Advantages Advantages compact size, big zoom, HD video, GPS, Easy to use, use SD card

Disadvantages Disadvantages Short battery life especially with GPS on, Slow start and between shots

Introduction: Well, I have a Fujifilm F31FD camera (see my other review) for a long while and I still am very happy with it for its light weight and long battery life. What do I need another camera so soon? I have been waiting for an all-in-one compact camera/camcorder before I got my Fujifilm camera. It is a choice of having a camera that can take decent video, or, a camcorder that can take decent photos. Also, I have a special requirement for the camera - compact, light weight, easily pull it out from your trousers/jeans to shoot; for the camcoder - no tape/DVD/Hard disk but memory cards ... more

5 Stars Panasonic TZ10 Review with images 05/06/2011

    Advantages Advantages many

    Disadvantages Disadvantages one

I will write this review in first person and not third person in order to ensure that readers will be aware that I OWN this extremely delightful camera & I will do my best here to explain its many and varied features. TZ10 is extremely lightweight (250g, I have just weighed it on kitchen scales) and easy to handle and takes high quality photographs on every occasion I have used it. TZ10 is compact and I am the envy of my friends who have witnessed me using it on many occasions for special events such as weddings, christenings, funerals, holidays, etc etc. Camera cost me £245 online from ... more

Advantages Advantages 12x wide angle lens, strong design and build quality, Manual exposure modes

Disadvantages Disadvantages zooming at first was confusing.

Panasonic's TZ-series compact superzooms have been a line of successful quality travel, zoom cameras that were amazing all round. but now the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10, boasts a higher-resolution sensor, GPS, manual exposure modes and intelligent image processing. Also it comes at a fairly cheap price which is what i wanted just for holidays and simple walks. Could this be the perfect travel camera? Image Quality The pictures of course are high quality and are high detailed. The optional intelligent system works well in nearly all photos like reducing noise in certain areas or increasing detail ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, Perfect Quality, Worth its money.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very delicate, very light.

This camera.. is amazing. The quality is the best ive seen in an ordinary digital camera. The quality makes things stand out, and the camera just makes every picture as sharp and clear as can be. The shutter is very quick, which makes it easier for pictures not to blur. It has a handful of great settings, and awesome effects. The camera will stay alive forever, and its any easy to use, or easy to learn how to use device.. something that someone of any age could use. In my opinion, its my favorite digital camera selection, I always seem to break mine.. but after having this, I make sure too ... more

Advantages Advantages High resolution, Great magnification (10 x optical, and 2 x digital), Price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No camera bag

I bought it last spring in Japan. I recorded some live events while in The Universal Studio in Osaka. Based on my point of view, the screen is very clear and the high resolution demonstrates the best pictures and videos. Furthermore, it is easy to use, however the best result I got when I used "ia" mode. It is also very easy to handle, eventhough it does not provide a softcase or a camera bag within the package. Another point is that the optical magnification (10 times) provides very excellent pictures, even I take from far away, moreover, it still provides excellent pictures although it takes ... more

Advantages Advantages big zoom, good picture quality, ease to use, price is reasonable.

Disadvantages Disadvantages The video recording will record the zoom noise.

I have used TZ10 for more than half an year. From my experience, this is really a good camera. This camera is called ZS7 in Taiwan and some other countries. With 12X optical zoom, and 12.1 Megapixel, and a bunch of scene selections, this camera can match most people's need quite well. This camera provides video recording with zoom at the same time. But the noise when zooming is a little bit too annoying. So I suggest not to use zoom when video recording. The zoom effect is quite satisfying. However, there is a strange situation, which the quality of the picture is poorer when the zoom is not ... more

Advantages Advantages Its compact, easy to use and has many great shooting modes and features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Possibly the picture quality is not up to scratch for professional level pictures.

I bought this camera a couple of months ago in order to replace my 2009 Lumix which unfortunately was stolen - I loved the camera then and I love the new model even more! I'm not by any means a pro when it comes to photography - am really more of the happy snappy type who enjoys taking fun pics to remind me of great times, and the Lumix has performed this purpose admirably! I have been able to take far better pics with this camera then any of my previous compact digital cameras. There are now also options for manual and semi-manual shooting modes, as well as many features that I am enjoying ... more

Advantages Advantages very good zoom and picture quality.

Disadvantages Disadvantages could use a quicker shutter speed

I brought this camera as I needed a long zoom but a compact camera to carry with me - the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 fitted the bill and I haven't been disapointed. The camera has a good look and feels sturdy as well as having a comfortable hand grip making it very user friendly. The camera has a dial on the top so you turn it to the mode you want to use to take pictures, which does work quickly. There are lots of options which means you can be more technical, but if you just want a camera to point and click then the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 will adapt to its user as it offers plenty of advanced ... more

Advantages Advantages Good range of shooting modes, shoots hd video, great image quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Instruction manual is confusing, on screen menu can be a bit confusing

I think this is a fantastic digital camera which takes fantastic photos in every situation, if you are unsure whether to go for a Digital camera or SLR Camera, this Digital camera in my view is one of the closet out there to the quality of an SLR, without the SLR price tag. It is a great camera for point and shoot photography, with its fantastic intelligent auto mode, it also has automatic face recognition. The camera also has a descent range of modes, from Aperture Priority to Shutter Speed Priority. For those who want to enhance there photography The camera is also very capable of producing ... more
