Advantages: Bluetooth, Nice looking interface, Small and lightweight Disadvantages: Slow for writing texts, Games included are not very good, Camera takes low quality pictures
Recently, my phone was stolen but I managed to get a new one (this one) by claiming off my home insurance. It is the newer model of my stolen phone. I was expecting great things from my new phone, loads of extra features, an easier to use interface and text messaging that doesn't take you ages to write a simple text. Was I content with my new phone? Yes and no, read on. The Interface ------------------ Well, there is a vast improvement on the graphical ... ...on the eye graphics such as 3D icons and better resolution gives a clearer screen and makes using your mobile so much more fun. But graphics aren't everything. It is quite hard to find some of the features available on your phone, such as if you want to change your ringtone for example, without looking at its location in the manual it can take you some time to locate what you are looking for. If you ask me, all phones are like that, there should ...

Advantages: Good quality photos Disadvantages: Gets scratched easily
I first chose this phone because of it's MMS feature - I was off to France for my brother's wedding, needed a new phone and my camera was broken so it made sense!
It's a great size, conventiently fits in most bag pockets, leaving space for other vitals.
The battery is so flat and compact that some of my friends didn't believe that it was actually a phone battery at all! It's not hard to remove/put back, like some are.
The sim card is easy to insert/remove ... ...can think of is the fact that this phone gets scratched rather too easily. I've only had mine for 7 or 8 months and the paint-work is chipping off, the body-work has chips in and denting it is very easy to do.
The silver paint on the menu navigation key has been worn away so as it looks black, but that may be something to do with my nails as opposed to anything else!
At first it was rather confusing to 'find my way' around the menu but, once figured ...

Advantages: Excellent camera, Lots of memory space Disadvantages: Breaks down - Switches itself on and off whenever it feels like, one game if you're not on orange
...me this phone - the panasonic gd87. All was well for 6 months, but then the trouble started and I could tell phone 6 would soon be on its way(my new Motorola V220). Ease of use
=========
Very easy to use. No need for a instruction booklet. I find the best way to learn how to use a new phone is to experiment and play around. I feel you can get to grips much easier. It took me less than a day to learn how to use the gd87 to its full potential.
Look ... ...it has a very smooth feel, and looks sleek and stylish. On the front there is a small lcd display with the time, battery, and reception quality. There is also a small mirror and button so that the more vain of us can take self portraits of ourselves when the phone is closed. The phone is quite a bit bigger than normal flip phone and when open is practically flat (not at an angle like most other phones).
The small lcd screen on the front can also ...

Advantages: screen display, good picture quality, tough and durable clamshell design Disadvantages: sometimes awkward with the navigation key, not Java enabled
I have had my Panasonic GD87 mobile for a couple of months now. I got it primarily for the camera which is built in. The picture quality is fantastic and has the largest number of colours on the display screen amongst other phones of its price range (65000 colours insteard of the usual 60000 but where you get 65000 colours from I do not know!!!).
The edit features for the photos is good, as you can set them to Black-and-White, Sepia and Monochrome. ... ...it and the quality of the picture can be altered for better clarity.
It is a very sturdy and robust phone (I have dropped it a few times and it just seems to bounce. All it has sustained are a couple of tiny flesh wounds). The clamshell design is tough and durable, with a reassuring click when you open it. I find the clamshell best because it stops you accidently pressing the keys or ringing the police when it's in your pocket! It also has a display ...

Advantages: Great picture quality and looks great. Disadvantages: Hard to use to begin with
...can download them from the panasonic website, but they cost about £1.50. There's only one game on this phone and unfortunately you can't donwload any because the phone doesn't support Java. The game is called "Herding Sheep". It's very funny. You're a sheep dog and you have to herd the sheep into the pen. You bark at them to get them to move in the right direction. The funniest thing about the game is that if you bark too much at the rams then they ... ...do, but it's impresssive either way.
It's a sexy silver flip phone with amazingly impressive features. The Panasonic GD87 is very impressive and i definately recommend it. You may have difficulty with it to begin with but once you get going you won't be able to part with it. ...

Advantages: good size, excellent build, great camera Disadvantages: sms features are poor, phonebook management is archaic
...Samsung, Sharp, NEC etc. the Panasonic gd87 seemed to offer me what I wanted - Great Build, Great screensize, Great Camera, and good software. Plus, all my walkmans had been panasonics (as was my car stereo) so you could say I was a bit of a Brand Freak.
So lets get the opinion going:
Design: Standard clamshell fare, though the aerial has me wondering if it could have been hidden away somewhere. The Battery clip is visible, so there is a potential ... ...and wouldn't bet on it doing so. The Exterior lcd screen is nicely placed, if a bit too small. The Callers name/number doesn't scroll when it flashes up, but thats a minor point.
Build: Absolutely spot on. The hinge clicks like it will last forever (like a VW car door ;) The buttons seem like they are built to last too, and the screen can take a few good knocks without issue. Beats Nokia hands down imho.

Advantages: Camera, Nice looks, Easy to use Disadvantages: Slow text messaging, Lack of extra volume, Games
I upgraded last month from the Nokia 3510i to the sleek GD87. My main reason for the purchase was the integrated camera and good looks. Looking back, my first experience with the phone was painless - it was so easy to navigate as the phone uses a graphical interface. It feels light and although quite long (due to the display) isn’t too much of a downside.
Call quality is very good and has four volume settings. Sometimes you need an extra setting ... ...can sometimes be hard to hear. On the opposite side if you are in an office, the phone offers a handsfree speakerphone – again not the loudest but adequate and a nice touch.
If you’re a text maniac, then this would be important to you… Sending text’s from the phone can be quite slow (dependent on how fast you can type!). I have to pause when typing to allow the phone to catch up! It’s not too much of a pain, but if you need to send an urgent text, ...

Advantages: Mobile web, camera and phone Disadvantages: No Bluetooth
I travel so I need a phone that will work in Europe, Asia, UK and the USA. This works everywhere.
The only thing i didn't like about it when I bought it was that it didnt have bluetooth. (I wanted a phone that i could use as a mobile with my laptop)... I looked at Hutch 3, but their phones didn't have the modem feature activated for a few months.
This was by far the best camera phone and so simple to use... so i bought it and set up the mobile ... ...can just click on messages, click on email, click on receive - then it downloads previews from my inbox (so now i dont even need the bluetooth).. I can check emails as often as i want - its like having mobile email.
The only downside is that it wont download all the really big files (it will let you know they are there, but you cant read them until you get back to a connection).
Another great feature for those of us that are concerned for our health ...

Advantages: Sleek and chic Disadvantages: slightly cumbersome
I have often wanted to 'capture the moment' and found myself without a camera. The magic that has been lost pains my fragile heart- so imagine my delight at the free upgrade to an integrated camera phone with a certain Je ne sais quoi. Yes, it bordered on delirium. I tell no lie. Odd really, as this wasn't even my first camera phone. My last one was manufactured by T-mobile, although it looked suspiciously like a Motorola, and it had a camera attachment. ... ...brick, but apparently it did. I was the freak on the 'ashamed of your mobile ads', or so my 'friends' claimed. Oh the flashbacks. And so as I was due for an upgrade, I thought I'd treat myself to a nice one- it retails at £99.99. I only had a £49.99 allowance, but dammit- I would pay for style. Incidentally- and here's a lovely little tip for y'all- I got my phone for free in the end. It's all a question of harassing the poor customer service staff. ...

Advantages: Great picture quality / camera Disadvantages: One game
This phone is superb. When my contract ran out I got a Siemens S55 camera attachment phone, the picture quality was poor and the menua was poor so I sent it back and decided on this phone.
The camera is very easy to use, press one button for the camera then click to take a pic!!

the ringtones are superb, I have downloaded loads of free ones from various Wap sites.

Advantages: Excellent camera Disadvantages: only 1 or 2 games, camera-shutter noise
I was given this phone by my sister, after waiting months to be able to buy one.
The phone is extremely easy to use, with picture icons on the menu directing you where to go. One of the top buttons can be selected to bring up any feature on the phone with just one press of the button, and the other opens the phonebook. The phonebook can be personalized with a small photo of the person, there is space for notes on them, and you can assign a different ... ...light up when you get a call(or text) from that person. Also you can store as many phone numbers or email addresses as you like to one person.
The camera on this phone is absolutely amazing. With just two clicks of a button, you can take and store a crystal clear picture that looks like its been taken with a real camera. Sometimes in darker light the picture becomes a little grainy but the picture is still good. On the downside, there is only one ...

Advantages: top notch camera, clear and large colour display and relativly small Disadvantages: battery life not to great.
This little number is a brilliant phone packed full with features. It has an excellent in-built camera which is simple to use and the ability to zoom in, change brightness, crop and frame your pictures before sending them via MMS to another phone of e-mail it to friends and family.
It also has a handy voice recorded which you can send via mms along with the pictures which is pretty cool
The standard ringtones sound cheezy and don't really do the ... ...it's not too bad.
Being used to a range of Nokia phones over the past few years, i found that accessing the phone numbers was a bit difficult and to actually call some one was darn near impossible but once you get used to the phone it's fairly easy to navigate.

Advantages: overall a great phone Disadvantages: Predictive text doesn't like to learn new words
Having now used this phone for 5 months i now feel I have tested it to its very limits.
As a phone it is great, reception always seems to be good although that does also depend on the network. The only concern i do have is the length of time the battery lasts. It lasts well on standby, but any long conversations will soon drain the battery. This may be due however to the amount of usage it receives at my hands.
Lots of ringtones and free downlads ... ...memory - it only holds 10 messages and operates on an inbox/outbox/create style menu. I've also found the predictive text infuriating - it doesn't like to learn new words. But, it does have the option of toggling between input types.
The camera is great, zoom and brightness facilities and all the other trimmings like borders are available - easy to e-mail pictures as well as picture messaging. Phone can store loads of pictures.

Advantages: Slim, good looking, robust, good camera Disadvantages: Hard to customise, easy to get sand in the buttons ;)
...to use.. The panasonic GD87 is just that!.. because of the flip phone design, theres a whole load of space for nice big keys. Not too big mind. This allows your fingers to ramble when typing txts and not get a single letter wrong.
On the whole, the keyboard set up is nice and intuative. You wont need to read the manual much, if at all. The only downside I encountered is that while texting, if your strayed on to the red "hang up" button by accident ... ...to the first screen. This can get quite annoying but when you get used to txting with the phone you will only do it once in a blue moon.
Battery
This too was pretty good. Seemed to last for ages. When I first got it I was playing with it for ages, almost constantly for the day and it till lasted about two days without a charge. If your using it normally however, making a few calls and txts it should last you about four days.

Advantages: External Screen, Infrared port, Camera Disadvantages: Dual-Band instead of Tri-,
...ago, I was given a Panasonic GD87. It is an "almost-full" mobile phone. It has voice-calling, camera, a "loudspeaker", polyphonic ringtones (as the most of the new mobiles and it supports both midi & these on Sony-Ericsson Mobiles), it has an infrared port, access to mobile internet via G.P.R.S. network. It is a dual-band terminal (900 & 1800MHz).
- Voice-Calling system
You can add up to 10 voice-called numbers. It is not very good as that on Nokia ... ...Polyphonic Ringtones
The polyphonics of Panasonic M.P. are played via a 16channel system.
- Infrared Port
It's port can "trade" files as the S.E. mobiles do. I tried it with a S.E. T310 and T610. The preinstalled ringtone "Moonstar" of S.E.T310 was very clear while I tried to play it.
- GPRS & Dual Band
The GPRS function, can let you download games pics and tones at very very fast speeds. But when the GPRS network is down, you can't download. ...
