I have a confession to make, this is not the ramblings of a camera geek. Rather, I am someone who enjoys taking pictures and wanted to buy a high quality product so that I could learn and experiment more with digital photography. a fantastic purchase! I bought this camera as a cheaper alternative to an SLR and was very pleasantly surprised. The lens and anti-shake feature was excellent and tested thoroughly on an african safari. My shots were excellent and the 12x zoom paid for itself with the wonderful close-ups I got of the animals. The anti-shake mechanism is great, especially when using the lens' full zoom capacity. Pictures are sharp and clear with great colour. I recieved this Camera for Christmas purchased from Amazon for £238 including delivery, I also purchased a 1GB SD card as the 16 mb card included would only take 8 photos. Make sure you do the same as a card that size can take 409 photos which is plenty enough. On arrival the box included lots of instruction manuals for almost everything, the noly one you really need is the main camera one unless you are unsure how to link your camera to your PC or want to make you of the extended lense which cuts out light for outside use but also makes the lense look stupidly long and not as practical as it ... more
