Oh i've owned a flat screen panasonic in past to know. thought about the 46" originally but now i've got the 42" its more than sufficient and is just the right size for our living room. Now had this tv for 2 weeks. I have never owned a flat panel before and so have nothing of like to compare it to, however I am amazed by the picture quality/depth of field, the colours are so vivid and the blacks are, well black. It's like watching a moving photograph, and I only watch free view through it, imagine sky hd. I have this TV in our living room, and I love it!!!
