Advantages: Will not leak in your bag Disadvantages: Dry out easily and not cheap.
...such a bind so when Pampers brought out these Sunnies wipes I was delighted.
~~~~What are they?~~~~
Pampers Sunnies wipes are wipes impregnated with Sun Lotion. They are SPF 30. This is not the highest, but nor the lowest. It is probably suitable for cooler days or spring Days but I think children really need a higher factor especially in Mid Summer or when abroad. Because they are wipes they are extremely flexible and can get in all the creases, ... ...~~~~Cost and availability~~~~
Advantages: Makes applying suncream possible! Disadvantages: Expensive
My daughter sees any attempt to restrain her as an infringement on her civil liberties. At 14 months, dressing her had better be quick or she will put in a call to the European parliament-Ok, maybe not but she will scream and kick until she can carry on with the important business of balancing precariously on tables, putting saucepans in the washing machine and trying her hardest to find non food items to eat.
Like most toddlers, she is an adventurer. ... ...sure she was well covered up or in the shade. This year, she wants to go out in the garden first thing in the morning and run around outside all day long. Trying to find shady play areas is nearly impossible, so she really needs sun protection.
I had tried her with regular sun creams but she would often hit my hand away, sending lumps of flying cream in any direction, or would turn her head just at the moment I was putting a blob on her nose and ...
Advantages: easy to apply, no bottles that leak, quick and easy Disadvantages: your hands turn white, they are expensive and can tend to dry out
...is a godsend, but the pampers website advises reapplication after swimming.
Ok so what are the drawbacks? first of all they do tend to be expensive, so you really do need to shop around for offers which takes time, time which busy mothers don't seem to have. I tend to need 2/3 wipes to cover my 22 month old for each application, and i reapply every 3 hours or so and every time after he's been in the sea. This means if i go down the beach for the ... ...pack
The plastic box which comes with the starter pack is quite flimsy and was cracked within 2 weeks, and the sticker tab on the plastic refill pack tends not stick down too well once you've opened the pack a few times. Never mind getting full of sand too! This leads to the wipes drying out, so i often end up throwing away the top wipes as they have dried out. So they are wasted. I have since found a Tupperware that contains the wipes quite nicely ...
Advantages: Easy to apply. Convenient Disadvantages: Expensive
...THE PRODUCT
******************
I discovered Pampers Sunnies is our local Wilkinsons store. Sunnies are wipes which are impregnated with sun screen. They come in bright yellow packaging of the same style as a pack of baby wipes. Each pack contains 30 wipes which is equivalent to 110 ml of suntan lotion. The lotion has a SFP factor of 30, offers UVA and UVB protection and is also water resistant. The wipes also contain Vitamin E and Provitamin B5 ... ...The wipes are very easy to store and fit easily into a handbag (and my daughters school reading folder). They are much more portable and convenient than a bottle of sun cream.
USE
*****
One wipe contained enough suncream to cover my daughters arms, legs and face. She found the wipes incredibly easy and fast to apply, with no mess. The wipes do leave a slight white colour on the skin which is helpful to show where to apply, this soaks into the ...
Advantages: Practical, convenient, high SPF, no sticky sand!!! Disadvantages: Have I used enough?!
...managed to pick up the Pampers Sunnies on a (fairly) special offer from Boots for 6pounds (yes they are pricey). However the said special offer included a free dispenser box which really did do the job, ie keeping the wipes dry.
The idea is basically the same as your regular baby wipes but these sun wipes are drenched in a safe and sound SPF30 sun cream which you basically wipe over your baby's exposed bits (and non exposed if you are not using ... ...last inch. With the Pampers Sunnies it was a bit more hit and miss which is not ideal.
However all in all it is such a good idea that I have to believe they are a great innovative product, so handy as there are no sun cream leakages in your best beach bag, nor cross babies as you accidentally smear another bit of cream in thier eye! ...
What an excellent idea from pampers, sunnies are wipes which somewhat resemble baby wipes howeverthey provide an spf of 30!! which is great when you child or baby is fair like mine they protect against uva & uvb.
I would say these wipes are ideal for a nice sunny day at home, because whilst you are dressing your little one, it's really quick and easy to literally wipe them all over with these sunnines and you know they have then got maximum protection.
... ...much prefer a dry oil spray, because we found that as soon as you took them near the beach you got sand in them and then our baby wouldn't let us use them because i imagine it felt like we were rubbing sand paper on him!!
Another thing with sunnies is they are very expensive costing me £6.99 for only a few wipes where as a bottle of dry oil of the same protection factor would probably cost similar amount but would go alot further with protection ...
Yes i know it's out of season to write about this now, but it will be for all those lucky ones who's going on a winter break in the sunshine, or even better remember it for next year.
Now as i worked as a nanny for two years i wanted a suncream that was suitable for both the children i was looking after (as one of them had sensitive skin) i also wanted one that was easy to pack in a bag and that wasn't too bulky, i also wanted one that had a high ... ...across these wipes, which at first i coulden't believe they would make a suncream in a wipe, whatever next!! It was everything i was looking for except they were a bit pricey.
These wipes come in packs of 30 at a hefty price of £5.99(but there worth it) they have a spf of 30 and they protect against uva and uvb rays. They come in an easy to apply wipe, one wipe covered one child head to toe in suncream with some left over to do the next, it is also ...
Pampers 'Sunnies' UV wipes, with a sun protection factor of 30. They are water resistant. They are a great way of protecting babies delicate skin, and have all the usual UV-A and UV-B sun filters to protect from sunburn.
They are cotton-like wipes, very similar to pampers baby wipes, but offer different type of protection!!
They are good for getting an even cover on your baby, and in my opinion are a lot easier than suncreams which are in a tube, ... ...and so enviably smooth!
Pampers recommend that you apply them about 20 minutes before you expose baby to the sunshine, then to reapply as needed. Also, don't forget to make them wear a hat (if they will keep one on...easier said than done!!)
There are 30 wipes in a pack. The pack is re-sealable to keep them clean and fresh, they are very easy to pull out one handed, and individually. They feel quite wet to the touch, and the white cream in them ...
Advantages: So easy to use, not messy!! Disadvantages: make sure they don't dry out.
Firstly let me explain what sunnies are. They look like baby wipes, and yep they are. Hower these wipes are to be used on baby's skin before exposing them to sunshine. They have an spf of 30. What a great idea! No more carrying heavy bottles of sunscreen around. No more dripping suncream all over clothes!
I do admit I bought these when they were on a very good offer price. That's what made me try them in the first place, and not the fact they were ... ...I would buy them again. Extreemly light to carry about in a change bag. So easy to apply to a baby's skin. I have lost count ot the times I have dripped suncream all over clothing and had trouble keeping my kids still long enough to rub it in properly. And how frustrating is it when the pump spray suncreams become blocked with sand at the beach and you have to unscrew the whole lid to pour the cream out?! The only thing I do watch out for is that ...
Yes thats right, these are WIPES which contain water resistant sun tan lotion.
As you have guessed from the manufacturer's name 'Pampers', they are primarily made for babies and small children.
The bright yellow packaging is similar to a pack of wipes used to wipe babies bottoms. It contains 30 wipes which, according to the packet is equivalent to 110ml of suntan lotion.
They contain lotion which has a 30 SPF with both UVA and UvB Protection. ... ...who are just to busy to have sun tan lotion applied to their little bodies. The wipes contain vitamin E and Provitamin B5 which is kind to their skin.
As the lotion is within the wipe, it is easy and fast to apply with little mess. Once the white colour has disappeared you know the child has full coverage. The ideal waiting time for the water resistance to take effect is 20 minutes. In my experience 2 - 3 wipes is enough for each application which ...
Advantages: come as a wipe rather than a cream Disadvantages: dont last as long as a tube or spray lotion
At last1. I'd come across this amazing little product as i was looking for another baby product in boots. Umm! I thought i'll give them a go. And so I did.
In my 3 yrs experience as a mummy I knew only too well of the absolute danger that the sun can do to my babies skin. As ever paranoid I was always looking for something to protect my little girl from those harmful rays, and at last id found it.
Since that day I have never looked back, indeed ... ...to this product.
The product itself comes in a pack, like a nappy wipe pack. And is a wipe just like a nappy wipe! Its as simple as that.
The wipes themselves are impregnated with the sun lotion, generously too. As you wipe onto babies skin you can actually see the lotion going onto skin which is good as then you know where you have done. The lotion soaked wipe (just 1) covered the entire top half of my little girl. So with just 2 wipes she was ...
These are very easy to use. Just simply take out of the packet and wipe onto the child. The wipes are just like a baby wipe and as you wipe them on the sunscreen goes into the childs skin. They have a pleasant smell to them aswell. You can buy them with a handy travel case that fits easily into a bag and then you can just simply buy the cheaper refills to pop back into it when needed. Price wise they are about average really for what you are buying. ...
