    Advantages Advantages Compact, Good Resolution, Video and Stills

    This little camera is excellent if you just want a toy for messing around. It has lots of extra features, such as blue tooth and a data card. It takes pretty good stills although the resolution isn't what you get from a good quality digital camera. The actual video footage that it produces is excellent if transfered onto Video. However if you plan on putting it onto your PC, it takes a while and isn't brilliant quality. Unless you have the latest in DV technology and software the images are slightly pixelated.     The camcorder world is a shining example of the pros of having one major format that all manufacturers stick to. There are other minor formats out there, but the majority of the market - including all of this month's new entries -is backing Mini-DV. Mini-DV has a number of advantages. First, it's small compared to its analogue predecessors, allowing for more compact designs. Second, because it's digital, capturing and amending your footage on a PC is a breeze so there's no excuse for boring friends and family with hours of unedited film.
