Advantages: Fully usable handheld computer and phone combined Disadvantages: Battery life, small standard memory
...fingers - I chose the Palm Treo 750v as my next mobile phone of choice.
"Why?" I hear you collectively cry. "Why have you gone for something that appears so unwieldy it will make your pocket look like the crotch of a 1970's porn star? Why have you gone for something so riddled with keys it's clearly trying to be a Blackberry and not quite making it? Why - oh why - have you gone for a brand that, two years ago, was fading in to the background as ... ...like a porn star, the Palm Treo 750v is actually a very good phone - and, contrary to popular belief, it's not trying to be a Blackberry at all. The Treo is something a little bit more than a phone and, since Palm stopped using their own operating system and moved across to the Windows Mobile platform, it's actually rather clever and easy to use, too.
As a phone, the Treo is probably a little bulky, but it's actually not as big in your pocket as ...

Advantages: One machine to carry. Quick internet access. Easy to operate Disadvantages: Lousy camera, ringtones
...been a heavy user of palm pda's for a few years I was reluctant to part with them, however it was getting a bind carrying my mobile phone and pda around with me. I thought long and hard about the choices and decided to stick with Palm and go for the Treo 750v. I sold my phone and pda on ebay and away I went. I have now used the Treo for 4 weeks and feel I made the right decision... why?
The treo if is has any fault is larger than my mobile phone ... ...reception. I miss the palm os software and slowly I am now getting used to the windows mobile programme which is on the Treo.
I like the way that you can seamlessly move around the programmes.
I use the calendar, notes, tasks, word programme, internet explorer and messages on a regular basis. I am not 'into' playing games on these as I have a nintendo ds which I prefer to use. Also having an ipod I have not utilised the music player, but will consider ...

Advantages: Can't think of any Disadvantages: Standby time less than 24 hours; not user-friendly
...gave me a UK Vodafone-branded Palm Treo 750v, with the good (www.good.com) software preinstalled for email connectivity and sync with the corporate exchange server.
Battery life: extremely poor. If I fully charge the telephone in the evening, it is fully dead in less than 24 hours. And we're talking about standby time, not actual usage: I tried this on weekends, when I received no emails nor calls, nor made any myself. My private phone is a Nokia ... ...Blackberrys because apparently Treos are more secure, or so they say. But, since Treos are terrible phones, most of us in the office now carry both a Treo and a proper mobile phone. What a waste and what an inconvenience! Thanks, IT department, and thanks a lot, Palm and Microsoft! ...

Advantages: Looks and feels good Disadvantages: No wireless, Non-standard USB connector, Small screen, Slow
...USB disk, etc... etc... etc..., Palm seem to have decided to cash in on the replacement cable market. For me it's yet another cable to carry around and yet another cable to have left at the office when I need it at home and vice versa.
It was painful moving from my old M5000 to the M3100, only purely because of the screen size that I was about to lose out on; I've adjusted, but I miss the screen size on the old M5000 - but at the cost of mobility ... ...a brick!!). Moving to the palm 750 is even more painful! If you ever decide to throw GPS at it, or watch a video, or enjoy the pleasures of transcriber, then you're kinda stuffed with the Palm's tiny screen. And to what gain? - the shape and size of the 750 isn't that much better or nicer than the M3100, and I prefer the keyboard on the M3100.
It's slow. They've stuck a slower processor in it than what I get in my M3100; it's not too noticeable ...

Quick review of Palm Treo 750v
FRUSTRATING!
I find the Treo 750v a very frustrating phone to use. The charging port hole is very small, so the cord will not stay engaged properly. This is true for the mobile charger, as well as the wall outlet charger. The only way I have found to give mine a full charge without repeated disruption from the charger falling out is to use the synchronization device from the computer attached to the phone at the same time the battery charger is docked into it. The charger is able to remain successfully in the docking device while it is installed in the phone. The battery life is very short, so it must be charged daily or it goes completely dead. ...

Quick review of Palm Treo 750v
A mobile office all in one. I no longer need my Palm PDA or laptop. In fact I just need the Treo and the folding keyboard which both fit discreetly into my handbag. Here I have phone, camera, internet connection, diary, games, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and I can even read PDF's. Only one downside, the camera is only 1.3 but still good enough to put into documents if not stretched too much. Work can even be saved on the external memeory card. What a little gem!! ...

Advantages: Best compromise between PDA and high-end mobile phone I've seen yet. Disadvantages: No facility to charge via mini USB cable.
Super device. Everything you would expect is present. The 750v integrates well with Microsoft Exchange/Outlook and operates in an efficient manner. The camera picture and sound quality are adequate. This device offers a good compromise between the functionality of a top-end mobile phone and a PDA. As a former Blackberry 7100v user the only features I miss are the Blackberry track wheel and the ability to charge up the device via a mini USB cable. ... ...QWERTY keyboard compares favourably with the BB which, on my model, used one key to represent 2 characters and one numeric. The stylus operated touch screen is responsive and the stylus fits nicely into the unit. I have a 2GByte mini SD expansion card fitted for extra capacity. The software supplied allows browsing the connected device as a set of WIndows folders for easy transfer of files. Battery life is adequate. ...

...could all actually fit the palm of my hand. I am a mother of two little ones and it's my perfect partner with my daily multi-tasking but best of all I get to steal moments very easily to work on my literary pieces on the word application minus a bulky laptop wherever I go even while pushing a buggy - how great is that?! The only down side is the camera, but it doesn't bother me much because I prefer a proper camera anyway. ...

...the opportunity to acquire the Palm Treo 750v from a colleague at a very low price. He already had the very handy TomTom application and due to my sat nav breaking I decided to buy it from him.
I have liked the look of the phone which comes accross as an expensive well built product and have found the software relatively easy to use due to it being Windows based just like most home computers.
As I have already said I had the Tom Tom application ... ...to the phone not having GPS built in it means you also need to carry the GPS receiver with you. Also if you don't have the Tom Tom application it can cost just as much as the cheaper Tom Tom sat navs.
I have found many of the applications such as powerpoint, excel and word handy to have, however feel you have to be very desperate to use them due to the difficulty of typing with the small qwerty keyboard. You do have the option of using the touch ...
