    Advantages Advantages Fun, reliable, comfortable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive to run

I have a black Peugeot 206cc Allure 2.0. It is a 2003 registered model, and I have owned it since 2009. I have always wanted a convertible, and once I no longer needed a family type larger car, this was always the model that I had seen and liked. Most importantly, it was in my price range. My car had been extremely well maintained, and had low mileage, so even now it looks much newer than it actually is. It is a pretty looking car, but definitely a ladies car in my eyes. My husband will only drive it as a last resort, and I always find it odd when I see men driving this model. Interior My ... more

Advantages Advantages Superb roof system, gooid engine, amazing price.

Disadvantages Disadvantages No real back seats. Fairly major vibrations during driving.

I was completely shocked to find that not a single person had written a review on this car. It is surely one of the most exciting cars on the market. In fact, very few people appear to have written reviews on cars at all. Come on folks, get writing about your cars... Anyway, the Peugeot 206CC, or Coupe Cabriolet, is, as first glance, a slightly perculiar looking car. It clearly has the standard 206 front end, but the back end is a little strange, and while being unique and fairly streamlined, it is not the most attractive rear end I have ever seen. There is of course a good reason for its ... more

Advantages Advantages Look good in it !

Disadvantages Disadvantages Uncomfortable for long rides.

I have worked my way up to my dream car, the 206cc after having the 106 and 206. I am extremely pleased. We have moved over to New Zealand for a while and are enjoying the benefits of having a convertible. Here I would recommend this vehicle, however, don't think I'd get much use from it in the UK. I have an automatic which can still be driven by using the computerised gears. Can be a bit sluggish starting off and doesn't tend to drop down as much as you'd want it to, ie. drops down to gear 3 when turning a corner when it should be in gear 2, which obviously makes it a bit sluggish. Am used to ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks great, doesn't look like a convertable with the roof up

Disadvantages Disadvantages Uncomfortable drive, poor performance, poor service from the dealers

I bought my 206cc in May 2002 from an import dealer in Northwich, Cheshire because I fell in love with it the second I saw it. I have never seen another car that is as good looking (in my opinion) as the 206 cc, except for the Mercedes SLK. I absolutely loved owning and driving it for the first week, the convenience of having a hard top in the rain and a convertable in the sun is truly fantastic. But then the brakes started to squeak. I took it to the dealer immediately and then the nightmare began. Because it's an import I had to provide lots of paperwork and sign loads of documentation ... more

    Advantages Advantages The Roof, Reliability

Disadvantages Disadvantages Back seats are a joke

I have now owned my 206cc for 3 years and still smile like a fool when I put the roof down while queuing on the motorway (roof can be put down whilst driving at speeds of up to 10mph approx). I previously owned an MGF, which was great fun but spent 12 weeks in the garage over a two-year period so when I traded it in I was looking for a reliable convertible. I have previously driven the 306 Turbo Diesel (company car) and found the reliability very good so I was hoping for the same from the 206cc, I have to be honest bar a few niggles the car has been great. Its currently done 34,000 miles and I ... more

Advantages Advantages The roof - excellent on sunny days

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Leaks

I have owned my Peugeot 206cc 2.0 for eighteen months and so i've had plenty of time to get to know my car. Before i had a 1litre Volkswagen Polo, so i wanted something a bit more stylish and with a bit of a kick. The Peugeot 206cc has delivered that. I started looking for a new car, knowing i wanted a convertable and so i was looking for something attractive and modern but at a decent price. After looking at cars matching my criteria, i found the Peugeot 206cc was a step ahead of the rest of the field. So i now had to pick my model. I got the 2.0 litre model as i wanted to experience a new ... more

Advantages Advantages Good to drive in summer

Disadvantages Disadvantages Awful to drive in winter

I bought a Peugeaot 206cc about 2 years ago now as I wanted something stylish yet cheap. When i first got the car i couln't be happier driving round with the roof down in glorious sunshire - it was brilliant. I bought the card second hand privately as it was cheaper, about a month after owning the car i noticed the floor behind the passenger seat was soaked, next time it rained i went to have a look and the roof was leaking quite badly. I took the card to a garage who quoted me just £800 for 3 seals which needed replacing! I shopped around and found a garage that would do it for £600, although ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice car, delight to drive, fun

Disadvantages Disadvantages boot mesh has to be engaged

My first surprise was a dealer let a 17 year old that passed his test 2 weeks ago, drive an 05 plate 2.0 litre Peugeot 206cc. Given I look older, and he didn't check the date of birth on my license, but I am glad as it really was a delight to drive. Room in the back is hugely limited, although for short journeys it would be acceptable, especially considering the type of car. The 2.0litre engine provides a nice amount of power and its a nice nippy car, comfortably leather seats, the roof reclines easily (although I will admit this is the first convertible I have ever been in so it may have been ... more

Advantages Advantages A convertable in disguise! Two cars in one.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Minor cosmetic problems, poor aftersales service

As soon as I purchased my first soft-top - I was hooked. On looking for my nice new car last year I hadn't really thought about this one. I didn't initially like the look of it (thought it looked back-to-front), but my other half was insistant that I took a test drive. I drove it - I loved it. The hard roof that folds down into the spacious boot is a great way to entertain the kids! I went for the 2 litre, with red and black leather trim (slighly regreting that option now). There is the choice of having the standard lights, or the rounded ones, and there are many other extras. However, after ... more

    Advantages Advantages Convertible, power, spec

    Disadvantages Disadvantages rattle and shake

This was the car I wanted from the moment Peugeot advertised it, and I can't say I've really regretted it despite one or two problems. Being able to remove the roof makes up for everything. I got the 2litre because I wanted the extra power, it is a heavy car. Driving in Scotland, being able to roar up the hills overtaking all the slower traffic is a real buzz! The 2.0 GTI engine does have some engine management problems but they are more niggly than serious. I am 6' tall and have always found the 206's comfortable particularly the leather sports seats, although in the CC I could do with a ... more
