Advantages Advantages Quirky and unusual cards and gift ideas. Fantastic shop presentation.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes quite pricey.

If you like imaginative, creative, unusual and quirky stationery and cards, then Paperchase is your dream come true. It's like a toy-shop for adults: you will want to reach out and touch everything, and more worryingly buy everything. I hope you enjoy hearing about my favourite shop. ~ ~ ~ About the Company ~ ~ ~ Paperchase has been trading for around 30 years and there are currently 88 shops around the UK. Paperchase concessions stores can also be found in several Borders Books & Music stores, House of Fraser and Selfridges. There are two 'flagship' shops that are larger and carry more stock ... more

Advantages Advantages Lovely products as wonderful gifts or a treat for yourself

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A tad expensive

Don't ask me why, I wouldn't be able to tell you, but I've always had a passion for stationary, in particular cute girley notebooks with vibrant patterns and smooth-writing pens in a variety of colours. With Woolworths now out the window, there's not many places to purchase nice stationary from, apart from WH Smiths, but they tend to sell more basic than attractive stuff. I first discovered Paperchase whilst on a school trip to London, and walking through Covent Garden I spied this fantastic looking little shop, begging my friends to go in with me. Once inside, I felt I had died and gone to ... more

Advantages Advantages Quality, Unique, different selection of items.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be pricey/not many shops.

Paperchase are a large stationery store which sell a wide range of different things. Their shops are noticeably different as they are bright and colour-full, well lit and are easily shoppable. This review is based on the Guildford store! ***WHAT DO THEY SELL?*** Paperchase sell a wide range of items including greeting cards, art papers and materials, stationery, gift packaging, gifts and novelty items. They do sell some strange bits including coloured devil ducks and pirate plasters and other novelty items. They also have a very large range of Christmas items such as cards, gifts, decorations ... more

Advantages Advantages you can get some quirky gifts, good selection of paper

Disadvantages Disadvantages not easy to find

I thought I was seeing things in Leeds Station concourse when I saw the Paperchase sign. I had thought that this chain of shops had died a death years ago (I don't get out much...not)-Paperchase used to be THE shop for teenagers in Manchester, to buy posters for your wall, and cards and paper in multi colours..it was a great place to get pressies for your friends as well as a great place to meet them. I remember buying a little jumping Woodstock (the little yellow bird from Peanuts) from there..you wound it up and if hopped along, nodding its head...so SWEET! I also bought a huge poster of a ... more

I would just like to write a review on Paperchase, which is a national stationary chain which has only just within the past six weeks or so opened up a concession in one of our local Waterstones branches in Plymouth. By concession, I mean that it is a unit within an already established shop - similar I guess to those you see in Sainsbury's and suchlike behind the tills. They rent a small area within a shop, and sometimes they provide their own staff to man it - if not, then it is left up to the staff who are already working there to man it. But anyway, back to the subject matter at hand! As ... more

Advantages Advantages It's very very well stocked, very bright and cheery, very colourful! :)

Disadvantages Disadvantages A little too pricey!

I spend most of my day (when I'm not revising or attempting to blow up some lab) being creative and vaguely arty in some way, shape or form. Yesterday I painted a picture, last week I decorated a t-shirt and made an origami ball whilst dreaming up some more creative ideas to occupy my time before I start getting busy again. Of course, to acheive all these artistic flutters, I need to get my equipment from somewhere, and so this leads me to the wonderful shop known as Paperchase! :) Now from what I gather, Paperchase is stationary shop that specialises in nothing, and sells everything! I've ... more

Advantages Advantages large selection of products, lots of stores, stylish

Disadvantages Disadvantages not all staff are friendly

I worked at a Paperchase concession as my Saturday job for 15 months. (I'm a college student) Paperchase is easily identified by the purple swirly logo. Paperchase is an upmarket store selling fashion stationery and gifts. It's been trading for over 30 years and there are 63 stores including one in Singapore and are expanding more in 2004. There are different types of stores-individual stores, concessions in Borders Books and Music, selected House of Fraser stores and Selfridges. The two flagship stores Tottenham Court Road, London and St. Mary’s Gate, Manchester are massive. You can find a ... more

    Advantages Advantages wonderful quirky products

    Disadvantages Disadvantages a bit pricey

Paperchase is one of my favourite shops - at the risk of sounding incredibly guilty- I LOVE STATIONARY! By this I dont mean biros and boring pads of lined paper, but the pretty and quirky things that Paperchase sell. For anyone who has never heard of this shop or has never been in one before, Paperchase is one of the leading stores in quirky and design lead stationary. This is not all they sell however, they also sell cards, gift wrap, gift bags, diarys, teapots, tea towels, art supplies, ipod accessories, stickers and various other things. Many of they things they sell are also exclusive ... more

Advantages Advantages Wide range of products, reasonably priced, good customer service

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be squashed in the stores

At first I believed that Paperchase was just a shop with overpriced (but funky) stationery. After looking around I reaaly have changed my mind. You can find Paperchase products in their high-street stores, in House of Fraser or online at www.amazon.co.uk. I have never ordered them off the internet but as they are sold directly through amazon then I assume they are genuine. Paperchase stores are always laid out well although they have so many products that they can be squashed at times. Most of the products are sorted by either design or type. The nearest place for me is in my local House of ... more

I have to say I am a big fan of these shops so this may seem like a biased review to some Lovely eye catching layout and display of items the choice if stationery items is really good especially if you like nice writing paper & envelopes. There is no other shop localy where we can buy this type of quality. Our local Paperchase is just a small one in the corner of our local Borders Book shop, despite having not much room they have a good selection of items.
