Advantages Advantages Good picture quality. Easy to navigate and manage disks

Disadvantages Disadvantages Dearer than tape. Only so-so instruction book

Please Note: This machine is a DVD Recorder, not just a DVD Player as listed by Ciao. A while back, you’d never have convinced me that a home DVD recorder would become a practical replacement for the humble VCR. Since then two ... more

Advantages Advantages Watch a film/program while still recording

Disadvantages Disadvantages No hard drive, has been replaced by the e55

My first impressions of this recorder were that it was a great piece of equipment. However, I soon realised its limitations. ******************** In the box ******************** In the box you get the DVD recorder, power cable, set of AV cables and a single DVD-RAM disc (without caddy). Along with this you get a very poorly written instruction manual. ****************** Setting Up ****************** This is simplicity itself, its just like connecting a VCR. I have a video sender and VCR connected to mine. Then output to the tv. **************************** So how well does it work ... more

Advantages Advantages Can recording your fav TV programmes

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Difficult to operate

The only problem is, is that it isn't easy to use. Even as a fairly competent techie I at times found it difficult to operate. Bless my dad ... more
