Advantages Advantages wipes the bum cleaner ans surer than the dry toilet paper

Disadvantages Disadvantages horrendously expensive, unnecessarily perfumed

Kandoo Toilet Wipes claim to be ‘your little one’s first toilet tissue’ …. or something to that effect. That was a put-off, as I don’t like niche products much. A machine for cutting rose shapes out of radishes, a saloon for cutting hair of married women aged 30 to 50 of Armenian extraction, shoes that are good just for getting in and out of the car in - these are all things that I view with a great suspicion. However, Katie is growing, she is toilet trained as far as the act itself goes; but she still needs help in the final (read: bum wiping) stages. So, I am thinking of ways to teach her to ... more

Advantages Advantages clean well, soft, fun dispenser, encourage independance, flushable

Disadvantages Disadvantages the smell of the wipes, cost

KanDoo Once my little brother was potty trained we wanted to try and encourage him to use the 'big toilet' as much as possible to make it easier for us (no emptying potties or carrying them around with us!) and also to encourage him to become more independent. All the time he was in nappies or using the potty we used pampers baby wipes to clean his bottom but as these cant be flushed down the toilet it meant we had to find an alternative. We saw the catchy adverts on TV for Kandoo wipes and they seemed ideal, especially as they were made by pampers which is a brand we had always found to have ... more

Advantages Advantages Creates independence with little mess

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit pricey

I like to try new things... I also like to try new ideas... So when Pampers brought out new KanDoo wipes for children at toilet time I thought I would give them a go – well I thought I would ask my little 3-year-old, Charlie, to give them a go. Now Charlie is totally toilet trained as you would expect from most 3-year-olds but when it came to the “big” toilet he didn’t really like getting his hands dirty so to speak. I realised that what with him starting nursery – he wouldn’t always have someone around to help him out as it were. He always used regular toilet tissue but would always end up ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy for children to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be expensive

My youngest was a nightmare to toilet train. You see he suffers from second child syndrome. He learnt at an early age that he could get everyone to do everything for him! And toilet training was no different, when he did start finally going to the loo on his own he refused to wipe his own bottom and would call us to do it. We tried all sorts of tricks including bribery but he was and still is very stubborn, and then the other half came home with these. They state that they help little ones independence and give them a sense of achievement. PACKAGING ------------------- This was part of the ... more

Advantages Advantages pleasant smelling, bright packaging for kids, catchy tv advert

    Disadvantages Disadvantages can be expensive

I am a sucker for new gadgets and gizmos and when I first saw the tv advert for kandoo my daughter was so mesmerised that I decided that I would give them a go. Don't get me wrong - she can go to the loo all by herself but occasionally gets very lazy and there is nothing worse when you have just sat down with a nice cuppa when you get the shout - "mum - come and wipe my bum". Off we set up the local high street - first stop our local 'Bodycare' shop (this is a great shop for all your brand name toiletries at great prices). There my little one takes off down the shop and lifts her little purple ... more

Advantages Advantages Box is well designed and serves purpose.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Wipes stink, dry out and are too flimsy. Horrendously expensive.

Kandoo toilet wipes are such a gimmick. From the moment the annoying advert with annoying child claiming, "I can do it too with Kandoo" arrived onto our screens I refused to give into the cutesy irritating frog and its hype. However, when a website offers you a freebie only a fool would say no and contrary to popular belief I am no fool so we received free wipes with dispenser and decided to let our two year old give them a go. Now the moment my daughter saw the predominantly purple box with lime green lid she was immediately sold. Add to this the annoyingly cute green frog emblazoned across ... more

Advantages Advantages Work Well, Smell Nice

Disadvantages Disadvantages RRP is too much

Kandoo Children's Toilet Wipes Kandoo Children's Wipes are made by Pampers but are different to Pampers baby wipes because they are aimed at toddlers and small children. I paid £1 for a packet of these wipes from Poundland although they can pretty much be purchased at any supermarket or local Boots etc. for the RRP of £1.95 pence per packet. The packaging of the wipes is rather good and very eye catching as they have used a bright green and deep purple colour scheme for the pack and used a strange little frog to represent the brand. The adverts of telly are quite good and draw the kids into ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Toilet training is a big step for any child and obviously some take to it quicker than others. Most people start off encouraging their little ones to use a potty before moving on to the big toilet! Once my daughter was trained using the potty she was very happy to use this although for some reason she was quite reluctant to then move on to using the toilet, especially at home. I had seen Kandoo wipes in quite a number of her small friends' houses and she was always very happy to use the toilet in those places, so I thought it would be worth buying some to use at home and to make a special fuss ... more

Advantages Advantages Kids will love them

Disadvantages Disadvantages Your wallet will hate them

I am the first to admit that I am an advertiser's dream! No, I'm not some gorgeous model. I am a self-confessed mug for new gimics. A few years ago when Pledge brought out a wash for wooden floors I bought it-and I didn't have wooden floors at the time. I was suckered by the advertising. Okay, I'm not so bad now but when Pampers recently brought out their new KanDoo wipes, I was first in the queue to pick some up. To be honest, I did have a valid reason for buying them. My four year old is a typical male. He takes a book into the bathroom when he needs to go and can spend up to 20 minutes ... more

Advantages Advantages Great encouragement to be independent, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages price, and could block the loo

Our kids have been using these wipes for several years between them, they have been extremely useful in them becoming independent when using the toilet. The refillable dispenser box is very friendly to young hands, with it's soft plastic and big push-button to pop the lid open. The wipes dispense easily one at a time, with the next one popping up after it. Despite one of our daughters having sensitive skin and eczema, there's never been any problem for either of them using the normal, non-sensitive variety, although I should say that they have always used the wipes AFTER, not instead of paper ... more
