Wow!

AdvantagesGreat value, good picture and stereo sound quality, huge screen

DisadvantagesNone for me, yet.

"Please note that the Panasonic television reviewed in this atricle is actually the:-TH42PX80B, and so the specification may be a little different to the own shown on Ciao for the product. However the Ciao site would not let me add the product in this review so I have picked the nearest code, hoping that this review will still be helpful to the consumer. * A little background to the purchase......... I know this will sound sad bu,t on Christmas ..." Read review

42 Inches Of Pure Pleasure!

AdvantagesAmazing quality images, lots of features, looks great.

DisadvantagesWe weren't quite ready to pay out for a new TV.

"...different websites; pricing up different Panasonic models and seeing what the feedback on these items are online. We wanted to go for Panasonic because they seem to be the leaders in plasma technology, plus my sister has one and has no complaints whatsoever about that one, which is always a good start. We thought that since we're going to be making such a big purchase, we may as well get the best we can 'afford' rather than buy a cheap one to make ..." Read review

Panasonic nearly perfect as usual

Advantagesexcellent picture, lots of inputs and very stylish

Disadvantagesnot great sound

"The Panasonic Viera is truly a great TV, and as usual, I had looked around many review websites before I finally settled on this product. It really is 42 inches of viewing pleasure, especially with it being 1080p, which really gives a crisp and clear picture. For all the techies out there who love the specifications, it comes with 2 scart inputs and 3 HDMI inputs and a contrast ratio of 30000:1 which makes it ideal for those that like to hook their ..." Quick review of Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80

"Plasma tvs give a forgiving picture on standard definition signals and are excellent for showing fast movement due to the fast response times (0.001ms in this model - average of 8ms for an LCD). This tv is excellent as they can be picked up fairly cheaply at the moment in comparison to its the more advanced 42" the 42PZ81 (freesat tv), as it doesnt compromise too much. Obviously it doesnt have the freesat built in, and it has the standard 100hz rather that the 100hz with intelligent frame creation but see the impressive picture on this tv next to the poor picture on an lcd on standard definition and the jump in price to the pz81 will be hard to justify.

42 Inches of Pure Bliss - Panasonic Plasma

AdvantagesGreat visuals, affordable, Full HD, built in speakers

DisadvantagesNone

"Panasonic 42 Inch Plasma - Live without it? What life! Well we needed a new TV since our 14 year old Sony 20inch seemed to be dieing and so we began the long an arduous journey of 'Time for a new TV'. It took a while to decide whether to get an LCD or Plasma and well having gone everywhere, literally, I'm glad to have the plasma (Dark colours look better and no blurring, unlike a lot of LCD's). Also we were set on getting a 42inch because with ..." Read review

"Been waiting for thisT.V. to drop in price, treated my self last month. Fantastic is the only word for it, well worth the wait. Much better picture then all the rest of friends and family TVs everbody has said what a great picture. And no matter how sunny it has been the anti-reflective screen works 100%. Games systems also look 100%. You wil not be dissapointed with this.

Panasonic TH 42PZ80E Plasma TV

Advantagesgreat picture, excellent blacks, 24p and no motion blur

Disadvantages42" doesnt seem big enough, 1 more HDMI would be nice

"...plasma) terms in the world! The Panasonic TH-42PZ80E offers: Great picture quality. The built in freeview tuner is more than up to par and puts most other LCD sets to shame Sound quality is very good for a flat screen bearing in mind that they all have tiny speakers 3 x HDMI connectors, 1 set of component connections, sx scart connections, and a headphone slot! Followed by a SDHC card sclot and a top up tv slot !(that no one uses that I know) The ..." Read review

Everything you need and more!! - Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80

Advantageshandles movement smoothly, huge screen, excellent picture, good picture quality, attractive design

Disadvantagesnot great sound, contrast not as defined,

"The Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U is full of features at a very friendly price. The Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U features a mostly-black chassis with a slightly bowed silver strip at the bottom. The speakers are hidden behind a narrow screen and are virtually unnoticeable. The buttons are also kept concealed under a flip-down panel. The Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U is capable of full 1080p HD resolution. This is perfect now that broadcasts and Blu-Ray are ..." Read review

Panasonic = Plasma

Advantagesgood picture quality

Disadvantagescontrast not as defined

"...42" and is a plasma, panasonic are well known for thier plasma's thier contrast ratios are good with good colour density especially in their HD-ready range compatible with 1080p hi-def, the images are crisp and flow well into each other unlike a LCD after 32" which doesnt like moving images like plasmas do. This Panasonic looks good in black, with a metalic trim going around it, and is wall mountable, and comes with a stand. Best of all i feel is ..." Read review

panasonic tv

Advantagesgreat picture and sound

Disadvantagesmaybe too big

"well what can i say about this piece of brilliance. it really is a top class tv that is pretty much faultless in my opinion. it has great surround sound and has a pretty much perfect picture. i have always been a little bit aprehensive about plasma tv's because i feel that they can take up too much space if they are too big. i think this tv is the best type at it's price range. i think that it's a really good value for money and think the chance should ..."
