Advantages Advantages Various shooting modes and special effects

Disadvantages Disadvantages When in sun, its hard to see photo being taken in LCD display

I enjoy taking photos with 6 megapixel and 4x digital zoom Panasonic DMC LZ5. I think its well thought out digital camera that takes good pictures and is easy to use. Image stabilisation and extra zoom is definitely a plus. Its operated by 2 AA batteries that last for about 400 shoots. It is not a slim camera but it is quite ok in size: 10cm width, 4.5cm depth and 6.2cm in height, weights 186g. There are various shooting modes that this camera offers e.g. Portrait mode, party/indoor, night portrait, scenery, food, fireworks, sports mode, candle, snow, high sensitivity, starry sky, soft skin ... more

Advantages Advantages 6X optical zoom, easy to use, great pictures

Disadvantages Disadvantages Struggles slightly indoors (but don't all compacts!)

The 6X optical zoom of this camera is exceptional! Most digital cameras have a lower optical zoom and require digital measures to get to this length. For the price, I think this level of optical zoom is great value for money. The camera is slightly larger than some of it's peers, but it has to be to pack the optics it includes! As for features, the panasonic has an intuitive menu system, and every option is where you would expect. The quality of the photos is exceptional outside and the macro function works well. As would be expected, indoors, it struggles a little. However, without the power ... more

Advantages Advantages Very Easy to Use

Disadvantages Disadvantages The software to connect to the computer is poor.

I was looking for a new camera, and came across this one. It has an anti shake facility which is very useful for me. It has a good zoom facility, and the settings are easy to use. It has a simple mode where you simply point and click, and another setting where you can save your favourtie settings, from flash control, to screen setting, to picture resolution. The viewable screen is large, and has a good crisp clear picture. The menu is displayed on here. Once a picture is taken you are able to view the picture on the screen, or by changing the dial view and edit all the pictures on the memory ... more

Advantages Advantages Very easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A little bulky

Looks The camera itself is not going to win any beauty contests. A rather large camera that is designed as a camera, not a fashion accessery!!!! Easy of use Very easy. Like an ipod, very few controls but control all the features the camera posses. You may need to read the instructions on a couple of points to do with the menus but once there, come as second nature. Range of features As a camera it does the job with no strings attached, no mp3, no calender no nothing apart from features you want on a camera. The best feature is the larger lens and 6* optical zoom. Great for capture more of a ... more
