Advantages Advantages Sepcially designed for new babies, good fit, soft, flexible

Disadvantages Disadvantages more expensive than ordinary Pampers

If you've read my review of Motherease reusable nappies you'll know that I switched to re-usables when my son was about three months old. But to start with we used these Pampers New Baby, and though the cost a penny or two more than the equivalent size in Baby Dry, they are specially designed for little babies and I really found the extra was worth paying. Why? Well to start with they are really easy to fit - they have lovely stretchy legs and feel soft. With the delicate skin of a new born that's excellent - they don't leave any red marks yet they are effective at preventing leaks. The tapes ... more

Advantages Advantages soft, holds a lot, readily available

    Disadvantages Disadvantages leak!

Ask anyone to name a nappy brand and they'll probably say Pampers. They are one of the most well known brands on the market but are they actually as good as they claim to be? Whenever you see adverts made by Pampers they always rave about how comfortable they are and how well they fit and are leak proof but I don't think that this is entirely true. Pampers New Baby are the smallest sized nappy Pampers make which are readily available. They are for babies sized 4-11lbs but I would dispute that! My baby was 6lb when born and the nappy completely covered her, it was so big it had to be folded in ... more

Advantages Advantages Keep everything in & dont rub babys legs

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Being a new mum I didn't have a clue where to start when it came to buying nappies etc, the only reason I purchased these nappies was because boots had a offer where if you purchased a pack of these you got a free changing bag. I am now very pleased that I had purchased these nappies, I find them very easy to put on my baby (even when she is wriggling around), they are very soft and don't leave red makes around my baby legs (unlike other brands I have tried). These nappies also keep everything in, I have had quite a few what I call exploding nappies now & not a bit of it has got on her clothes ... more

Advantages Advantages Leak, look uncomfortable, expensive.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Absorb runny poo!

I used these nampers on both of my boys. My eldest boy is now 5, and being my first baby I went out and bought these ready for my arrival, thinking you pay for what you get and these were the best nappies around. I remember these leaking wee, I would pick him up out of his moses basket and he would have a wee patch which had leaked through his clothes. They do however absorb runny breastfed baby poo quite well. I now have a 9 month old son and was bought these by my mother in law before he was born. I did remember them leaking the time before but thought they may have been improved. But no ... more

Advantages Advantages Sleek , leak proof , stretchy , comfortable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Useless indicator strip - though it works is not nessesary

Of all the nappies I've tried ( and thats a fair few) these have to be the best by far. Everything about them is great. They may be a little pricier than shop brands but worth every penny! Firstly they come in a compact packet very nicely packaged and are easy to store. They have an indicator strip which turns green when getting rather full as well. Though in my opinion this is slightly silly as we all know when baby's wet and needs a change. So I think this is just a gimic. The nappy itself is sleek and not bulky and provides plenty of stretch at the sides without causing leaks. These stay up ... more

    Advantages Advantages stays fastenend

    Disadvantages Disadvantages leaked and dampness

I'm a mum of 3 girls so have used a lot of nappies in recent years. I have previously always preferred pampers nappies until I started using them again this month on my new baby. I have had to change her every hour to hour and a half as the nappies feel really wet, also they seem to hang down really low on her legs and mark them. The only thing that is good about them is that it stay fastenend as you can overlap the fastners and the sides are really stretchy. I decided I would try a few other brands and see how I got on with them and I could not believe the difference between pampers and another ... more

I thought that being a brand name like Pampers, the leading baby accessory maker, that these would be really good. Wrong! I had these and Huggies New born to try. I used the Pampers for a couple of weeks and found that they did not fit around the legs very snug. Her poo came out the sides and around the legs, poor little thing! It was very frustrating to keep changing a newborns clothes, especially as she hates it, so often. Although maybe slightly cheaper than the Huggies, they were so disappointing. Even the supermarkets own nappies (which were half the price) were superior to these. Maybe ... more

Advantages Advantages Absorbent, great value, no leaks

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I purchased these nappies when my daughter was born early at 35 weeks. I found this to be the best fiiting nappy I had found, a comfortable fit and very absorbent. I continued to use this product until my daughter moved on to the larger size. I was delighted with this product and remain using pampers. I think its so important when you have a new baby, especially your first that you have products that you are happy with and can reply on. This is what I found from Pampers. I also find that there are special offers on in a lot of local Supermarkets making this product even better value for money ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not leak proof & always sag.

When my baby was first born. I bought the Pampers make of newborn nappies as these were a well known brand so I thought these would be great. They are very expensive for what they are as you only get 28 in a pack which you could easily use up in a few days and for £4.82 a pack its extremely over priced in my opinion! I found these nappies leaked very very quickly and for a newborn, this isnt what you want as you already change nappies around 8 times a day! They sagg really quickly within 1 hour of putting the nappy on and when my baby woke up in the morning, guranteed every morning it had ... more

Advantages Advantages better from other brands once a few weeks old

Disadvantages Disadvantages lining not great when first born or if early

I used these for my little boy when he was first born but quickly changed. He was born early at 35 weeks, healthy and a good weight but we found that the lining in these was a bit of a nightmare if he had a poo. It was a gauze like lining with small holes which helped to absorb his very soft leavings quickly but then made it difficult to change him as the lining would stick to his bum and he became sore very quickly. We did find that they were great as he got bigger so i would recommend them once your baby is a few weeks old but no sooner. Pampers so a very trusted name and we didnt find them ... more
