Worth Pantene times it's weight in gold!

Advantages: Nice smell, cheap, does the job well
Disadvantages: Basic

Pantene is a reliable and trustworthy haircare brand that has been around for as long as I can remember. It isn't my first choice as a shampoo - it's a bit too basic and plain for me, but I always have a bottle on standby for those times when I run out of Herbal Essences or Sunsilk! There are a variety of different shampoos in the Pantene Pro-V range, catering for different types of hair. You can choose from Smooth and Sleek, Sheer Volume, Radiant ...
...strengths and hair gel. Pantene promises to give you healthy, moisturised and clean hair, as well as protecting it from the environment and improving the condition in the long run. According to the blurb on the back of the bottle, Vitamin B penetrates the hair shaft to nourish the hair more than other shampoos do, leaving you with manageable, silky locks. Quite a claim for 2.99! The bottle isn't embarrassing to have on your bathroom rack, but is ...

PANTENE TIME RENEWAL

Advantages: Don't need much to make a lather.
Disadvantages: None that I can find.

Pantene is a brand of hair care products owned by Procter & Gamble. It was created in 1947 by the Swiss drug manufacturer Hoffman-LaRoche. It was primarily a European company until it acquired by Richardson-vicks in 1983. They expanded the product line to 100 products which were mainly sold in salons and department stores. I've never really liked Pantene products very much, I've always found my hair gets greasy very quickly after using it. I have ...
...blue lid. It has the pantene logo on the front along with the type of shampoo it is (Time Renewal). The lid makes it very easy to use this shampoo, you press on one side of the top of the lid and it goes down revealing on the other side, which has popped up, a slot in which the shampoo comes out of. On the back of the bottle is a little information about the product, directions on how to use it and the ingredients. Information on the bottle It ...

Pantene PRO v -v- Organics

Advantages: Pantene has a very well priced special offer on at the moment. However, I have always used Organic's
Disadvantages: Do you stick with what you know, or does price have to intervene?

Organic’s –v- Pantene Pro V My daughter and I both have long hair. Mine is wavy so it tends to frizz at the ends, particularly when the sun bleaches it in summer. My daughters hair is much curlier, and can fall into tendrils if treated correctly, otherwise it too, frizzes. Therefore, I have to be very careful about the shampoo and conditioners I choose to treat our hair kindly. Product A. Organic's shampoo and conditioner with essential ...
...out! Product B. Pantene PRO v – Perfect Curls So after raving on about Organic’s you may be wondering why I am even looking at Pantene at all. Well until recently, I have to admit I had not. However, on a recent trip to Sainsburys I noticed they had a special offer on this product. Now, as I said earlier, I have to be careful, but the offer was too good to miss, so I thought, why not? Therefore, throwing caution and a few squid to ...

What has happened to it

Advantages: Nice smell
Disadvantages: Leaves hair dull, lacking life, greasy within hours

...lift. I used to use Pantene regularly about a year ago and found it very good, but I have recently bought the new Pantene and i am truly disappointed. I have used it three times now and have found that my hair gets dirty very quickly - by the end of the day! I have never experienced this before apart from the time i tried using a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, which was disgusting (but that's a different story)! The new Pantene has the same effect ...
...have done to the old Pantene to get this new one needs to be undone! Using it has left my hair feeling heavy and greasy by the end of the day, meaning i have to wash it more often and which in turn is a bad move healthwise, especially for fine hair! Thankfully i bought small bottles to try them out - i am always sceptical these days of companies launching 'new and improved' products - they tend to be worse overall in my experience. I won't be buying ...

Deceit in a Bottle!

Advantages: good price, pleasent smell
Disadvantages: terrible results, awful buildup, and my hair fell out

WHAT IS PANTENE? Pantene is a well-known brand of hair products, sold at drugstores around the world. WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? The texture of most Pantene products is quite creamy, runny, and an off-white shiny colour. I find it to be a little heavy for my hair. WHAT DOES IT SMELL LIKE? Most Pantene products I have tried smell very nice, but it's a smell I can't put my finger on. Have you ever smelled a barbie doll's hair? It smells a lot like ...
...not sure how much ALL Pantene products cost, but the 2-in-1s, shampoos and conditioners, are all about 5.99 (CAD) which is quite reasonable. I've used an exchange rate website to see how much they cost in Britain, and I came up with the price 2.45 (pounds). I am not sure how accurate this is so if it is wrong or right please leave me some comments and I will change it if necessary. WHAT IS IT SUPPOSED TO DO? Here are some claims from the website: ...

My Favourite Shampoo

Advantages: Clean, silky feeling that lasts all day!
Disadvantages: Build up of residues on scalp

I have been using pantene on and off for years now, and I have to say that ouuut of all the brands I have used (and that's a lot)Pantene has to be my favourite. It smells really nice, it's good value for money and it makes my hair feel fantastic. Pantene makes my hair feel soft and shiny and it keeps that clean, just washed feelingall day long. The only problem is that pantene tends to build up residues in my hair making it feel dull and lifeless ...

frizz frizz no frizz

Advantages: healthy shiny hair
Disadvantages: reminds me of solons

I always use pantene pro v, as it smells nice its kind to my hair and is good value for money. I have very fine but split end hair and I find that pantene is the only shampoo and conditioner that keeps my hair under control. It is good value for money and costs between £2.00 and £2.50 for 400ml. Supermarkets quite often give good deals on it such as buy 2 for £5.00, which is really good, as I have a family of 6 and they all use it. I tend to buy ...

I find it is the only product for me I keep trying different products but I always go back to pantene, as it is the only one that works on my hair and keeps it in good condition. Some people say you get a build up of chemicals well maybe they do but I don’t and I am really satisfied with the overall ...

nothing like it's advert says

Advantages: works well the first time
Disadvantages: doesn't after that

This shampoo is far too much over-rated by the advert. It dulls your hair and makes it look horrible. Don't get me wrong, it works when you first use it but only for the first few times of use. It isn't all bad though. It does smell very nice but I would prefer it to make my hair look nice than it to have a smell. Unfortunately, this is not the case with this shampoo. I don't recomend anybody to use this bad excuse for a shampoo. It only makes your ...

Want to go curly wurley?

Advantages: Cheap & straight forward products
Disadvantages: None

...I could not believe that Pantene leaves my hair in better condition to others, including Paul Mitchell, Wella, Andrew Collinge and Tigi. So what type of hair am I working with: VERY THICK shoulder length layered dark brown hair with red low-lights Naturally curly – if left goes wavy, curls easily with diffuser & straightens easily (in salon!!!) Greasy roots, sometimes dry ends Products: Pantene Pro-V 2-in-1 shampoo & conditioner (Perfect Curls) ...
...pearly white) with the usual Pantene Pro-V logo but accented in deep pink. I dry my hair with a BaByliss Rapide 2000 hairdryer with diffuser attachment on full heat. I was given good advice years ago to minimise handling my hair if I want it really curly so I lean and let my hair fall naturally into the diffuser. The end result is bouncy curly hair. I don’t find I need hair spray and the day after doesn’t turn out too bad either! ...

Squeaky clean shampoo and conditioner

Advantages: Pleasant smelling
Disadvantages: None

Pantene Pro V, Sheer Volume Shampoo and separate Conditioner I first tried this product for a trial for a research company. It would usually cost £1.95 for each 400 ml bottle from Morrisons. Before I started to use this product I had to test my water to check for hardness, it turned out that the water in my area was very hard, I guess this would show in the amount of shampoo I needed to use. Firstly the shampoo. I applied approx 2 hazelnut size ...

is pantene as good as it says to be?

Advantages: great smell, simple to use
Disadvantages: makes my head itchy n gives me dandruff

...straight, (as im half chinese). Pantene used to be good to my hair, but not these days. Before the 'smooth and sleek ' shampoo and conditioner brand of Pantene, my hair used to be managable, smelt great and looked great. And I would only wash my hair every other day. My mum started to buy the new brand 'smooth and sleek', (as my hair was not smooth although quite sleek naturally i would need hair straightners to make my hair look sleek). Being ...

But this 'smooth and sleek' type did not do the job at the least! it just made my hair worse. So now i buy my own brand of shampoo and conditioner but i still use my mums Pantene if i run out. After a week of using Pantene 'smooth and sleek' i would find my hair getting greesy easily by the end of the day; if i had washed it in the morning. ...

Initially OK

Advantages: Nice smell
Disadvantages: Build up on hair

When I first bought this product I thought it was brilliant, but after some weeks use I found there was a build up of the product on my hair and my hair became dull and lifeless. This product would be good to use as an alternative once or twice a week but not good as your main shampoo. The perfume is nice and the packaging appealing but the product is not as good as it's advertising. Having used it a few times I would not keep this on my shopping ...

Wheres the conditioner

Advantages: unsure
Disadvantages: lots of tangles

I have been using Pantene shampoo and condition for a while now but since they have changed the look and range I assumed that there wouldn't be any difference to the product itself. I was wrong. Before the change I was using 2 in 1 shampoo plus conditioner for balanced normal hair. I had no problems with this at all I would just wash, towel dry and able to get a comb straight through my hair. When this had run out I went for 2 in 1 again but for ...
...to comb my hair as normal I could not get the comb though. It seem to have tangles galore and it took me a good 10 minutes to get them out and alot of pain. I would then start to blow dry my hair and I don't know what happen to the volume bit but I just had no control over my hair, it was flying all over the place. Once my hair was dry it still seemed fine and lifeless. I know they say it takes about 10 days of using the new shampoo before you notice ...

Pantene ProV

Advantages: Absolute value for money, amazingly soft hair.
Disadvantages: Coats your hair thus giving the heathy looking hair when infact maybe not healthy hair!

The Pantene proV brand has loads of different lines to suit all different hair types; these include ice shine which is used to help transform dull hair into super shiny hair; full and thick which is used to lift thin and limp hair and give it more fullness; sheer volume which is used to repair and lift damaged hair; smooth and sleek which is used to help control fizzy hair and create a smoother, straighter head of hair! I current use Ice shine shampoo ...
