Advantages: Very Light, Small and Good Base Disadvantages: Cheap Plastic Shell
...business consumer in mind, the Panasonic e-wear SV-SD50 digital audio player is a self contained media player. With its flash blue and grey exterior, three small buttons on the front and a scrolling wheel stick which juts out of the side to change the tracks, it proves to be a very neat little device on looks. Although it has a small LCD screen, Panasonic has done a good job getting everything you need onto that tiny space. If you wear glasses, best ... ...Like the Sony MD/MP3 players, Panasonic have finally introduced a “hold” button so that if you accidentally push any buttons, nothing will happen in “hold” mode, so you can keep the player in your pocket and not have to worry about why the music keeps skipping to different tracks.
The e-wear is powered by a single AAA battery which will power it for approximately 30 hours! The e-wear is very easy to use and is very good but it feels like it was ...

...in the player. Alas, Panasonic insist that you use their software to transfer the files, and it stores them in SD1 format, which appears to have MP3-type headers, but won't play back in any other player that I've come across.
The LCD display is clear, but obviously limited in size, so there's no concept of scrolling down lists to choose tracks.
This player was quite expensive when I bought it, but it was worth it for the size, weight and excellent ... ...a compact player that sounds good, but I'd also recommend getting to know the software really well. I just let the software copy the files to the SD card, without setting up folders or albums, so I ended up with about 250 tracks in a single album, which makes them a lot more difficult to find.
I won't make that mistake again. ...

Advantages: Easily the best looking MP3 player available Disadvantages: Alomst TOO small!!
First of all you have to see this MP3 player to believe it. The photo doesn't do it justice. This thing is TINY!! And I mean TINY. It's the size of the christmas 1st class stamps. This thing is SO cool, everybody in the gym asks me where I got it.
It comes with the software for transferring files from your pc to the memory, 128mb memory card, rechargeable battery, charger, waterproof case and neck strap thingy! First of all, the software is a piece ... ...or your computer onto the sd memory card and away you go. If you pop in a CD the track listings are automatically downloaded and inserted for you. The battery life is AMAZING!!! I've never had to charge it up and I've used it for almost an hour since I bought it. The waterproof case has space for a AAA battery which extends battery life even further!!
The main reason I bought this is because of the SD capabilites. You could in theory buy a 1GB SD ...

Advantages: Tiny, can fit easily in your pocket Disadvantages: Storage is not great
When i first got my hands on this little clever mp3 player i was quietly excited. This was my first MP3 player and was really chuffed. Once i got it home i put the little memory crad which you slide in. It was easy to set up and thought i was well on my way.
Then i saw the card writed, and i thought there could be a problem! The unit comes with drivers and a little card reader/writer. Connected it all up, and to my suprise it worked. The music transfer ... ...Not brilliant but worked ok and all 16 songs transfered in around 5 minuits.
Yes, 16 songs is all it holds as its quite an old unit but all works fine, volume goes up nice and loud, and all together the unit it easy to use, good to look at, and in my opinion worth the pennies you can now get them for! ...

Advantages: Small Size Disadvantages: Can not upload legally purchased protected files
...useless on this player. Panasonic said it has no plans to modify the software to allow the upload of legally purchased proitected files. Since the future trend is towards more slective song purchased, this is a huge drawback for usability and makes it a waste of money. I'm searching for a new player... The instructions were typical of Japanese manufactures and the operating logic is a little cumberson, typical with Panasonic electronics. Again great ...
