Advantages Advantages Good build & picture quality, Ease of use, 10x zoom, ISO can be set manually.

Disadvantages Disadvantages No seperate viewfinder, manual settings or supplied SD card, High ISO picture blurring.

Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5EB-K Overview This review is based on my own reviews of this camera elsewhere and has been edited for the pupose of posting on here, I hope you will find it useful. Normally I use large DSLR or bridge camera, but I wanted a small camera that would fit in my pocket when I don't want to carry a large camera with me, this camera is just about small enough to fit into a large pocket. What attracted me to this particular model was its 10x zoom range from 28mm to 280mm (35mm equivalent) and its reasonable 9.1mp resolution. I went out and took some pictures with this camera ... more

Advantages Advantages 10x zoom, amazing lcd screen, HD movie

Disadvantages Disadvantages High ISO settings give blurring, No manual settings

From what i have used of the camera so far this camera will eat up any picture you want to take with it, I makes everything look so good with the massive 10x optical zoom. The specifications are as follows: 9.1 Mega pixels 10x optical zoom Leica lens 1/2.33" sensor Sd card with SdHc capability (upto 32gb) 3" lcd screen with 460k dots lithium ion rechargeable battery 28mm wide angle lens HD movie capability So far there is only one problem that i have found with this camera. That is when the ISO gets above 200 the images start to blur slightly but i don't know of many, if any compact cameras ... more

Advantages Advantages Picture quality and zoom

    Disadvantages Disadvantages lens

I recently purchased this camera as i needed one for my holiday with the girlfriend. We went into all sorts of electrical shops and found them all rubbish except for jessops who showed us all the cameras. We wanted a camera which was easy to use and not fiddily to use with plently of dials and buttons which were never going to be used. This was the perfect option easy to use is a understatement. It has everything you could want from a camera. It has brilliant picture quality and the best zoom i have seen on a personal camera. The the intelligent auto selection is awesome it takes the ideal ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Size

This was my 'upgrade' to a now very low spec 3.1 mp Pentax Optio. To say it bluntly I was impresssed from the moment I switched it on. The TZ5, the supersceded model to the TZ3 carries a 'winning formula' from its predesessor. The TZ5 is difficult to flaw, the camera is very easy to use. I was whizzing around the options within minutes and the settings are very clear and understandable. One of my favourite features has to be the e.zoom button by the shot button. From the 1st press of this button the camera goes straight to a 10x optical zoom without having to do it using the manual control ... more

Advantages Advantages Best for Travel ....good Satisfacion

Disadvantages Disadvantages Noise on Higher ISO Setting.

I have decided to buy Panasonic Lumix TZ-5, after having long research on reviews sites and feedbacks. Today in the market there is maximum share of compact cameras are under of canon and Sony. But I decided such a camera which can fulfill my maximum requirements with travel features, which I can keep with me every-where and I can't loose any chance of good shot. Having all above points in mind I have decided to go for Lumix TZ-5 and it was my best choice according to requirements. Where it is extra-ordinary, where it fails…..some brief description I kept here, hope that u will like it. This ... more

Advantages Advantages Great zoom, easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Having always been a bit of a cheap and cheerful camera buyer, I was a bit nervous spending nearly double what I'd usually spend on a camera. This camera has proved to be beyond value for money though! The Lumix DMC-TZ5 is a 9.1 megapixel, with a wide angle lens and boasts an awesome 10X optical zoom. It's also a remarkable easy camera to use, a lot of time has gone into setting up the intelligent auto function (which is the main setting you'll use), that means the camera works out what type of photo your taking, adjust for light and does pretty much everything a photographer does (all be it ... more

Advantages Advantages large screen, excellent picture, easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages no view finder

I recently bought this camera from Amazon for around £150 and it probably has the best quality picture display I have seen on a similary priced digital camera. The picture quality is brilliant even when zoomed in ten times and the display is very sharp and bright on most settings. There are many different settings for different scenes such as sport (which eliminates blurryness), night mode, snow, beach and many more, maybe about 15 in total. It has a really smart design, however it would be better if it came with a case, yet I have no scratches on it as yet. The battery, when fully charged ... more

Advantages Advantages image quality is excelent

Disadvantages Disadvantages a little bit pricy

First Imust say that this product is good.. 9.1 mp is good enough get a higher resulution of image plus the 10x zooming lens is good for distant object. Base on my experience as a graphic designer and using varietey of camera the higher resulution is much better than the lower one I can rcommend this product to the people who would like take picture to the place where they go. For the amatuer photographer graphic artist that needs quick image for there project. But if you are a serious amatuer or a profesional photographer dont buy this kind of camera for its lack of extended lens for the far ... more

5 Stars Quick review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5EB-K by AKY11 30/07/2008
For anyone who wants the ease of a point and shoot and the range of settings/functions of an SLR, with the best AUTO setting, I caanot express enough my satisfaction with this panasonic gem. An absolute breeze to use, even for kids. The 10x zoom is brilliant and being optical makes for better photos. The battery life is good but notthe best and the lack of a viewfinder would be my only gripe(you have to use the screen). Best of both worlds and no compromise.
