Advantages: Handy size, well built Disadvantages: poor flash
I have owned this camera for 12 months. The picture quality is very good, and it can be used easily - more or less the same as a point and shoot camera. The viewing screen is large enough, and the menu is easy to use. It seems to be shock resistant ! I dropped mine onto a tarmac road and it remained intact and in working condition.
It is a great camera to keep in your pocket or handbag, and can be ready to shoot in a couple of seconds. Never miss ...

Advantages: Easy to use, big LCD screen Disadvantages: Proprietary battery
I have had this camera for a while now and apart from the battery needing to be charged, I yet to find anything to maon about.
Out of the box it is to use with all the pre-sets. The menu's are reasonably intuitive and the screen us great. It uses the SD type memory card which I believe tends to less expensive than most other cards. I have put in a 512mb card and still haven't filled it.
I like the "quick delete" button where you can immediately ... ...The connection to the PC is through an USB and is very easy to set up. Some software is included, but it is the most basic and a more sophisticated software may be necessary for more effects.
The camera is feature rich, and as you get more confident you can get more creative or use more of the pre-programmed features. I think it is pitched at just below the SLR pro-sumer cameras but it is excellent value. The only thing to bear in mind is a spare ...

This camera is both stylish and compact making it a must for anyone looking for a 5 mega-pixel digital camera. The screen size is amazing, but this means that there is no viewfinder so in dim light it can be more difficult to set up your shot. I have owned this camera for nearly a year now and consider it to be the best camera purchase I ever made.
The pictures are fantastic quality and the zoom is much better than you think it is going to be.
Capable of recording aswell its great for quick videos for those treasured moments and save on carrying a damn camcorder around with you.
The only downside is you need to purchase a good memory card otherwise you will only be able to take a few ...

...note is the fact that Pentax have replaced the flimsy mechanism for the battery and memory card cover which this range of cameras used to suffer from, with a much more sturdy and durable hinged mechanism.
Overall the camera is an extremely high quality product, and has some significant, if minor improvements over previous models in the range. Definitely a good buy. ...
