Advantages: Looks and sound more epensive than it is. Disadvantages: Not found one so far.
...lucky enough to win a Philips 28" widescreen (model 28pw6505c) recently, as it retails for around £600 is would normally have been out of my price range. When I received it I was very impressed, the setup menus are easy to use and with the auto-tune facility it basically does all the hard work for you. The picture quality is very good, obviously it isn't as good as the Sony wega TVs but then again you are paying nowhere near the same price. Having ... ...great, the Philips is still crystal clear with very little distortion from the screen itself. There is the option to manually switch between the different picture formats to ensure that whatever you are watching is optimised for your enjoyment.
The stereo sound quality is also good, you even get the option to configure the sound to your own personal taste if the 4 or 5 inbuilt options are not to your liking.
The stand is also more than adequate, ...

Advantages: Clear beautiful pictures Disadvantages: Not many
...volume unless it is a Philips brand. Motion and crispness of picture is second to none, with no flicker, it seemlesses plays documentaries at excellent detail. Add to this 100hz technology and possibly Phillips pixel plus, you have an excellent TV which, in my view, lasts and perfoms better than modern LCDs. Nevertheless, it is a great buy, and great to watvh in the comfort of your own home. Features: Pixel plus (on specific models) - enhances the ... ...pictures.
100hz - flicker free Dolby digital, virtual 3d surround and auto volume level as well as graphic equaliser.
Dynamic motion - for more smoother feel to movies.
Dynamic contrast : compensates the lighting conditions of the room to adjust the picture accordingly
This is a great TV of its time, and if you are not fashion conscious or even concerned of HD at this stage, then this offers a basic good value for money plus a brilliant picture ...

Advantages: Dolby Pro Logic and surround sound+28inches Disadvantages: There is not one that i can think about
WOW!This has to be the most prized possesion that i have ever invested in,it really does make television viewing exciting,it sits in my living room like a jewel in a crown.
There really is so much about this television,so much that calling it a tv set is an insult....where do i start.
I think that if i say, well er,well....right,if you are wanting to watch the latest blockbuster then why not set(the remote control is just so easy to use)your Phillips ... ...you are watching the footy then put it onto widesceen with the sound option on action. To go into a little more detail there are three sepparate viewing options(letterbox, widescreen and normal)and there is also different sound selections.
As well as the super television coming with fastext(with 100 page memory)for all the latest news, movie expand, subtitle zoom and widescreen just sit back and absorb modern technology.
I was lucky enough to get a ...

...is very jittery on them, Philips have a system called Natural Motion which helps with this problem but it is still noticeable. The sound is also very good, with wireless surround speakers, a superb integral subwoofer aand excellent Dolby Digital. Another fantastic feature worthy of note is the teletext system which stores 1200 pages in memory so no more waiting for the page to change, you can simply leaf through them. ...

Advantages: Loads of features and nice looking set Disadvantages: None i can find
I have recently purchased a philips 28" widescreen television (model 28pw6515c) and i am highly impressed with it all round. The product features include virtual dolby surround,100 page smart-text,dual screen text pages and a pure flat screen which gives you less picture distortions plus many more extras.
With the virtual dolby surround there is no need for any extra speakers like you get with the dolby pro logic models as the sound is projected ... ...creating a surround sound.Another great feature is the pure flat screen with this you can view the television set from any angle and you get less glare from windows.
The television is finished in a silver colour which will fit into any surroundings, the centre piece of any room.

Advantages: Picture quality and features Disadvantages: Expensive and poor remote
A very expensive TV, picture quality and features are surberb, but a few small problems. Before this set I had a conventional 28 inch television, in wide screen 28 inch is too small. I would reconmend moving up to 32 inches. Also, because of the 100hz facility, which can not be switched off, my Sony Playstation light gun will not work. Finally the numbers on the remote handset wear off quickly and it has a flap door just waiting to break off.
All ...
