...:-) Don't let the Peugeot official performance figures put you off. Whilst Citroen claim 7.2secs as their figure for the Saxo, Peugeot claim 8.5secs. I experimented with a car acceleration Gforce sensor recently. Without too much trouble I recorded a 0-60 of 7.6secs Top speed is 125mph or so. Ok let me start this review by saying WOW!! This car really is a dream to drive. I have owned my 106 GTI for about 9 months now and I can tell you it is the best car I have ever driven. I do about 300 miles on a full tank which cos about £30 to fill up (and thats with having a little fun)! ;) ENGINE, BRAKES & WHEELS ----------------------------------------- This car gives you the best of both worlds with responce when you need it and great fuel ...

I have had two 306 GTI-6's and this little sister packs in all the fun of those cars without the price tag [and comfort]. These cars are absolutly great fun to drive, not for people who want to enjoy their ride though. I have 3 Pugs, the GTi being the best of the lot!!! I have 2 Modded and 1 standard, the GTi has been modded with a SMALL budget of ONLY 10k..... oops. Just purchased a Peugeot 106 Gti. What a fun little car this is! I bought this car off a good mate of mine and i have only had one problem with it... so far. The rear axle bushes have gone on one side, which is causing the car to feel "loose" when taking corners at speed (On a track of course :-] ) and one of the big problems about this is that they are supposed to be a big job to change, unless you buy a new rear axle. But, enough on the problem ...
...to drive! it is small, quick and agile. The fuel consumption is pretty good, if you take it easy on the accelerator. One thing that i really like about this car is that if you can pick one up for a small amount of money, and it is free from modifications and "boy racer" parts, you can easily make money on it!
