Advantages: easy to park and drive

...we could upgrade to a Peugeot convertible!! Who am I to complain!!! So we paid the extra and got the keys. Wow what a weekend of fun! Now for what you’re reading this for!… ________________ The Car - overview:- ________________ Being a 206, from the front it looks exactly like a normal 206 but from the back its totally different. With its beautifully crafted curves and aerodynamic lines the boot having incy wincy little spoilers on either side ...
...lights set in it and low profile tyres and alloy wheels as part of the package it truly looks a stunning little car. Sitting squat on the road thanks to the low profiles, it looks quite a formidable little beast coming towards you. And trust me…its not!!!! It is quite small and compact and I would put it in the same class as a VW Polo although it is slightly bigger than a Polo. The Allure 16v is a special edition but is only a 1.6 and is ever so ...

The 206CC 1.6 16v Allure....Isn't it beautiful!?....well.....yes!! I bought mine only three weeks ago, and I'm impressed. Well I suppose I should be, I'm only 20 years old and I'm in a £16k convertible. It's black with black and red leather interior.....it's lovely! Ok where do I start, well firstly the exterior. Its gorgeous metallic paint, no matter what colour you choose will always be turning heads as you drive down the high street. If your ...
...as you think, it's only a few inches longer than the normal 206 hatchback. It can be a bit blind just on the corners of the boot. But when your roofs down you can see everything!! The lights - depending on the year of your car, depends on your style of lights. Mine is 2004(04) so it has the angel eye headlights and the spot & moon tail lights. There is an additional break light at eye level in the middle of the boot for following drivers. Interior ...

...no, would I buy from Peugeot again, no probably not - the garage has put me off with their laid back approach to customer service and lack of respect for customers cars whilst in there possession. It is a fun car, and ideal for someone without kids. Anyone that has one should make the most of it during the summer months because in the winter you will get pay back with leaks and whistling. ...

I like driving in my car!!!

Advantages: Looks great, nippy to drive
Disadvantages: Bit dear on fuel, can be noisy!

I have had my Peugeot 206 CC for approximately 2 years now and overall I am very satisfied with it. I have the 1.6 16v allure model. This comes with alloys and leather interior as standard, which I think complements the overall look of the car and having seen the models without the alloy wheels, I think that it's a nice finishing touch. The interior is quite roomy at the front, but unfortunately the same cannot be said for the back! I did actually ...
...not a problem for me. Overall, I think that the styling inside the car is very good, it looks expensive, not plastic and cheap. This model comes with full electrics, A/C, immobiliser, alarm, cd, RDS radio, side and twin airbags all as standard. You can work the radio/cd by using a stalk similar to an indicator next to the steering wheel which is a nice touch too! The car has a top speed of 120mph, reaching 0-60mph in 11 seconds and gives you approx ...

I've had my 206cc for almost two years now, and the only thing I would change it for is another one! I've owned a couple of Peugeots, but this has been the most fun. The 206 cc is supposed to be a 2+ 2 passengers (four seater) car, but to sit in the back you either have to be very small or an expert in yoga. The back seats are fine for short journeys, but anything longer than half an hour and say goodbye to the feeling in your legs. That said, they ...
...equivelants like the Mazda MX5, the MGF and Mercedez SLK. The boot is supprisingly spacious, and even with the roof down there's enough space to put a large suitcase. In the boot you'll find a helpful safety screen (looks a bit like a blind) which gives you the maximum load level for if you want to put the roof down. In fact, the roof won't work without the screen being in place. The roof is automatic, and retracts and recovers at a press of a ...

My heater broke and when I took the car in to my local dealership they fixed it but then the heater was stuck on full blast plus the indicators had stopped working as had the remote locking. This review is very much of a sons review, in the fact that my mum has one of these cars. I figure this will be useful as botha review of the car from a driving point of view as i have driven it, and a sons point of view for mothers to consider. First of all, in my opinion, this is not a beautiful car, however for the price, you wont get a nicer convertable. The interior is shody, plastic and not well constructed, and i found that my feet caught ...
...Having said that, this car is fast, and if you get the diesel, it is very efficient, i think my mum gets around 60 mpg out of hers, which is very good. From a sons point of view, it is not a nice car to be driven in, and having the top down when you are not driving is a bit dodgy ground. Like most convertables, you cannot fit anything in the back, and when the top is down, the boot is tiny. My advice would be to go for a different car, the drive ...

The Automatic option

Advantages: Neat and compact convertible, technically superb roof mechanism.
Disadvantages: Model superceded with a new look

I have a 1.6 Automatic Allure - an excellent fun two seater with a touch of class - leather seats and handy stalk control of a really excellent JBC entertainment system. Despite having four seats, this car does not seat four. A driver over six feet tall with the seat right back leaves no leg room even for a child. Treat this car as a two seater and you won't be disappointed with your choice. Buyers (and quite a number of owners!) also need to be ...
...spare wheel. If a tyre gets a puncture and goes flat at speed, you will probably not notice it until too late (they are low profile after all). It is likely the tyre will burn out or shred - and with no spare you will be totally stranded as well as much out of pocket - (they are expensive tyres) Note that the later 207cc did away totally with the two roof catches. If these are opened on the 206cc and you exit the car to fix the boot divider into ...

Advantages: Hard top roof.
Disadvantages: I can't fit my friends in, but who cares I'm driving!

Not overly convinced by "MandaMay"s comments about insurance. I got insured on my 206cc 1.6 (Group 12) at 21 through Admiral for about £1,100. Although this was a little pricey at the time, after 1 years no claims this price went down to less than £600 and I've since joined Elephant (their sister company) for another c£75 less! A brilliant car for driving around town, although getting a little common now. I purchased mine before they came out in ...
...would be limited supply to the UK! A likely story! The boot space is very good for the car in general, you can even fit a set of golf clubs and trolley in the boot which you can't do with Clios or Polos....so there are some advantages considering the lack of back seat space. One thing I recommend is testing the roof every few months as the mechanics do get a bit stiff. Mine has got stuck before but not so that it became a problem (I hadn't used ...

Hard top to no top in 30 seconds!

Advantages: Electric roof, looks fab, big comfy seats (in front!)
Disadvantages: Insurance group

I've had my 206cc 1.6 (silver) for just about a year now, and the only other car I'd consider swapping it for at the moment is a black one! The roof is fantastic - undo 2 clips, press the button and you've got a convertible in less than 30 seconds. As the windscreen is so curved you get real good cover from the wind, and with the windows up at the side it's even good enough to drive on a busy motorway - just turn the stereo up a bit! The seats ...
...get aches and pains when sat in traffic! The seats in the back though, don't really fit a fully grown person, as the front seats virtually touch the back. The back seats are fine for kids, but if you have a baby, bear in mind that the only place you can fit a child seat is on the front passenger seat (so Dad would have to try to fit in the back!). Suprisingly, the boot is quite big and can easily fit a large suitcase. Can also fit quite alot in ...

Go on.. try it out!

Advantages: Hard roof, topless driving
Disadvantages: Squeaky brakes

I've had my CC for about 18mths now and its the best car I've ever had. If you want to have the benefits of topless driving without a) worries about getting your roof slashed and b) it being cold in the winter then this is the car for you. There are downfalls of owing the car - but so far the only bad thing happened with me is squeaky brakes. My friends who also own a CC have suffered problems with leaks but its a small price to pay for such a ...
