Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula moisturiser is something I’ve used for a very long time now. I always buy mine from Home Bargains as this is where it’s the cheapest, however, this very popular product is available just about anywhere to buy. It’s in every supermarket and chemist I have been in though it costs more in Sainsbury’s I have recently noticed. I pay only £1.59 for a 250ml bottle from Home Bargains. It lasts me for ages, even though I use it very regularly, and so it works out excellent value for money. I first started to use this moisturiser when I was pregnant with my daughter some ... more

About: I had been thinking about buying this product for a while but always hesitated because of the cost. However, I had been given a £15 Superdrug voucher and decided to purchase it as I wanted to try something new and had the money to spoil myself in a more expensive moisturiser. The product: It smells lovely. I like coconut sort of smells but cocoa definitely wins me over; I have smelt some other cocoa moisturisers and bath products but this cocoa scent beats all. I have not been using it long enough to tell if my little stretch marks on the top of my leg has decreased in visibility yet ... more

Advantages Advantages Wonderful smel, easily absorbed and great for dry skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not keen on the pump action bottle

I feel like I've re-discovered Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion. I bought it recently after my usual lotion wasn't available. When I got home and put it on I had one of those flash-back moments of being a kid and my nanny smothering me in cocoa butter lotion. I was never sure if she was trying to baste me like a turkey! I'm not suggesting the lotion smells of goose fat, rather it has that lovely warm cocoa smell and I'd forgotten how gorgeous it is. It is marginally more expensive than other 'leading brands' (see below) but I have noticed a much greater improvement in my dry skin than with other ... more

Advantages Advantages after affects are smooth

Disadvantages Disadvantages scent is a little overpowering, and thick liquid takes time to absorb.

well, the only thing that really disappointed me about this product was that when i took it to the counter to pay; it have almost doubled in price since i looked on the shelf. It had been marked wrogn sadly and i ended up spending more money than hoped. Other than that it is a fairly good product, i liked the cocoa smell, it was sweet, if a little overpowering, but left an almost edible sent behind; which i have eventually become accustomed to. It amkes my skin feel nice and smooth. But is a rather thick liquid; which means it takes a while to sink in. I particularly liek this product because ... more
