Advantages Advantages TASTES FANTASTIC WITH LEMONADE!

Disadvantages Disadvantages ELUSIVE IN THE UK!

Let me start by telling you a little story…. Once upon a time on a damp and rainy day in Cardiff, I went round to see my friend Hannah with plans for a dull and boring night in with a video (we were students and DVD players were expensive). Now what you have to appreciate about that dull and rainy day in Cardiff is that it was March. Of little significance you might think. But you would be wrong. What you have to understand about a dull and rainy day in Cardiff in March is that for a student who has been in Cardiff since mid-September, that dull and rainy day was about the 210th dull and rainy ... more

    Advantages Advantages Tastes great!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages none unless you drink too much

My friend introduced me to Passoa quite a while ago. I think she found it whilst on holiday somewhere nice. We had it in a pub with orange juice and plenty of ice, I'm a sucker for things weird and wonderful and the bottle was defiantly weird, I kept it in mind as I shop for the wine bar I work for in bookers the cash and carry. I got bought a litre bottle for my birthday from one of my friends, she got this in France I think, she must have heard me rant on about the stuff and decided to buy me one. I treat myself to a bottle from bookers every now and then and as the sun has been beaming down ... more

    Advantages Advantages light, fruity, refreshing

Disadvantages Disadvantages not going to get you drunk in a hurry?

So I like alcohol, doesn't everyone? Well maybe not, some people hate it but they won't be reading this to decide what to drink instead just because they like to read, so Hi to you teetotallers as well as you drinkers out there. Passoa, its not a commonly found drink in the UK, in fact I have seen in just one bar in Edinburgh over a year ago (Q Bar) and then again on the shelf in Asda when I was looking for something different to drink other than my usual vodka - I finally emptied my 3ltr Smirnoff bottle and really don't think I can face vodka for a few weeks now! Sorry thats not really ... more

5 Stars Mmm an exotic passion fruit liqueur! Review with images 26/07/2010

Advantages Advantages A liquor which whisks you away to a Carribean Island!

Disadvantages Disadvantages It is not as nice to drink by itself (not mixed)

If you are looking for a summery drink to transfer your mind to a tropical island then this is the one! ***What is Passoa?*** Passoa is an exotic liqueur from France. Passoa’s different flavours originate from various exotic fruits in Brazil. Passion fruit is the brands most famous flavour of Passoa. However it comes in a few other different flavours including: - Coco (coconut) - Mango - Anãnas (pineapple) ***Packaging*** It comes in a 70cl black bottle. It has different coloured fonts in yellow, red and orange for its name. The front states ‘Passoa, the passion drink.’ So it looks very ... more

Advantages Advantages lovely flavour, great for mixing

    Disadvantages Disadvantages the bottle?

What can I say? Passoa is my all time favourite alcoholic beverage – perhaps in part due to the fact that it is really difficult to find it in places – although increasingly you can find it in bars which claim a speciality in cocktails. I first found it a good couple of years ago whilst on holiday in Malta. I confess immediately drawn to the oh so slightly tacky black bottle with fluorescent palm trees. It was on special offer and by the end of the night I was hooked. It is a fruit based liqueur – the fruit in question is passion fruit although to be fair that is not immediately obvious to the ... more

    Advantages Advantages absolutely divine flavour

Disadvantages Disadvantages Possibly a chance ot a hangover

One of the presents I got for Christmas this year was a bottle of Passoa from my brother . I'd seen the glamourous dark black bottle with it's tropical sunset motif in my local supermarket many times, but I'm a bit wary of trying new spirits - they are so pricey for a bottle, and I'm loathe to spend the money in case I don't like them. However, I'm always delighted to recieve something new to try as a gift . The bottle is pretty glamourous and exotic looking - it's snart and attractive, and not something you'd be embarrassed to have amongst your booze selection . On the back ofthe bottle are a ... more

    Advantages Advantages the tropical taste

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not widely available

I first came across Passoa in my students union of all places. My friend handed it to me in a glass and asked me to take a sip as she thought it was delicous and from that moment on I was hooked. The name Passoa derives from a typical Latin Cocktail which gives you a hint about the taste. Made from passion fruits it has a distinctly tropical taste and smell. They describe it on the bottle as refreshing and exotic and this is enchanced further by the look of the bottle. Made of solid black glass (which means you can't see how much you have left) with Passoa printed in big yellow letters means ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages see op

After a hard night of working behind the bar we were all relaxing having our staff drink and normally i would have vodka or malibu but as i like to try a lot of the spirits and drinks we sell i decided to have passoa. PACKAGING Passoa comes in a black bottle which is quite unusual compared to most drinks that come in a clear bottle. The bottle looks flattened from the front and is almost square looking. It has a bright orange/ yellow picture of palm trees on the front which stands out alot on the black bottle and really grabs your attention. TASTE As soon as you open the bottle you smell the ... more

Passoa is a refreshing drink,I used to drink it with orange juice but changed to lemonade, what a transformation, brilliant.I can also drink it all night and dont feel drunk,My daughter encouraged me to try it but there is a snag,it's not served EVERYWHERE,which is a problem when you go to different pubs.I recomend it to all my friends but my husband didn't like to buy it for me when i was having it with orange juice as he said it was a waste of money cause of the lack of effect that it had on me but i didn't care cause of the taste but to keep the peace i was told to try it with lemonade and ... more
