...chart topper. After much anticipation, Perfect Dark, which was dubbed as the sequel to the Nintendo 64 game, “Goldeneye", was finally released. Both Perfect Dark, and Goldeneye, were created by the British gaming company Rare, which also have created such games as Star Fox Adventures, Banjo Kazooie and the Donkey Kong series. The first person view shooting game based on the story of 'Goldeneye' (the James Bond film) was and still will remain to ...
...the James Bond one, and Perfect Dark needed an equally as catchy sound track. It sure got one! A rocky futuristic theme, everyone that I know has heard the music to it claim that it is one of their favourite tracks from the game. Each level also has its own atmospheric soundtrack, and when the danger increases, you get a speeded up more intense version of the music to get that adrenalin pumping. The music alone of this game is fantastic and very ...

Good Morning Agent Dark

Advantages: A stunning game with more options than you'll ever need
Disadvantages: A daft plot for solo missions and some very hard parts

...The RAM pack. ============= Perfect Dark was the second game after Donkey Kong to require the N64 RAM pack add-on. By increasing the N64’s memory the pack allows for extra graphical touches and more content to the games. Despite the extra cost it is definitely good purchase, especially as only 30% of this awesome game is playable without it. ...addition. Training. ========= Perfect Dark has a unique training mode. You get a guided tour of the institute and you get to try out the moves and weapons. However this is no linear training level, you can roam the centre freely, try out a few challenges, go to the shooting range and even earn cheats here. Well set out and nicely done, this is like a game on its own. Gameplay: Single Player. ======================== Goldeneye wasn’t ...

...their successor to Goldeneye 007: Perfect Dark. The greatest aspect of Goldeneye 007 was the multiplayer mode, so why the would Rare leave it out of this game? They didn't, in fact they even added a whole lot more depth to it. Now instead of just one multiplayer mode, Rare has added 3 different modes that Multiple players can play together. One thing I wish Rare could have added was the addition of Joanna's sister to the story, when playing in Co-Op it totally leaves her out of all the cinemas and everything from the story. This is my second favorite multiplayer mode in the game. Combat Simulator Combat simulator is the funnest multiplayer ...

You can have a multi-player battle on your own. Has he gone crazy you ask? Well...yes, but its still true. You can play against "Sims" computer generated multi-player simulants. You can set these from as easy as pie...to deadly, if you want to test your self. ...

...king of first person shooters, Perfect Dark. Perfect Dark has a similar play style to Bond, but everything has improved, and I mean big time. The Golden Eye arsenal? Weak! Compared to Perfect Dark's plethora of guns. The game has 40+ weapons, including some of Bond's best ones. You've got some totally ruthless tools to use. I'll mention some of my favorites. There is the tranquilizer gun, which can come in particularly handy in the multiplayer. You ...
...mission. Not the case with Perfect Dark. I've had this game since last summer, and I still haven't beaten it. Why? Cause it's REALLY hard. If I have any complaint, it's that this game is too challenging. Remember in Golden Eye how all the bad guys looked the same? Not the case with Perfect Dark each enemy has their own unique face. I think it's awesome, but I think this perhaps could be bad for little kids. What if a little kid runs into a guard ...

...first person action shooter of Perfect Dark. Rareware’s best ever game comes in the form of one woman, Joanna Dark, with more extra features than Cilla Black's had facelifts. Perfect Dark? I love the game. As you probably know this is the unofficial sequel to GoldenEye. Unofficial meaning it is made with the same engine and by Rare, but it has nothing to do with James Bond. If you are like me with no brothers or sisters willing to play you on the computer, and you have owned GoldenEye then, no doubt you will love this game. My problem with GoldenEye was, once you have completed the Single player game, then the only thing ...

You can have up to eight included in a multiplayer game, and that’s eight with all four human players too. The thing, which makes them special, is that they can be set at different difficulty settings and also they can represent a number of different characteristics. For ...

...exactly what they did. Perfect Dark contains the same mix of stealth and guns that made Goldeneye so good, only this time without the constraints of having to follow a plot, with specific locations. This is both the games best and worst feature. The single player missions follow an alien plot to replace the President with an evil clone, and use him to wage war on another alien race, the Maians. Your role, as Joanna ‘Perfect’ Dark, is ...
...It cannot be ignored that this storyline is without question one of the worst I’ve seen in any FPS, and is the single player game’s downfall, moving too far into alien territory with their guns, and ‘Skedar’ enemies instead of humans. Aside from this though, the game cannot really be faulted. The game puts the RAM expansion to full use to squeeze maximum detail into the superbly designed levels. The best feature however, is ...

After playing this game for around 5 mins, you may well wonder why it feels so incredibly similar to Goldeneye. Or you may not. It all depends on how much you know about this game, and if you don't know much then that's why you're reading this review.
