Having been stuck with a busted camcorder on the morning on an important family visit, I dashed to a major electrical store to source a replacement, stumbled across this camera, researched the others on display and chose the S26 for ease of use, merit for the make (I bought Lumix TZ5 and have been really pleased with it, quality, capabilities etc, great lens) and general feel for the camera. in my opinion, X70 zoom works very well, resolution excellent ...

Excellence Camcorders Panasonic s26 using the SD card is the size, and this is evident. Not like a video camera that uses DVD, Mini DV tapes or disk drives, removable flash memory card does not have the means to move to the top of the recording mechanism. If you want a film camera you can menshot around and other things. You can only hold hands with one finger on the S26.
