Plus the smell of the cocoa butter is quite strong and as it's also an artificial scent, I think it somehow reacts with the skin, warm temperature or something, because the scent gradually changes into some annoying aroma that puts you off sitting near to anyone for the worry of smelling like you had terrible body odour or something. I've been using this stuff for a few years now and I love it :) I first bought some from Body Care when I was killing time and smelling all moisturisers in the shop (...like you do) and I stumbled across this little beauty! My first thoughts were 'this smells like chocolate truffles!!' which is a good thing, I read the front - 'Smoothes marks - tones skin' which I needed, being at that age where stretch marks were really starting to show, plus I ... ...The back says - 'Palmers cocoa butter, enriched with vitamin E, is an advanced moisturiser that softens, smoothes and relieves dry skin. Also helps smooth and blend unattractive marks and scars. An excellent after tanning butter. Widely recommended for stretch marks, during and after pregnancy. ...have also started using the palmer's coco butter oil every now and then after a shower, this helps your skin to retain even more moisture so it's even softer. Also I regularly exfoliate ( Boots exfoliating gloves and Original Source almond scrub if anyone's interested!) which I think helps with the coco butter to make my skin really soft. Good enough to eat Palmers Cocoa butter formula comes in at a not cheap £3.19 from Boots (not sure of the price elsewhere)For this price you get 250mls of pure indulgence! In fact you feel like licking it off your hands as it smells like creamy vanilla with a huge hint of chocolate tones! The smell can last most of the day and makes you feel all warm inside (can even help to cheer up the winter blues)! Though I say all this the main purpose of this ... ...Loaded with vitamin E you can already sense that this is a good moisturising product! But of course many products claim to be loaded with vitamin so does it really work on the skin?.......
The answer is, from my experience - YES indeed it works! I decided to buy this product on recommendation from a friend when I was pregnant! As many will know when pregnant the baby takes all the good nutrients - vitamin E being one of the nutrients that are sucked ...

I have been using 'Palmers Cocoa Butter' on and off for many years. Palmers Cocoa Butter retails for about £4 - £4.99 for the 270g pack. I buy mine at the local beauty shop and have also bought it in Superdrug previously.. It comes in a large white opaque round jar with a white screw top cover with the words 'Palmer's' in an orange caption and the 'Cocoa Butter Formula' in white letters with a brown caption box.. The rest of the jar has words 'with ... ...'Smoothes Marks & Scars' on the front. The product itself is a dark cream (almost yellow) body butter with a smooth feel. Palmers Cocoa Butter has a sweet noticeable coconut scent on opening the jar and this scent remains long after application to the skin. A few years ago a friend told me of this amazing body lotion. "it's less than 4 quid and it'll get rid of them stretch marks and make your skin feel great" she said.
"yeah if you say so!" I said.
A week later i was shopping and came across this so called "magic cream". I looked, thought oh well, £3.59, nothing ventured, nothing gained!
That evening i had a bath, shaved my legs and tried the cream.
Expecting a cheap and watery lotion i was pleasantly ... ...lusious, thick cream, smelling what i can only describe as heavenly. Still the eternal cynic i progressed to apply this lotion. It glided onto my skin and provided immediate relief from the dryness caused by the shaving. Once on for a couple of minutes it had absorbed into my skin and made it feel wonderful. I was left with soft, smooth, glowing skin and so so soft!! Sweetly scented and did I mention soft?!! I was almost convinced, but ah, the stretch ...

Palmers cocoa butter is not only a very nice smelling skin moisturizer that can be confused by little children of being chocolate (e.g. my little brother), but it also has a lot of scientifically proven skin benefits. Cocoa Butter contains a mixture of cocoa butter and Shea butter which is proven to help to restore elasticity to the skin and helps to repair cuts and burns to the skin without leaving a scar, it is also great for extremely dry or even ... ...can provide intense moisture and repairing of the skin. Also cocoa butter contains Vitamin E which is already proven to benefit the skin massively, also elastin that is the protein responsible for the elastic properties in the skin which is why cocoa butter is so helpful for stretch marks during pregnancy.
Cocoa butter smells sooo yummy that you just want to eat it. I'm sure that once you start using it that you will most probably never go back ...

I had noticed this product on the shelves at Boots but not bought it as the packaging was quite plain and unappealing and the price was so low (around £3.00) I thought "cheap and nasty". However a friend recommended it to me and i was very pleasantly surprised.
The lotion comes in a bottle so i was expecting quite a runny consistency. But no - the lotion is really thick. The first thing you notice is the chocolately smell. I find the texture very ... ...feeling soft and smelling gorgeous. However its chocolatey fragrance is not for everyone - shared it with another friend whilst on holiday and she hated the smell. I like the fragrance it leaves on my skin but it could clash with some perfumes etc.
The product is easy to apply and smoothes into the skin without leaving stickiness. I have tried more expensive products which have been either too runny or too sticky, and have had too much of a perfumey ...

First of all let me tell you how it was that i first ever came across palmers cocoa butter, i was standing in a queue at boots when i smelt the most wonderful fragrance coming from the lady standing in front of me so after a while i plucked up the courage to ask her what her perfume was to my shock she told me that she wasn't wearing any perfume and that it was in fact her moisturiser which was palmers cocoa butter. I thanked her and left the queue ... ...to buy some of this wonderful smelling cream for myself. I was shocked when i discovered just how inexpensive it was (here are some of the product prices---250ml bottle of body lotion £3.19, 100g jar of cream £3.19, 100g bottle of body gloss £4.19 and 250ml bottle of stretch mark cream £4.99---prices are from boots and may vary from different stores) Now let me tell you what i thought about the body lotion which is what i brought, this product comes ...

Palmers Cocoa Butter All Over Body Moisturiser has to be one the the most lovely products i have ever bought for my body. My sister had a tub of this product and being curious i tried it out, as all younger sisters tend to do!
This product is advertised as a body moisturiser. It is excellent for applying to dry or chapped skin. It also softens hard skin, including the feet. It also is excellent for blending out uneven marks on the skin such as scarring ... ...of forms. I bought a tub from boots 6 months ago and im only just coming to the end so its a long lasting product. It cost approx £2. In comparison to other body moisturisers this is very very good. I generally use it in the evenings before i go to bed and occasionally after a bath. It comes in a solid form and you use the natural warmth of your fingers to melt it onto your skin. Apply where needed. I have used this to apply to the heels of my feet ...
