This Pearl Belongs To Me

Advantages: White teeth, cleaner teeth, shinier teeth
Disadvantages: Use in addition to ordinary toothpaste

...I remember my dad getting pearl drops. I don't know why, but I wanted to use it. I'd ask my dad if I could use it and usually he would refuse me saying I was too young to be using it. It seems silly looking back on it now why I wanted to use it in the first place. Usually kids go after sweets, but I wanted to try Pearl Drops. I think what attracted me to the bottle was the way it used to stand it looked so neat. The colours attracted me too. It ...
...since childhood I didn't use pearl drops again until about a month ago. I couldn't believe it when I saw it in the shops I had no idea that it was still being made. So obviously when I found it again after all those years I jumped at the chance of buying it the added bonus of it being in my local pound shop. I was reunited with my beloved Pearl Drops and now it was all mine to use, oh well apart from having to share it with my husband. I don’t count ...

Might they turn white?

Advantages: Money back
Disadvantages: Need for money back

Pearl Drops: Pearl Drops is a tooth whitening polish, made by Carter Products LTD. I am always quite sceptical when it comes to these magic formulas which make you more beautiful, but this one in particular intrigued me. I usually like to think of myself as quite thick-skinned when it comes to being influenced by advertising. I have to say, however, that the Pearl Drops commercial got me hook, line and sinker. They offered guaranteed whiter teeth ...
...Boots where I bought the Pearl Drops for £3.99. This is a reasonable price, though you have to take into account that there is only 50ml of the stuff, which is not very much at all. I suppose the container is quite unique. Having opened the box you find an upside down triangle shape resting upon a pedestal. This is a very simple yet clever design, because there is no squeezing needed to get the paste out, as gravity does all the hard work. It's very ...

Pearl Drops Whitening Toothpolish

Advantages: Readily available, white teeth
Disadvantages: need to use normal toothpaste as well

Until recently I used Pearl Drops Whitening Toothpolish on a daily basis - I don't use it daily anymore but on to that later. The ideal behind this product is that as it states it "Gently removes stains for natural whiteness." Considering my teeth are not in bad condition (no fillings etc) they still needed a bit of whitening. This is readily available in chemists and all supermarkets and is in very disctinctive packaging and is £2.39 in my local ...
...The tube has a big Pearl Drops logo emblazoned on it so would be hard to miss on the shop shelves. I find it interesting that this is not marketed as a toothpaste but as a toothpolish. I have certainly found that this is not a product that I would actually use to clean my teeth. Normal toothpaste lathers up nicely when you use it but I found that Pearl Drops do not and in order to make my teeth feel really clean and fresh i need to use a normal ...

...found my mum looking at Pearl drops, I thought it was a load of rubbish. I thought it would do the same job as Colgate Whitening toothpaste but I was persuaded to give it a try! Just a few days after using Pear Drops, I felt happier with my teeth and surprisingly, my gums were feeling better to. A while before my gums started bleeding an awful lot and after getting treatment for them, they were fine. They were still a bit sore when eating or drinking ...

Flash those Pearlies luv!

Advantages: Fresh Breath, Clean Teeth, Improved Whiteness
Disadvantages: May be Abrasive

...this, instead of my usual pearl drops tooth polish, and by the time i had checked my receipt, i had already walked out of Tescos with it. so although, reasonably happy with the colour of my teeth, I thought i’d give it a whirl… no harm done if it didn’t work. Perhaps my mistake could be put down bad packaging design- Both the tooth polish and tooth whitener are extremely similar in appearance. *** The Packaging*** Pearl drops whitening toothpaste ...

Whiter than white

Advantages: whiter teeth
Disadvantages: expensive

...drink tea/coffee. She recommended pearl drops daily whitening tooth polish so I popped to the co-op and purchased it for the rather steep price of £3.99! Expensive I know but worth a try. In the box you get a colour chart to compare the colour of your teeth now to the colour of your teeth in say three weeks time so you can prove it works. They claim that you will notice the difference after two weeks and do offer a money back guarantee as long as ...
...that is valid for cause I’ve chucked the box! Duh! The product comes in a white tube with a screw cap that stands on its head so to speak, do not turn it upside down else you will never get the toothpaste out! The product contains no bleach or abrasives but does contain fluoride to strength tooth enamel. Anyway enough about what it looks like the question is does it work? Well the answer is yes I have noticed a slight improvement but don’t forget ...

Clean and white is not all

Advantages: clean, white teeth
Disadvantages: thinning tooth enamel

I used Pearl Drops regularly for a while and I was impressed by how white and clean my teeth were. When I went to work for a dentist however, my opinion of Pearl Drops changed. I loved the fresh taste and the fact that it actually left my teeth clean as it proclaims to do. That is, until I found out that prolonged use diminishes the enamel on your teeth! This product gradually wears away the outer coating of tooth enamel and leaves the teeth weaker ...
...used. I admit that Pearl Drops is reasonably priced and the container appears to be more practical than conventional tubes. It does exactly what it says - cleans and whitens teeth, but it doesn't tell you the possible downfalls of regular use. Having healthy teeth and gums is a bigger priority for me than "pearly whites". I won't use this product again. ...

For white teeth UPDATED

Advantages: Good price, good taste, white teeth!
Disadvantages: None

...behold I found some Spearmint Pearl Drops in my local Tesco's. I was so chuffed that I thought I would write an opinion about it - only to find that I had already done so. If you can call it an opinion that is! I have left it at the bottom of this page in all it's glory - short and sweet or what? Anyway not only had Tesco's begun stocking my favourite toothpaste but it was on offer as two for the price of one - it just had to be didn't it? Special ...
...50ml toothpastes for £1.45. Pearl Drops is available in either spearmint or freshmint flavours, but I prefer the spearmint as I'm not keen on the taste of peppermint at all. The toothpaste itself comes in a small triangular container about 4" high. It stands on its cap so it is easy to use, as the toothpaste runs to the open end of the container if you see what I mean. You are advised to use a 'large drop' of Pearl Drops on your toothbrush and ...

Disadvantages: bit pricy

I bought my husband this toothpaste at weekend as he is a smoker and started to develop stains on his teeth and I knew this toothpaste has a reputation for removing stains, I chose the ice mint range rather than sensitive at the moment it is £2.99 per tube but Superdrug have an offer of buy one get one free at present. Wotta load of rubbish!!

Advantages: NO DIFFERENCE!!
Disadvantages: Too expensive!!

Since Ive seen Pearl drops advertised in my magazine Ive always wanted some. The model had lovely teeth and I wanted the same because however I scrub my teeth they stay the same. The only thing stopping me from getting my toothpaste was the £3.99 price tag! So when I saw it for buy one get one free in boots I was really pleased. They sell it for smokers too but I dont smoke so I chose the original stuff. I went to pay for it and felt very proud ...
...for spending that much money on toothpaste. I really believed it would work though. Im going to have a tatoo on my head telling me not to be so gullible. I opened it up and found a little credit card sized piece of plastic. It had differnt colours on it. You had to match what colour your teeth were to it. Im not telling you what mine were but they were suprisingly light on the card scale! Once I had recorded this I put a rather large sized blob on ...

Advantages: Nice Packaging, User Friendly Bottle
Disadvantages: It Doesn't Work !

...to get the low-down on Pearl Drops. I asked my dentist, Mr. Horton, if he recommended the product, he told me straightaway “no!” He said that, while initially you may get a slight improvement, that you are in fact brushing away the enamel on your teeth, as Pearl Drops are quite an abrasive mixture. That’s how they claim to whiten your teeth, as they strip the top discoloured layer off revealing a fresh layer of enamel underneath. ...
...After a month of using Pearl Drops I feel that it may have made a slight difference to my teeth, but I didn’t have the sparkly, white teeth I was hoping for. So I shan’t be buying another bottle, although if I had seen more of a noticeable difference and it wasn’t stripping the enamel off my teeth I would have happily handed over £3.99 a month forever! They say to never trust these miracle products being advertised. But then, I ...

How white is white?

Advantages: It works
Disadvantages: Its not the best

I started using 'Pearl Drops Toothpolish' in 'freshmint' around 3 months ago. After all the television ads I thought it would be really expensive but I was suprised to see it on sale for £1. I have only seen it for sale WITHOUT the strip advertised on t.v that allows you to look at your progress by comparing with different colours, so it is probably would have been more expensive if I bought in the new packaging etc. Initailly the product is in ...

The front label simply states the products name and flavour. I believe that as well as 'freshmint' there is 'spearmint' and 'anti-tobacco' available. The rear label states that 'Pearl Drops help brush teeth their whitest, brightest, smoothest, and shiniest, to give you ...

Sparkly Clean!

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

I have tried a range of toothpastes to try and cure my problem but Pearldrops has been by far the most effective. You see, I had a fixed brace for 3 years and unfortunately when it was removed I had small yello stains on the centres of my teeth. Couple that with the fact that I am smoker and you can imagine why it seems to be a desperate struggle to make my teeth look white. However, Pearldrops is really very good, it tastes great, unlike many toothpastes ...
