Advantages: Small, useable, light weight Disadvantages: Lacks some finer points, stills option is useless.
Overall this is a reasonable quality camera with some useful functions. At the price it is near the lower end of the camcorder market but still provides the necessary functions to take a good move.
The camera has a main video option and a stills option. The video does the trick, providing good zoom and focus qualities. The stills option on thie camera is of no use to a digital camera user. The resolution is 640 * 480. This kind of quality is bettered ... ...paying the extra money for so it would be worth looking at other cameras in the range that do not have this to save money.
The other issue with this camera is that it has been replaced with a newer model. The new model is a little more expensive but you gain some features and a reduction iin size and weight.
Otherwise this camera provides a useful range of movie taking abilities plus some not so useful. The resulting movies are of good quality. ...

Quick review of Panasonic NV DS65B
Hold on tight to your Digital Camcorder NV-DS65B driver cd for if you lose it the support from Panasonic is nothing short of pathetic. I and hundereds of others are still looking for Digital Camcorder NV-DS65B drivers for Vista. Panasonic is quick to divert those of us looking for these drivers to computer invaders who then help us by invading our computers checking through our personal info and finally letting us download drivers that Panasonic should have offered to us in a simple section of their terrible Web site. ...

Advantages: Compact, well made. Disadvantages: Very poor low light performance, black and white view finder
...newer model and carrying the Panasonic name the performance would be much better but I was very disappointed.
Having a black and white view finder is a waste of time as you have to use the colour monitor all the time which is a pain. The Canon, 3 years older, has a colour viewfinder and is in the same price bracket. My main reason for replacing the Canon was for an improvement filming in low light unfortunately the Panasonic was worse with a very ... ...being boxed back up and returned to the supplier straight away. I paid £288 but even at this price I was very dissapointed and gladly sacrificed the postal charges to be rid of it.
Come on Panasonic I can't believe you have put your name on this inferior product. ...

Advantages: Small, compact Disadvantages: when taking still picture using the SD card, the pixel quality is poor
This camera is small and compact; the picture quality is extremely good compared to other manufacturers. I paid £399 this was a reasonable price for the quality that you receive. This camera comes with a LCD display, rechargeable battery, colour night vision, and also a built in light, image stabilizer which is good if you haven’t ... ...you can take still pictures, built in microphone and speakers.
