PACK IT, WRAP IT, PARCELFORCE IT!

AdvantagesSimple online booking system; reliable service

DisadvantagesNone

"...company recommended by e-Bay was Parcelforce Worldwide, and on comparing their services, simple booking system and prices with those of a couple of other companies, I decided that Parcelforce Worldwide would be my choice. ***A Little Background Information On Parcelforce Worldwide*** ================================================== As part of the Royal Mail Group, Parcelforce Worldwide was formed a little over fourteen years ago to accommodate ..." May The Farce Be With You .....Or Not

AdvantagesNone

DisadvantagesReally poor customer services

"...to write a review about Parcelforce to warn others against using them. Although I realise some of you may have positive experiences with them unfortunately mine is a very negative one. However in the interests of this review I will be looking at both sides of the coin (the good and the not so good). ~What is Parcelforce~ ParcelForce is a local force in world delivery Parcelforce Worldwide is a leading provider of guaranteed express deliveries ..." Pass The Parcel

AdvantagesConvenience for our busy lives

DisadvantagesToo early to say

" I thought people might be interested in a new service being offered by Parcel Force in conjunction with Royal Mail and Post Office Counters Ltd. The service is called Post Office Local Collect and works as follows: We all lead such busy lives these days that many of us use catalogue companies and the Internet regularly for purchasing goods instead of trudging the High Street.I myself frequently buy items such as books, CDs and Health products ..." ParcelForce . No 'force' behind it at all!

AdvantagesCutomer service Dept (Head Office) seemed genuinely concerned

Disadvantagesbad service, rude staff, waste of money!!!

"...guess what my conclusion of ParcelForce is gonna be. Yep - RUBBISH! If you have a business or are thinking of using them, lets just say, THINK TWICE! - especailly the North London Depot because some of the staff and the service recieved is appalling! ..." Read review

May the farce be with you

Advantages Well - their vans are a nice colour

Disadvantagesyou don't actually get your parcel

"...think most people know that Parcelforce is basically the parcel delivery arm of the Royal Mail. The aim of the company is that someone posts a large item to you, and they deliver it. Well - not if you live where I do. The first problem I have with parcelforce is that one particular driver taps very quietly on my door, and then sticks a card through the letterbox before driving away. The only way I knew he was outside the one time, is because ..." Read review

Guaranteed Not To Get There Review with images

AdvantagesOther couriers available

DisadvantagesTerrible service & poor pricing

"...the world with the words PARCELFORCE WORLDWIDE emblazoned above it. This obviously gives the correct impression, in that there is no area beyond their means. This is directly from their site - 'Parcelforce Worldwide is a leading provider of guaranteed express deliveries covering all 27 million addresses in the UK and 99.6% of the world population' - I guess i must be on the 0.04 percentile! Also on their website, they have clearly handpicked opinions ..." Read review

That's ParcelFARCE

Advantagesnone that I can think of

Disadvantagestoo many to list

"Parcelforce Worldwide is, according to them, the UK's largest parcel carrier. They claim to deliver to 99.6% of the world's population and guarantee express delivery in over 200 countries, to be committed to customer service and to be able to give up-to-the-minute parcel tracking. Obviously, not in Buckinghamshire. Let me tell you first of my personal experience with Parcelforce. I recently got married and my husband and I chose to have ..." Read review

The worst company i have ever known

Advantagesnone

Disadvantageseverything.. absolutely everything

"...then got in touch with parcelforce who assured them that it had been delivered!! which obviously it hadn't, vodafone then appologised and sent out another phone... once again, i waited in all day, glued to the front window, looking out for them and once again .. nothing! phoned vodafone and the same story... they said it had been delieverd. Decided to give up which resulted in me losing my free mobile phone for the year. Although some lucky person ..." Read review

Parcelforce - let the farce be with you

Advantagesprice

DisadvantagesCUSTOMER SERVICE

"...their customers?? To be fair to parcelforce (there i said it) i have never used them to send a package, and to be honest never intend to (i think ill just carry it) so i can't really judge them on that side of the service. And i am sure that they do deliver thousands of packages every day on time and usually provide a good service. Has anyone experienced it? I would like to know! To sum up - parcelforce is a company that has a serious customer ..." Read review

PARCELFARCE

AdvantagesAs soon as I think of some I will tell you

DisadvantagesSlow, bad customer service, unreliable.

"...she sighs.” And then suggests ParcelForce rather than Royal Mail. This is for a couple of reasons one it will cost less and two it will cost less. So my brother trying to save me money (pocket the change) chooses this option. The nice woman behind the counter tells him that the parcel will be with me in three days. (I made all this up except for the three days bit. Well it added some feeling to it didn’t it) Three days later I rushed ..." Read review

Parcelfarce

AdvantagesI could always work there if I ever lost my marbles.

Disadvantagesthey don't do what they say they will

"...the area very well" (ie. Parcelforce drivers - owner: Royal Mail - cannot find the post office) "I don't know whether the parcel has been dropped off because the new drivers haven't been trained to use the electronic scanners". "We can't ring you back because every time we pick up the phone there's someone on the other end of it" and my favourite "Gawd knows when it will get there" I thought I might save myself a trip to the post office ..." Good in theory

Advantagesit turns up eventually

Disadvantageschaos, hassle, loss of time.

"but in practise? Hmmm. I think it all went wrong when they removed the parcel bit from the rest of the Post Office. At least then the organisation you gave your object and cash to was going to be the one you needed to complain to if/when things went wrong. OK, the theory then. Parcel Force deliver your parcels within the week. If you aren't in, they put a card through your door saying they've been and you weren't there, and offering solutions - ..." Read review

Parcelforce Customer Service I don't think so

AdvantagesNone

DisadvantagesPoor information given

"...then left a card by ParcelForce to go and collect it and pay a Customs charge. Now as the box contained personal effects and not 'gifts' to me ,there had obviously been a misunderstanding. Anyway, I was advised at the Parcelforce depot to take this up with Customs/Excise, asked to pay the charge and then reclaim it.HM Customs were easy and efficient to deal with. However , as the charge comprised part tax and part fee charged by Parcelforce this would ..." Read review

Slow and unhelpful

AdvantagesNot sure

DisadvantagesNo one in the company really cares

"I cannot believe how slow the service is. When you track a parcel they state it is loaded on the van for delivery but it does not get delivered, so you look the next day and the next day and it just goes on. If you phone the person looking after your enquire is no more useful than the web so why bother employing them? In the end you just sit waiting for the parcel to arrive hoping to God it hasn't got lost. I am told that the review needs to be longer ..." Read review

I am so mad with them

Advantagesnone

Disadvantageslate, lose parecels

" I have had a few parcels go astray when I have parcels are supposed to be sent to me but have never arrived. How odd and bizarre I think every time it happens. But, it happens. Last week I had some mew text books parcelled to me, and Parcel Force were going to deliver it for me. So, I stayed in waiting for them since they said it would arrive before 12pm, but it never arrived. While I was out at 2pm they had posted a card through the letterbox ..." Read review
