    Advantages Advantages Attractive, economical, spacious.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lots of blind spots due to large side columns.

I bought my 206 1.1 Lx 3 door hatchback, over 3 years ago. I have been extremely impressed with the car, and have felt no need to change viechle. Not only is the 206 a beautifully designed car, it is also very quiet and comfortable to drive. I opted for the smaller 1.1i engine, and was suprised how 'nippy' the car was and how fuel efficent it was, £12.00 would take me around 100miles on average. This car also has alterior benefits such as cheap insurance and tax, which is a brilliant quality if looking for your first car. The added details such as the hidden storage box below the passanger ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks Good, Reliable, Easy to Maintain, Good MPG, Roomy! Comfy!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Rear window demisters loose effectiveness after time

Before i go into the car itself let me talk about the value I bought a 1999 206 LX in 2003. for €9,750!! I got it valued today two years on, for €7,500 trade in!! Now those who know, thats a fantastic depreciation for any car! The 206 holds it value and is totally resellable! Lets talk about performance. Top speed 110mph (at a push for the 1.1l) Very nippy from the get go and does 70mph no problems. So its perfect for catching traffic lights and long distance drives!! the power steering is spot on and the 206's turning circle is so tight you can get out of most tight spots the urban jungle can ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice looking, good on fuel

Disadvantages Disadvantages front seats break easy, doesn't like car washes!

Well, i am now approaching the end of my first year with my rather wonderful Peugeot 206 and i think i have definately found not only the drive of my life, but the love of my life! I went to my local dealer, being John Pease Peugeot in Braintree in Essex with my heart set on a 206, but it had to have air conditioning and free insurance. After speaking to a extremley helpful and friendly salesman and going for a test drive, i decided on the Look model in metallic agean blue. Not only did i get 2 years free insurance and free metallic paint, the dealer threw in as a bonus free alloy wheels and ... more

Advantages Advantages Economic, comfortable, well equiped, stylish

Disadvantages Disadvantages Limited choice of colours, poor performance on steep hills

My wife and I bought this car at the beginning of April 2004. We were very impressed with the level of service given to us by the dealer (Peter Ambrose of Castleford). The car comes with a CD player, sports seats and front fog lights. I normally drive a Citreon Xantia so am used to large cars. I found that the drivers area was spacious and the seats supported me very well. The car is very easy to drive with the pedals offering up just enough resistance not to feel soft. The steering is pretty good as is the road handling. The engine is responsive though I have noticed a tendancy to need to ... more

Advantages Advantages low tax and insurance, cheap to run

Disadvantages Disadvantages durability of body work could be improved.

206 1.1LX, nippy in lower gears and an ideal first car. The 206 is a fantastic example of a peugeot, with its style and comfort you couldn't ask for a better car. This was my first car, as it has a low tax and insurance rate, and I would definately consider another. With driver and passenger airbags with the option of turning this off if carrying a childs seat , this car seems to be one of the safest on the market. This car has a very large sunroof, which fully opens electronically, doesn't leak and in the summer is an absolute marvel when driving on the motorway. This car features reclinable ... more

    Advantages Advantages Compact and stylish

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Steamy Windows!

I bought my two year old 206 1.1 'Look' for £7k in January 04 and so far so good. Since buying, I've noticed just how many there are on the road, and I can understand why. The 206 has nothing offensive about its appearance, and its performance for its engine capacity is outstanding. As all cars the 1.1 engine means that it's in the lowest tax bracket and car insurance is minimal. Petrol consumption is good meaning it's very economical on overall running costs. The interior is tidy and well designed with nice little touches, such as the chrome gear knob. Both the steering wheel and driver seat ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap insurance, well built, good looking

    Disadvantages Disadvantages a bit sluggish

I bought my 206 fever from new in april 2004, its a great little car. Inside: It has a respectable cloth, unlike some of the horrible colours you see on some of them. A great amount of legroom on the inside, and for the passengers in the back. The front passenger and drivers cabin seams massive, you can barly see over the front of the car, your so far back. It comes with rear opening windows, and electic front windows, which have a horrible button cluster to open them up. There is a great sound system, with 6 speakers, which gives a great quality sound output, and a great stick on the stering ... more

    Advantages Advantages Economical, reliable, roomy

Disadvantages Disadvantages Engine size may not be suffice for some

As my first car I have to say that I really do love my peugeot - brilliant to learn to drive in and even took my test in it. I bought it second hand (it's a 53 plate) and have experienced no problems with it so far, so would say it is very reliable. The engine size, although small, is adequate and I have had people comment that for having such a small engine it is most definitely not a slow car - and is also very fuel ecomical - this being a major advantage with today's fuel prices. The interior is brilliant, one of my friends prefers it to her much newer corsa and the little extras which it ... more

    Advantages Advantages Nice car

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Dodgy electrics

I've had my 206 for 3 and a half years now. On the whole, it's been a good car, apart from some niggly problems with the electrics. The car itself is pretty small, there's not a lot of leg room in the back seat, although the boot is fairly spacious. However, being short, I find the pedals are ideal, but those taller than me complains about the short space between the pedals and the seats. It's a easy car to drive, and a smooth ride. There's not a lot of power from the engine though, it's more a city car, and not really ideal for long journeys, as the car revs quite high at higher speeds. It is ... more
