Advantages Advantages Easier to put on while toddler stands

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, not as absorbent, smaller pack sizes.

I like to think of myself as something of a nappy expert. I have three sons, and I've changed literally THOUSANDS of sh*tty bums. I'm normally a reuseable addict, but my washing machine has finally decided to give up, so we have been using disposables again. But Nanny bought these for baby Zak. Now Zak could do with a review all of his own (and it'd be titled something like "Use Condoms", but thats another story) as there isn't a blasted thing he can't reach/break/eat/pass through his digestive system seemingly unharmed. Its true what they say, when baby No1 swallows a penny you panic and head ... more

Advantages Advantages made my daughter feel more grown up

Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive and still like a nappy

My eldest was potty trained during the day before she was two and at night about a month after she was two. I had refused to get drawn into using pull ups or easy ups (not sure what they were called then). I thought that they would feel like nappies so it would confuse her so I stayed away from them and potty training was quite simple, in fact it was easy! My youngest was different there was no way she was ready to get rid of the nappies before she was two. As I was increasing my hours at work at the end of September I wanted her potty trained for nursery - not that it would be a problem for ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages more expensive than normal nappies

Pampers is a baby/toddler brand offering nappies, pull ups and wipes in various types to suit the need of parents and their budgets. *Product* Pampers Easy Up pants are the next stage up from normal nappies. These are designed to give children a bit more independance and unless the child has done a poo, these can be removed by sliding off like normal pants. Perfect for potty training stages. The Easy Up Pants come with an extra dry area to prevent leaks. The sides are stretchy to allow your child to freely move and as well as being pulled down, you can also tear the sides with ease and remove ... more

My little girl did really well at potty training. She mastered it at about two and a half and during the day she was brilliant. When it came to nighttime though, at that point, she wasn't quite ready to go through the night without a nappy as every morning she was still really quite wet. I didn't want to put a regular nappy on her though as I thought that would confuse her and make her think she wasn't quite potty trained so we bought her these pampers easy up nappies for night time. What I like about them is that they are just like knickers but with a bit of padding, ok, they look quite like ... more

    Advantages Advantages Encourages potty training

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not for "normal" nappy use

Having used Pampers through-out my toddlers life. Although I did have a short span of using Huggies but they leaked. I made the switch from pampers active fit to using Pampers easy up pants about 6 months before my son was ready for starting potty training. The reason for this is that I thought they would be easy to get off and on him. While they are easy to pull up and down as their name suggests, one thing I hadn't thought of is unlike nappies where you can slide down trousers and do a quick nappy change and away you go. With the easy up pants the trousers have to come off as with shoes and ... more

Advantages Advantages Easier than trying to change a toddler on their back, helps with potty training, absorbent

Disadvantages Disadvantages More expensive than regular nappies, have to take trousers and shoes off to change pants

Pampers Easy Up Pants are nappies which you pull up like pants or knickers. You put the pants on when your child is standing up by putting their feet into the leg holes and pulling them up into place. The pants have a tearable side structure which is thin and stretchy - you can remove the pants by ripping the sides or sliding them back down the legs. They are so much easier and convenient to put on than regular nappies - the Easy Up Pants are designed for toddlers and everybody knows how much toddlers hate laying down and having their nappy changed. These little creations are perfect for ... more

Advantages Advantages worked for my daughter

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be confusing for children

As we were potty training our daughter, I always said I was never going to buy pull up pants as I thought they defeated the object of training children if they still had some kind of nappy on. A few months later, they are a regular in my house, but not for the reason you may think. Our daughter is fully potty trained through the day, but there is no way she is ready to be nappy less at night time yet. When my last pack of nappies were coming to an end, I wondered what we would do, as I didn’t really want to buy more if we were to encourage her to get up for a wee in the night if she needed to ... more

I would say that over the year's i have tried every brand of nappy there is from the shop's own brand to the more lavish of posh nappies and by lavish and posh i mean pampers the only posh nappy i would allow my children to do there poopy's in. Like every brand of nappies pampers have evolved over the years i remember when my first daughter was born and pampers were still using those nasty bit's of sticky tape to do up there nappie's, would they stay done up not in a million year's especially if you happened to have a little grease on your hands for whatever reason they were even worse. But we ... more

5 Stars Nappies through the ages Review with images 22/08/2005
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages great for potty training

Disadvantages Disadvantages less supplied in a pack than normal pampers

Nowadays it is highly unlikely that anyone would consider using terry nappies as the price of disposables comes down and the quality improves all the time. 16 years ago my eldest daughter was born and I toyed with the idea of terries until someone gave me a pack of Pampers as a coming home present when I left the hospital. I never looked back. At that time the image was girls and boys nappies - a good idea where they were more padded where needed. Nothing much had changed when my 2nd daughter was born 3 years later and I carried on using Pampers as I had tried many others and nothing compared ... more

When my son started to refuse to lay down to have his nappy change, both he and I were getting upset and frustrated at having to wrestle all the time. I decided to give nappy pants a try, as I would be able to change him standing up, so now I can give a full review of the nappies in question! I have used Pampers for my son ever since he was born, so of course I decided to continue with Pampers and try their Easy Up Pants range. These are readily available in most supermarkets and chemists and are stocked alongside the normal nappies. The one major difference I have noticed with the Easy Ups is ... more
