    After moving into my new house I was left DVD playerless! However my parents happened to have this spare one from my dads personal stash of junk that he keeps (its an old DVD player of theirs) and gave me this to go with my TV in my house!     I purchased this DVD player after reading many reviews and checking out it size etc, in a electrical store. I was very impressed with what I saw, the sleak, slim and stylish design finished in silver looks great in any modern styled household. I was looking at DVD players for under £100, the names that continually came up were Alba, Ventura and other such budget brands, but to my surprise the first well known brand to come up was Panasonic comin in at aprox. £75!     Disadvantages Disadvantages Did not come with a scart to scart cable

    Since receiving this DVD player as a Christmas present can find nothing bad to say about its performance. Having previously used a Playstation 2 as a DVD player this was a breath of fresh air. When it was bought for us it cost £100, but I've since seen it in highsteet shops for £80 and on the web for even less. We bought several DVDs that would not play on the Playstation but every one plays on Panasonic perfectly. Another bug bear I had with the Playstation was that dialogue was very quiet compared to music and sound effects. This caused us to have to keep turning the volume up and down ... more
