Firstly, I am a graphic artist, and also know a lot about photography, having owned SLR cameras with full lens filter kits/tripods etc back in the day before digital cameras. So when I wanted to buy my 3rd digital camera, I knew what to look for. I have spent long months researching review sites on the latest cameras, and there are certainly ones out there better than this, but not, I believe for the price and compactness of this. Build:
The quality of build is excellent. It is a smart looking compact, which looks akin to the latest Nokia phones (if you buy it in black), and the buttons are solid and easy to work. I have large fingers and the only thing I found was a stretch was using the zoom dial. Advantages: value, zoom, features Disadvantages: probably not to good for advanced photography
...and he reccomended me this panasonic lumix camera. I have been more than happy with his reccomendation ever since, having found the camera very easy to use, but also capable of taking very high quality photographs. I would reccomend this above Samsung and Fuji cameras I have had in the past.
The zoom is excellent, very defined, and the camera offers a burst feature, which allows you to take a series of photos, excellent for a moving object, and ... ...than £80 equivalent I am very pleased to have chosen this camera, as for someone who wants photos of travels and everyday life, it has more than i need, but is not at all confusing. It also comes in a range of colours so you can customise it as you wish, and once bought you will be snapping away without having to carry the manual with you for when you get confused. ...

Advantages: small and fast startup Disadvantages: no viewfinder
I have only bought this camara a week ago so really just learning about it. The first thing I really noticed was the size. Small enough to fit into my top pocket of my jacket and small enough to just sit in your hand bag. The weight of it is noticable when it sits in my breast pocket of a tea shirt but when I hang it round my neck its not to uncumfortable because of its small size. It does not seem to swing about to much.
Now the settings. When ... ...second to start up and be ready for picture taking. The screen is nice and clear, with a big viewing area. It has not view finder so you need the screen. This will eat into the battery life if you leave the camara switched on. It does have a setting where you can make it power down if you forget to turn it off though. There is a delay after you press the button to shoot but only about half a second. It has 50mb internal memory and takes SD cards. ...

Advantages: Very practical, good value for money & stylish Disadvantages: Takes a bit of practice to get the right brightness with all the mode options available
...my friends recommended Panasonic lumix as they were very happy with the quality of their own pictures and I must admit after buying it I wasn't disapointed either!
