Advantages: Small, compact design Disadvantages: Short recording time
The Panasonic SDR-S100 uses a Secure Digital (SD) card for recording instead of using any kind of tape, because of this the camera itself if very small. Because of this I sometimes find it a little difficult to use, the zoom function is a scroll wheel and it can be slightly difficult to use at times, but it is easy enough to use your other hand if needed.
The camcorder has a 2.8 LCD screen that can be used to watch what you are filming if you prefer, ... ...this is clear and bright and is it possible to tilt it to through to a 180 degree angle. The camera has an image stabiliser and a 10x opticall zoom for close up shots. The camcorder doubles up as a still shot camera, giving you a 3.1 megapixal resolution.
