Advantages: soothing, do the job Disadvantages: none
Everyone who has a baby relies on baby wipes. You find yourself using them constantly and not just for when it's nappy changing time but for cleaning your baby's face when it's smeared with baby food which always goes everywhere or so it seems, for wiping sticky fingers and I even use mine for wiping down her toys and the highchair tray and kitchen sides.
I go through hundreds of wipes every week as they're so useful but I have found that there ... ...go for. I have tried Pamper's simply dry and i found them far too dry, they didn't do the job properly as I felt I had to apply a lot of pressure on my baby's skin to clean it so it made her uncomfortable. I have tried Huggie's with aloe vera and although these were very kind to the skin they were too moist! They left my baby's skin so damp I was worried she would get chapped skin!
Eventually I came across Pamper's sensitive which I was actually ...

...recently sent a pack of Pampers Sensitive Baby wipes for testing from one of my survey sites and as these are available to buy in the shops I thought I would do a review on them.
My usual brand is Johnsons and have always got on very well with them but if something is free I will definately use them.

Advantages: good quality and size Disadvantages: On the higher price level
...It is also specified that Pampers Sensitive Wipes are designed with a touch of lotion and milk essentials and help restore the natural balance of your baby's skin. They come in packs of sixty three wipes and for an average price of around £2.39 (as of February 2009). *My verdict* These wipes do exactly as described. A thorough wipe can be made with one wipe due to their generous size and moistness. When using these, I can feel the softness on my ... ...Each wipe is soft but strong and has a pleasant and clean smell to it. The packet feels soft and squishy to touch which shows the softness and the moistness inside. Although the packet has no fancy resealable lid on it, the adhesive opening lasts long enough to open and reseal for the life of the packet of wipes. Although my son has sensitive skin, these wipes are soft and gentle on his face and bottom. They leave no red marks and only a wipe is ...

Advantages: Nice thickness, not too wet, packaging works well, easy and convenient. Cleans well. Disadvantages: none found to date.
...come back to buying either Pampers or Johnsons. Although more expensive, and often containing less wipes per packet, I believe the better quality is worth paying for. Pampers Sensitive Wipes with Aloe and Chamomile are perfume free. They do have a slight smell to them - but it's a clean smell, non offensive. They have been dermatologically tested and the packet states that they restore natural skin balance up to 2x better than water. Each packet ... ...1 get 1 free or 3 for 2 offers and then stock up. I find that the wipes are easy to get out of the packet - this is a major bugbear of mine (yes I live a sad life, I know!), but I have found that some of the cheaper wipes do not come out of the packet well and you end up struggling trying to juggle a wriggling baby with a dirty bum in the air whilst wrestling to get a wipe out. (Yes I know, the organised amongst us get the wipes out first, so you ...

Advantages: Great at wiping faces Disadvantages: doesn't smell great
We first bought the wipes in a supermarket, there was a big box with about 12 packets inside and it worked out cheaper than the usual wipes we get. We opened up the first packet and noticed that they were a bit softer than what we normally got, but still had that bit of texture to be great at cleaning off the dried on bit of rusk that you find an hour after you think you have got it all off!!

They seal back up too so that they dont dry out which is a bonus, I hate it when they don't sticl back down and you end up having to throw the top wipe away!
They are available from supermarkets and chemists for approximately £1.50 depending upon offers at the time ...

Advantages: just moist enough, thick Disadvantages: on the expensive side
I tend to buy pampers wipes because they are on the thick side, are wet enough that you don't need to use hundreds, and seem to be 'kind' to the skin. I think on average they cost around £1.77 for 64 wipes, but they are also usually on offer in either boots, asda's, or tesco's, so its definatly worth shopping around for them. I think i bought 9 packs for £7 in asda's during the baby event so they worked out alot cheaper than even own branded ones. ... ...are too wet, i think pampers has this one wrapped up well. They also have a box which comes in useful when at home, i got mine free with a re-fill pack when they were on offer a while ago and it just makes the place look that much nicer. Definatly a baby must have and worth those extra few pennies. ...

I love these wipes, they feel really nice and are not to wet. They come out of the packaging nice and easy, unlike some other brands. I also like the feel of the cloth which is used, its nice and soft to touch and not to thick .

...different brands but settled on Pampers Sensitive. My eldest child had eczema and everything seemed to irritate her except the Pampers Sensitive. With my 2 younger children I did not even have to think about which wipes I would use, I stocked up on Pampers Sensitive. The wipes are strong and moist but not too wet.
