Digital camera - 9.1 Megapixel - Optical Zoom: 10 - Digital Zoom: 4x - Weight: 214 g - Flash memory: SD/SDHC Memory card, MultiMedia card - Viewfinder: without Viewfinder more
Advantages: Good build & picture quality, Ease of use, 10x zoom, ISO can be set manually. Disadvantages: No seperate viewfinder, manual settings or supplied SD card, High ISO picture blurring.
...quality, the pictures from the Panasonic fared resonably well in comparison.
I was expecting the picture quality from a 10x zoom on such a small camera to suffer, but I was pleasantly surprised, the pictures were sharp throughout the focal range, even at its longest focal length, and there was no apparent chromatic aberrations, (colour fringing around high contrast subjects) plus the image stablizer worked well in all but very dim light conditions. ...

I recently purchased this camera as i needed one for my holiday with the girlfriend. We went into all sorts of electrical shops and found them all rubbish except for jessops who showed us all the cameras. We wanted a camera which was easy to use and not fiddily to use with plently of dials and buttons which were never going to be used. This was the perfect option easy to use is a understatement. It has everything you could want from a camera. It has ...

Having always been a bit of a cheap and cheerful camera buyer, I was a bit nervous spending nearly double what I'd usually spend on a camera. This camera has proved to be beyond value for money though!
The Lumix DMC-TZ5 is a 9.1 megapixel, with a wide angle lens and boasts an awesome 10X optical zoom. It's also a remarkable easy camera to use, a lot of time has gone into setting up the intelligent auto function (which is the main setting you'll ...

This was my 'upgrade' to a now very low spec 3.1 mp Pentax Optio. To say it bluntly I was impresssed from the moment I switched it on. The TZ5, the supersceded model to the TZ3 carries a 'winning formula' from its predesessor. The TZ5 is difficult to flaw, the camera is very easy to use. I was whizzing around the options within minutes and the settings are very clear and understandable. One of my favourite features has to be the e.zoom button by the ...

Having all above points in mind I have decided to go for Lumix TZ-5 and it was my ...

Advantages: large screen, excellent picture, easy to use Disadvantages: no view finder
I recently bought this camera from Amazon for around £150 and it probably has the best quality picture display I have seen on a similary priced digital camera.
The picture quality is brilliant even when zoomed in ten times and the display is very sharp and bright on most settings.
There are many different settings for different scenes such as sport (which eliminates blurryness), night mode, snow, beach and many more, maybe about 15 in total.
It ...

Advantages: image quality is excelent Disadvantages: a little bit pricy
First Imust say that this product is good..
9.1 mp is good enough get a higher resulution of image plus the 10x zooming lens is good for distant object.
Base on my experience as a graphic designer and using varietey of camera the higher resulution is much better than the lower one
I can rcommend this product to the people who would like take picture to the place where they go.
For the amatuer photographer graphic artist that needs quick image ...

So far there is only one problem that i have found with this camera. That is when the ISO gets above 200 the images start to blur slightly but i don't know of many, if any compact cameras with 10x zoom will prevent the blurring from happening on higher ISO settings.
The build quality of the camera is superb it feels weighty which to me is a good sign that the camera actually has something decent inside of it :). But i will say that it is not as small ...

For anyone who wants the ease of a point and shoot and the range of settings/functions of an SLR, with the best AUTO setting, I caanot express enough my satisfaction with this panasonic gem.
An absolute breeze to use, even for kids. The 10x zoom is brilliant and being optical makes for better photos. The battery life is good but notthe best and the lack of a viewfinder would be my only gripe(you have to use the screen). Best of both worlds and no compromise.

I am not technically gifted but I can state with absolute conviction that this camera is absolutely fantastic and user-friendly. It has one of the best optical zooms available on digital cameras while boasting of a compact size and light weight and yet packed with loads of fascinating but easy to use features. It's lower range price is unbeatable but I also understand why a retailer would sell it at the top range price.

Advantages: Very easy to use, metal body, good image quality,10x optical zoom, compact and stylish Disadvantages: None
I bought it about 6 months ago.It is my first digital camera. It has 9.1 megapixels. There aren’t many cameras on the market with which to compare the TZ5.Because it has a lot of features. The body is made from stainless steel and aluminium, and has a comfortable handgrip with a textured plastic pad on the front, and a large secure thumbgrip on the back. The camera feels very well built, with pleasing switches, and is fairly comfortable to hold. The ...

This is a very high tech camera that is easy to used. The wide angle lens captures the subject and the scene wider at the same standpoint than normal camera does and you can zoom in or out to magnify a distant subject when desired with the 10x optical zoom.
There is an Auto mode, which comprises various shooting-assist functions, has been advanced for the camera by adding the Exposure feature and Digital Red-eye. It has a high-performance image-processing ...

Advantages: huge wide angle lens (28mm) and a huge 10x optical zoom Disadvantages: doesnt have a viewfinder, only lcd screen
9.1 megapixels is huge for a compact camera, meaning it provides amazing image quality on a proffesional level. The 28mm wide angle leica lens is more than enough to fit the biggest of family or the vastest of landscapes and sceneary, with no squeeing in needed. Also with a 720p HD output you can enjoy your movies and images in very impressive high deffinition quality on you telly. A ten times! optical zoom lets you really get into the action WITHOUT ...
