Pentax Optio M40

I have had this camera for a little over 2 months now and it is by far the best camera i have ever owned. I take it everywhere with me and i have captured some brilliant images on it; both still and video clips. It is of a sleek and compact design, and sits nicely in the bottom of my handbag without weighing me down! Having owned this camera for a couple of years now i have to say that for taking pictures of landscapes and other large far away objects that don't use the zoom it is good. However it seems to have trouble taking pictures of things that are nearby, i've tried many differn't settings including auto in case it was my fault for exploring the menus but i always feel slightly let down by the pictures of nearby objects. Review of Pentax Optio M40

I was so excited to buy this camera BUT I am really disappointed with the quality of photos taken indoors, both using the flash and in good daylight. Pictures taken outdoors were excellent but the photos taken indoors were very grainy. I took photos with both my cameras (old one being a 4 megapixal Samsung) and sent them both to the same developer on the same day. The indoor photos from the Pentax were grainy whilst my old camera's indoor photos were excellent. I'm very disappointed. ...
