 2000, I find my Palm invaluable as I can upload/download information between it and my desktop PC.
The Palm comes with a cradle that is used to re-charge the batteries as well as provide a link to my PC. It is compact - pocket sized - yet very functional. All your contacts, to-do's, notes, expenses, appointments etc. in one place!! (With a backup on your PC if anything goes wrong!)

First time when i got one of those, was 2 years ago. As soon as i've bough this PDA i got every scaduale of mine arranged, almost immediatly i got tons of games on it that are spread all over the internet, and it helped me to store big ammounts of texts / pictures / memoes / etc.

For the ones that like to surf the internet, can also have fun with it because of the variaty of ways to connect to the internet through it and work there !
note : I stillthink that PDAs are better than Pocket PCs, because each one of them requires another kinds of applications to work with, so in persantage, Pocket PCs use "programs" that take more and works slower than the same "program" for a PDA. (but Pocket PCs has ...

Advantages: User friendly Disadvantages: Needs additional software to synchronise
What would I do without it? All my work and personal contacts, all my appointments, expenses, notes - even photos of my loved ones. With a Bluetooth card I can email and access the web via my mobile phone. Only problem - I had to buy Intellisync to synchronise with Lotus Notes, which is our calendar and email system at work. ...is more than adequate for Palm OS 4.1. It has a fast and responsive colour TFT screen. On comparison with a friends mono m500 with the same processor, the m515 is strangely quicker.
The viewing angles are not as great as the iPAQ's etc., but it is more than adequate with two backlight settings.
