The Panasonic Viera is truly a great TV, and as usual, I had looked around many review websites before I finally settled on this product. It really is 42 inches of viewing pleasure, especially with it being 1080p, which really gives a crisp and clear picture. Plasma tvs give a forgiving picture on standard definition signals and are excellent for showing fast movement due to the fast response times (0.001ms in this model - average of 8ms for an LCD). This tv is excellent as they can be picked up fairly cheaply at the moment in comparison to its the more advanced 42" the 42PZ81 (freesat tv), as it doesnt compromise too much. Obviously it doesnt have the freesat built in, and it has the standard 100hz rather that the 100hz with intelligent frame creation but see the impressive picture on this tv next to the poor picture on an lcd on standard definition and the jump in price to the pz81 will be hard to justify. ...
